Good Evening,
Your day sounded nice yesterday Michelle, I meant to get on and got sidetracked!
There are a few things going on of note that will be affecting my CB/Organization efforts. One is the long term houseguest (6 months) is my first cousin's son, a great young man, will be coming to live with us while he completes 6 months of his job training in our area. I'm looking forward to this for a couple of reasons. 1. It has forced me to address the build up in the guest room, guest room closet and organization/containiment of what remains which is DH's hobby stuff as I have known about this for some time. 2. He is such a positive good person I am secretly looking forward to the interractions and influence he may have with the kids, and mainly my son. There area few things left to address in the guest room but I have great storage, drawers and did purchase a $50.00 entry way type stand that can go in the corner of room for him which has a two shelf shoe rack, 12 hanging hooks and an upper bar. This way he can hang some of his more casual, daily wear and dry his bath towel in his room etc. which will take some of the stress off the bathroom he will be using with my kids. I also emptied the rest of the vanity set of drawers yesterday so they are clear. I have four, large/deep, clear plastic, stackable, like 24"x24" drawers for him to use that came out of DS' room and garage that will set in one out of the way corner. He has 4 drawers in the closet builtin. I put two smaller clear stackable drawers I already had on hand 12"20" long that fit between the legs of one of the night tables, underneath/out of the way, he can use for small doo-dads and such. Hung the remaining clothes from that closet in the corner hallways closet so he has two hanging areas, are clear. and there 4 larger shelves and 4 little shelves in the present closet built in as well, all clear. I"ll bring up a sturdier folding chair he can use at the table in front of the window if he wants to work up there. The table and chairs are antiques, he's a big guy, so I'll bring the antique chair out as it might not take the strain of everyday use and it's petite. THIngs to do are organize pantry and parts of both fridges, kitchen and garage so he has some space for what he likes...basically make sure they are purged, organized and clean. Thanks for listening to that.
Next...DH is gone for two weeks, this is longer than normal trip for him...I WILL GET THE REST OF THESE TASKS HANGING OVER ME DONE!!!! DEN< LAUNDRY ROOM< KITCHEN DESK AREA.
When he gets home, I will ask him in earnest if we can purge some bags, duffels and suitcases. There is just too much and it's in spaces that could be used more appropriately for other needs. I will broach the subject. In my estimation of having been through this stuff I think there are 30 that could be parted with, this is just from what is "inside" the house. We shall see. THanks for listening....again.
I walked today...I've walked every day...my feet are feeling good! Made pretty good choices, scale is moving down slowly but surely!
Crafting: I started another picture, paper mosaic on one of the boards I got at the field trip to To that big craft store which for some reason I cannot remember the name of any more...Hobby Lobby? Hobby Town? Yikes! I still need to apply for their coupons.

Z, Very interesting post about the guest bedroom! Sounds like you are really getting it the way you want it. What pattern or theme for the mosaic?
I have been diligently trying to make sure I deal with things as they come up. However, some closets, cupboards etc are starting to look like stash and dash havens. The basement is suffering somewhat also. Just by spending a few minutes here and there though things are getting more under control. The old collie has to go to the doctor next week. He has been so sick that he hasn't been brushed and still can't be taken to the dog groomer. I need to do something but he hates it and I don't want to stress him out since he doesn't feel good. This is on my nerves so thanks for reading.
I had a grand plan for today but some dental mumbo jumbo appeared last night so I had to drive into town and spent an hour plus at the dentist's office. Editing... However I remained emotionally elegant all through the experience. Hooray for that! It took such discipline to remain calm etc. I think it is kind of like emotional eating. Rather than do that I just start going on and on in my head about a stressor. Anyway I have crossed that behavior off my list but found I felt like there was an empty space that needed to be filled--which normally would have been filled with a lot of internal jabbering. This is all to do with my hard work with my affirmation "Change my thinking, Change my life!" and my spiritual goal of being "emotionally elegant". Working very very hard on this. Thanks for reading also.
Hope you have fun with your mosaic!
