Well, that meal is going to give me a gain for sure. But it sure was good. Z picked his goto tex-mex place for dinner. We also had a great conversation where he told his dad he wants to attend the community college. I guess I dropped a bomb on him....didn't realize he didn't know this....DH had a full ride scholarship to Miss State University. He chose to go to the Jr College mostly to wait until I graduated high school. We got married & then had to take out loans & all the things one does to go to college. Z is totally dumbfounded that his dad did that. So, we at least agreed to a few things. DH actually said he was not going to kick Z out, but once he chose to go, he would be on his own. Y'all, this is a huge thing for my men. I really hope & pray DH doesn't say something stupid tonight to piss me off. That's been the way of things lately.
Off to bed. It's early, but those enchiladas always make me sleepy. Night all.

Finally checking in again. Long story short, the windows are in. There was some drama between the installers and the office as the sizes on several were extremely tight, leaving little room for squaring up. Once they started working, I left and came home. No sense in my staying and fretting over it. Only problem that needs addressed is that they broke off my kitchen sink gooseneck faucet while putting in that window. They said we can go get a new one at Home Depot and they will reimburse us as well as send someone out to install it. DH said he would rather just install it himself. I didn't pay the final half of the job because I wanted DH to inspect the work and make sure it was acceptable. Funny thing is, the new windows look so much bigger than the old ones. I guess because we installed so many that don't open, so they don't have a divider in them. With Central air, there's no need to open them. The lady is going to call me in the morning so I can give her the check.
Then I need to go grocery shopping and pick up hair color and color my hair. Tonight I organized the projects I want to take to the retreat. Need to start carrying stuff downstairs to load into the car Sunday. should stop at the bank for cash, the gas station, and will need to pack clothes. (No idea yet what I'm wearing.) Tomorrow will be a very busy day.
Fell asleep as soon as the WVU game finished and didn't wake up till DH walked in at 7pm. He drove to the rental after work to spread some gravel on the driveway and look at the windows. It is supposed to rain tomorrow starting in the morning. He wanted to get the gravel done while it was dry.
WVU and Marshall both won! Unfortunately, they have to play each other next game. โน๏ธ
Hope I can get some sleep.

Good morning,
Sandy, glad y'all made it home safely.
Connie, bet the windows look really nice in the house. That's got to help with the energy bills. I noticed at the other house, one of the windows has a little crack around the bottom. Mentioned it to DH & he says there are several in that house that need replaced.
JT, saw where y'all are expecting another storm. Enough already.
Started the antibiotics last night. Must eat with food. Other than my urine smelled, I didn't have the other symtoms that go with a bladder infection. I did mention that to the nurse and she said they'd send it off to make sure nothing else was going on. Also started the eye drops. These are supposed to help get your tears going. Dr said I have tears in my eyes, they're just not making enough to help flush out the allergies.
On today's agenda.....A has a sleep over. I need to stop at the Dollar Tree to pick up a cake plate. I think I'm going to do online ordering again from WM to save time. Need to start working on lessons for the week and get a few pages in the yearbook done. Laundry somewhere in all this. I volunteered A for working in the nursery tomorrow and since she's not going to be there, I'll have to do it. Should be interesting. Slept til 9:00, so I need to get up and moving. Y'all have a great day. BBL.

