This thread is for anyone that has been away from WWs, had a gain, and is recommitting to the program. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. We love to use first names here, so tell us yours when you post.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes it is harder to keep it off and even if we fail, we keep trying, which is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, I count on talking to you guys each day and I am blessed to count you as friends.

Good morning friends, I'm sorry I didn't make it here yesterday. Work was very busy, I got my performance review submitted then helped my cube buddy get caught up on her stuff that had gotten pushed to the side due to an emergency situation that took up most of our time Thursday. Then when I finally got home, I changed to go out to catch a bite to eat with DH, and then when we got home it was bed time for me. I was pooped. Jana - I'm guessing your gall bladder surgery will be a laparoscopic procedure? I hope so, that such an easier recovery. I'm you're going to have to have the procedure done, but glad you know what the problem is, and there is a plan to take care of it. I know you're looking forward to feeling better. Linda - I haven't been but The Federal Restaurant is getting a lot of buzz. Thrillist described their oxtail french onion soup as "bucket list worthy" www.thefederalatl.com/For more casual and eclectic, I would personally recommend West Egg Cafe - kind of a traditional with southern twist. Great for breakfast, lunch, brunch and interesting dinner. There is a basic menu with specials that change everyday, and the best coffee in town. westeggcafe.com/A little bit North East of the city in Lilburn is the 1910 Public House. Fabulous craft beer list, if that is something of interest. and great food too. 1910publichouse.com/menus/dinner-menu/Also on the east side would be The Village Corner German Restaurant and Bakery in Stone Mountain Village for any meal - Sunday brunch always has interesting specials. They brew their own beer and every variety we've tried is delicious. The food ranges from classic german to a southern/german fusion type thing. Nice atmosphere with an outdoor beergarden (covered patio) weather permitting. www.germanrestaurant.com/We're supposed to have pretty much steady rainfall all weekend, so no hiking. We are going to breakfast with DD and DSIL this morning. DHs birthday was Monday, and we always do a birthday meal of the celebrants choice. He has chosen breakfast this year. After that we'll probably run a few errands and then kind of hang out around the house for the rest of the weekend and try to stay out of the weather. I hope everybody has a great weekend. Good luck to those of you with WI today - fingers crossed!!

Good morning Lora and all to follow. Those restaurants sound fantastic, Lora! West Egg Cafe sounds like my kind of place... Your weekend plans sound nice, actually. Did you get your Fitbit yesterday?
I have WI this morning then out to breakfast with DNeighbor. Luckily no rain in the forecast here today, just cloudy but supposedly up around 50. I don't think we've seen the sun since last Monday and the gloom is really getting to me. Looking forward to seeing my brother and friends today (and maybe even meeting Robin!) and getting lots of steps in.
Have a great day all.

Andi - The West Egg is pretty awesome. That's the place we go for breakfast anytime we're in the city for 5Ks, our stair climb, etc. I did get my fitbit. It came in Thursday actually. I got it all set up Thursday night. I love the little buzzy reminders yesterday...."It's step-thirty." to remind me to move. I didn't have that on the last one. Well, I could have set generic alarms in the app, but these are much more fun. I'm looking forward to my first hike with it to see how it counts vs. my old one. I may wear one on each wrist...just out of curiosity. DD wore both her new and her old for the first couple of days and said that they were within about 20 steps of each other by the end of the day, so that was good to hear. We've had highs in the high 60s to low 70s this week. I hope it's not here to stay though. I'm now quite ready to give up on winter. I dread the onset of pollen and mosquitoes, so hoping we can get just a little of the colder weather back for a bit. "

Hi Everyone, It's supposed to be yucky weather here too, damp and dreary. Tommorow night into Monday we are supposed to be getting the heavy rain that Lora was talking about. My friend and I are going to a Thai restaurant we like to eat at for lunch. I will probably go to Aqua zumba beforehand. I am lazy about getting up to go to the regular zumba in the studio. I consulted Jasmine's vet last week about seeing if she could prescribe something different for her. The appetite stimulant while helping her to eat initially was making her get sick almost immediately after ingesting it. She is now on a steroid medicine which she said may help with inflammation. So far she seems to be doing better with it and has not gotten sick on it and is eating her food. Other than going to the gym and lunch today don't have too many plans so hopefully I can get some things done at home that I have started but never finished. Have a great day! Bbl.

Good Morning ROs...went to WI this morning, but didn't WI since I had an eating in bed issue last night...darn...and I was down a lb til then. DH and I will head to the gym soon and we are having DSon's birthday dinner today or tomorrow...have to check with him.
Andi and Robin - have a safe trip...at least I can count on you two not to get arrested for throwing bricks into cars, buildings, starting fires, etc. Everyone has the right to protest, but these people are going crazy.
Robin - yes, there are exercises DH can do at home, but we do not have the machines and other equipment they have at the PT facility.

Just a pop in to say hi, thanks for the list Lora, I will pass it on. I am leaving in about an hour to take the train in and meet Andi, I figure it's a once in a lifetime experience, not to meet her, but to be a part of something like this. You are right, we will not do anything, and if things around us get too rough, I will just leave.

I am back home, a great experience, and I did meet Andi, her brother, and some of his friends, who were all really nice. We ended up stopping with her brother and one of the women for something to eat, we were just going to have coffee, but then I noticed that they had tuna tartare on their menu as an appetizer, which we figured was 4 pts. A good snack.

Hi again, I got my blood results back from my doctor and got up the nerve to look at it, this after having lunch with my friend at the Thai restaurant. I really think even with that my choices are pretty healthy overall. I am pleased with the results and my work trying to improve. It is now prediabetic. Not all that far from the diabetic level so will continue to have to watch what I am eating, carbs, etc. My other numbers are much better too,ie- cholesterol, triglycerides, etc. My friend wanted to go shopping for a few things at the grocery store nearby. Since it is supposed to rain heavy tommorow I figured I would get a few things I needed too. I came home after and did laundry and called to get the travel insurance for the trip. Andi and Robin, I hope you were able to find each other at the rally. My sister's friends went down to the one in Washington, D.C. My sister considered it but in the end decided against going. She may have gone to the one in Philadelphia. Thats really about it. Have a good night.
