Friday I had a plan for my meals and followed my plan. I also tracked every bite. I took care of myself by taking time to have my hair cut and colored.
2. What can you do this weekend to be ready for Monday?
I need to make a meal plan for the week. I also need to get groceries so I can follow the menu plan. Most of all, I need to get to work on clearing common areas so that when dh is ready to come home, home will be ready for him.

Right on Friday: I tried to pay attention to what I was eating. I did not shut down my distractions. I did get my steps in even though I was in the house all day except for going out for dinner. I tracked everything!
This weekend: I'll be doing my meal planning and food shopping tomorrow.

2. What can you do this weekend to be ready for Monday? I am really concentrating on more veggies. I like them fresh so I am prepping some fresh veggies to be easily prepared
Pam, I will take that first week in March. We return the end of Feb from our trip and I abstain from computer while away. It should work out okay. Marie

1. What did you do RIGHT on Friday while focusing on mindful eating? Fridays are usually my day to loosen up. Pizza and beer for dinner, ice cream for dessert. But I recognized that I had enough before I finished my pizza and stopped eating. I also got in 30 minutes of exercise.
2. What can you do this weekend to be ready for Monday? My son will be here tomorrow afternoon. I'm going to plan healthy meals for the time he is here.

2. What can you do this weekend to be ready for Monday? I need to clean up the kitchen a bit and make a meal plan for next week. I am eating out of the pantry and freezer this month, so menu will be driven by what I already have in the house. I am doing a challenge with a facebook group. Not purchasing any groceries except fresh fruit/veggies as needed.
I am going to a home/garden show at the fairgrounds this afternoon. Usually I try all the samples- just because they are there. Today I will resist.

I made myself sit down to eat. it is amazing how much I can mindlessly eat while just standing up & picking at my food.
I am going to make plans for the week, try to get past my son's b'day dinner tomorrow without cheating.

Since I didn't get to the message boards until nearly suppertime, I'm paying extra attention to mindful eating today. That said, I am eating lunch while typing this...so...well...maybe more work to do in this regard.
Plans for the future - I've realized over time some things that I have done in the past they led to success/made me feel better have slipped away. An example - I have made simple dips using yogurt and seasoning for fresh vegetables. Takes a little time, not much, but - for convenience, sometimes, I'd buy dips. Not as good-for-me. Pretty soon, it's a habit, and not the best one. I think I'm still a bit in the new year/looking forward mode - it's time to take charge of some of those little things and get back to them.

1. What did you do RIGHT on Friday while focusing on mindful eating? I recognized while scarfing down mouthfuls at dinner that I was, in fact, scarfing down mouthfuls. AND I STOPPED! I took time to savor each bite (after stopping the scarfing, at least).
2. What can you do this weekend to be ready for Monday? Sorry, that's not happening. For a few reasons. (a) Saturday is the Sabbath for me, so work that can just as easily be done during the week is considered one of the activities to avoid doing on the Sabbath. Planning is one thing, but cooking is another... (b) I teach pretty much all day on Sunday (9 to noon in one location, 1:30 to 4 in another; driving home from the second class takes at least 45 minutes, sometimes an hour, since it requires one stop with my carpool buddy). (c) We had a leaky pipe that flooded underneath the floor (kitchen, laundry room, bathroom, living room, dining room), so the crews to do all the repairs are in and out. We will have to be in a motel probably Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night this coming week. We may not be able to do any cooking those days. There's a slim possibility we can get a room with a kitchenette, but when we made reservations, there weren't any available...