Yes Becky we're hoping this will be all he needs on the Keytruda since the 7 treatments weren't covered by insurance since it was "off label" use. And 7 treatments were about $150,000!!!! So his doc petitioned Merck who provided the medication for free. So if he needs more, they'll have to re-petition and you never know if they'll donate more. OTOH if he's having a good outcome and only needs a couple more, they probably WILL b/c his results will go toward them getting his type of cancer as an "on label" use. Right now it's only for squamous cell cancer of the lung I think.
JT yeah get out and get that hair taken care of before your roots start looking like that "OMBRE" look (think Kim Kardashian w/ platinum hair and those big black roots). ANd you better do it b/4 you're snowed in AGAIN. egads
STEPH you must be so relieved that the school issue has been put out on the table and discussed between the 2 of them. And I'm big on the 4 year university experience of living away etc HOWEVER when I see these kids graduating, saddled with debt, well.... that experience comes at a VERY HIGH cost. Interesting that you also had no symptoms on your UTI. Of course since I have no sense of smell I couldn't tell if my urine had any odor.
CONNIE we also rarely open our windows. Most days it's either too cool or too hot so even when it would be perfect weather, we don't even think about it. And yeah, if they're arguing between themselves, I'd have taken a leave also. Nothing you could do and it would have just been frustrating. Bummer on the sink faucet though! Maybe you can hurry, buy one, and just make your check out less the cost than try to get reimbursed.
SANDY too true about the "real world". And most folks gain on vacation. Different schedule. Eating out. Alcohol. That weight hasn't "taken root" so you'll get rid of it quickly.
haha LOUISE @ the dollar flush. I'd take that pass in a heartbeat!!
Well add me to the "needs hair color" list. I do it every 4 weeks and I'm only at 3 weeks but I think getting the haircut made it more obvious. I'll try and hold our. Nothing big on the agenda today but finish putting the mulch out and maybe buying some plants and getting the in before the mulch. I did 3 bags under my front tree. It looks so nice and lush and black but I kind of forgot that it was DYED black and I didn't use gloves and had flip flops on. So I had to scrub the heck out of the bottoms of my feet and palms of my hands. THen it stained the tub so I had to get the Comet cleanser on the tub. NOTE TO SELF: wear one of the 4 or 5 pairs of gardening gloves I have laying around in the garage!! We're supposed to get rain in the late afternoon so I don't want to wait too long. I have 10 more bags of mulch to distribute.

Hey all. Hope everyone is well. Went got my hair trimmed and colored. I'm lucky because I can go @ 7-8 weeks in between. My hair doesn't grow too quickly and with the color it is, I really don't show roots. Not skunk stripes here!! My natural hair color is reddish brown and that's what I continue to have it colored. I really don't have a lot of grey either, so I'm fortunate that way too. When my mom passed at age 95, she barely had any grey, just her temples. My dad, a red head, had none when he passed, so it's in the genes.
Connie, have fun at your retreat. I'm sure you will and you will learn some new techniques. Good that the windows are done. Hopefully DH approved and he is able to replace the faucet.
Okay, working on laundry. Check back later. JT

Has been a busy day so far. Went to the store, bought lots of healthier options for the snack table. Including enough veggies for 2 veggie trays. Bought some progress minestrone soup, turkey and laughing cow cheese for sandwiches at lunch. That will be one meal where I can control my points. Bought flavored popcorn chips, goldfish crackers and goodthins. Also some rice crispy treats. I'll have more food in my car than fabric at this rate!
Joe went to the house to work on floors. He wanted me to bring him lunch, so I stopped at Subway and delivered it. Good thing I did. He stopped and bought a faucet. It was oil rubbed bronze. Everything else in the kitchen is brushed nickel. So I'm making him take it back. And I am going to deduct the cost from my bill before I pay. The window lady might be unhappy with that, but she will get over it.
I also stopped at the bank and asked about loan rates so I can put siding on that house. Ended up applying for a home equilty line of credit. Rate is 2.9% for a year. Hoping to have it sold within that time. If not, the rate would only go to prime, so still not bad. I asked for about 3 times what I need, just in case we have to do foundation work. Nice to have a cushion.
Still need to pack and get more sewing stuff together. And I think we are supposed to meet friends for dinner.
Colored my hair this morning. My roots are darker than the color I use, so it's not as noticeable when it's due to be done. But the grays kind of sparkle in those dark roots.

JT, my mother went grey very late in life, but my dad went a beautiful silver white starting in his late 40's and he had a full head of the most gorgeous wavy white hair in his 90s. I'm white around the face then SALT and SALT and SALT and pepper the rest. Kind of the color of a Brillo pad. Not a nice color. I used to be blonde but now I'm red. I want to go natural but can't figure out how to do it short of practically shaving my head.
SHAKING MY HEAD @ CONNIE's DH and the oil rubbed bronze in a nickel house! MEN! And since the window lady doesn't have to send anyone out to install the faucet she should count herself lucky. That's a great teaser rate on the HELOC.
I went to Calloway's and bought several hundred bucks of flowers. That place is expensive so $300 doesn't go a very long way. But they have such gorgeous stuff. I would look at something, have NO idea what it was, see if it could take sun and if so I'd say "I'm buying it." I also dragged around some big DAMP bags of mulch. Those suckers are heavy esp when they're wet. I put 5 bags around 2 trees, and Bob's doing the other 7. He and I planted the stuff and now he's mulching around them. It looks great but that sun was HOT and all of a sudden I realized I had a pounding headache and wasn't making saliva. Then I thought I'd throw up. I popped in a cool shower and am drinking a diet Sunkist and had some water. Pretty sure I was dehydrated b/c me w/ my baby bladder... I haven't pee'd in ages. I think I'll take us out for sushi. There's a new place that people seem to love.

Connie I'm sure the windows in the house look really nice and will definitely help with electric bills.
Sandy I'm glad y'all had a fun time.
Steph I hope the antibiotics and eye drops help.I have had dry eyes for years and my eyes just won't tear.By the end of the day my eyes hurt.I have been using Systane Ultra and it makes them feel better.
Celeste That's too much darn money for 7 treatments. They mentioned something about rain this afternoon but as usual nothing happened.Maybe tomorrow. My hair is growing out on my neck and although I would like to let it grow I'm already feeling hot because of the length.
JT I hope you like your color and cut and I also hope you don't get another snow storm. We are at 83 degrees right now.
Have fun at the wedding Suze.
Connie You have been busy.Enjoy your retreat.
Celeste that's a lot of money for flowers.I hope you are feeling better. We have had very little sun but it's still hot.

It poured here for about 20 minutes. For once we were on top of things and the rain started about 10 minutes AFTER we finished. 12 big bags of mulch and about 2 -3 dozen flowers or so. Looks lovely. But after lots of liquids and a tepid shower, I started feeling worse and worse. I am just too old for this physical labor stuff. Seriously. Lugging mulch took a lot out of me. We went and got sushi and we both felt better after some food as we'd only had eggs earlier in the day. Ladies, I'm no SUZE. I'm also gonna be 67 this year. OLD AGE SUCKS.

Celeste hope you are feeling better. You have to be on top of drinking water when you're out working. Hopefully you won't be sore tomorrow from the lugging around of the mulch bags.
Connie, do not mention that you are thinking of selling the house. Most banks won't do loans on house on the market. When I was doing mortgages and home equity, we couldn't do loans on houses for sell. We also couldn't do home equity on homes that weren't your primary residence. Enjoy the retreat.
Can't believe you ladies are planting flowers. My crocuses have bloomed and have been buried by snow....poor man's fertilizer. Supposed to get more next week. Haven't heard how much yet. Maybe not much to a gully whumper. Even an inch is too much right now.
Celeste, in order to grow out your hair, you'll have to keep it short and trim it every 2 weeks or so. It can be done but you have to be patient and on top of it. My cousin's wife, Connie, let hers grow out over this past summer. I saw her last Saturday at the cousin's funeral I went to. Her hair looked gorgeous. It was such a pretty white with her olive skin.
Got most of the laundry done. Some grocery shopping done and a trip to Wally World. Needed to pick up all the OTC stuff we take - Advil, Tylenol, Arthritis and PM - $92 later. What a waste of money, but we both take it, so needed to stock up.
I have been so sleepy all day today. I was falling asleep in the car on the way back from WW. DH started talking to me and I was asleep. Not good. Need to sleep a full night tonight. Don't want to be awake at 3 AM!
Okay, ladies, night. Happy Sunday.

Celeste Eggs will not last you all day.You need to eat some food. You don't have to eat 13 points but you need something between eggs and sushi.Especially when it's hot and you are working outside in it.I don't see how you keep from getting shaky when you don't eat enough. My legs get weak when I haven't had enough to eat.You need some kind of snack during the day even if it's turkey wrapped around a pickle spear. You also need fiber in some of that food even if it's 0 point veggies.
It thundered a couple of times tonight but no rain. Not even a sprinkle.Hopefully tomorrow.
