SANDY- I wouldn't blame her! Sounds like it was a really great family vacation. Something for everyone. And she is SO stinkin' cute in that ski outfit.
It did turn out to be a big mistake to nap so long. I went to bed at 1:30am and was up at 5:30 this morning. Will likely be a zombie by suppertime.
Think I'm going to get several breakfast biscuits from McDonald's and take to the rental for the window installers. Everyone appreciates free breakfast, right?

The third id is the soldiers that go to war. There is one of the major army bases here. Since Pence is coming to march along with his wife and mother they are enforcing all sorts of restrictions. This parade is like #2 in the country. It is very long and I would not want to watch it and not sit down. At least where my family goes is not under restrictions.

Lol CONNIE that video was so funny
But the waffle mix was BLUEBERRY!!! Who ruins good waffles with blueberries?? No waffles for me.
We covered a LOT of ground yesterday from the canyon to Flagstaff. Went through snow, rain, wind, sun in the course of the day. The Wupatki Natl Monument/park and Sunset Volcano near Flagstaff were phenomenal.
Starving by the time we headed toward Williams and devoured a delicious NY strip w/grilled shrimp, loaded baked potato. Went all out after 15k steps and 56 flights of hiking around.
Found my patch of property in Williams and surveyed the surroundings. Bear in mind, this is an acre on a dirt track in the middle of nowhere so there's not much to see lol.
Time to shower and get ready to head south. Going to shop a bit in Sedona and visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross, a recommended must-see.

Morning....sad that it's Friday...that means the weekend and then the crazy starts back. But, I'm going to enjoy the rest of my time. Have my mammogram this afternoon. Will take Autumn's friend home & then out to dinner. Have spent the morning in bed being lazy....only got up b/c the girls wanted waffles. Got my waffle and didn't cry about.
The boy got home safe last night. They had a great day trip. I didn't realize how uptight I was until he walked in the door. As of now, the plan is he'll stay here and go to the local community college. I am so ok with that.
Sandy, y'all had a great family vacation. It will be one the kids will remember. Glad y'all had a great time. Sage travels home.
Suze, love the pics. Enjoy the rest of your trip and be safe.
Do need to get up and start getting ready for my appt. As lazy as I am right now, it's going to take some time.

haha SANDY when my kids were little and we passed around ice cream (or anything) and ate directly from the container or serving bowl w/o putting in individual bowls we called it "taking smoogies". Smoogies taste the best and have 0 calories!
CONNIE I was thinking about you in the middle of the night. I was really restless and wondered if you were tossing and turning (probably misery liking company).
LOUISE first I thought id was id, ego and superego ala Freud. Then I though ID like "do you have any ID?" So I googled and found out it was infantry division. And yeah I'm too old to stand thru an entire parade.
BLEAAAAAH SUZE. For a girl w/ really weird food tastes, you're SPOT ON with this one. NO berries in my waffles and pancakes. EVER. (I don't even want them in my muffins tyvm) I saw on the weather that 4 corners area was having some weather issues and thought of you 2 intrepid travelers.
STEPH Bob took yesterday off b/c he had Keytruda #5 infusion. So I woke up this AM thinking today was Sunday. I'm so messed up. And I guess a kid going away to college or staying home each has its own set of issues.
So since it's actually FRIDAY I have a haircut in an hour so I best get dressed.

On the fly check in... headed 90 miles north this morning (from ddโs to dsโs). Birthday party for our little 3yr old leprechaun is tomorrow. โ๏ธ Tonight we have the cake to decorate & an Irish Beef & Guinness stew to prep. Sometime this weekend we will have to go to Scoops....a seasonal local ice cream icon that opened for the season today.
Waves to all!
Need to catch up on posts / the news & happenings...

Sandy I'm glad everyone had such a great time.I'm sure it will be hard on Katy coming back.
Connie I'm sure the installers would enjoy any kind of food.
Suze It sounds like you are having lots of fun also.A NY strip sounds delicious.I'm with you on no blueberries on waffles. In fact I can't remember the last time I have had waffles.
Steph I'm sorry your week has gone by so fast.It seems like you have had a doctor's appointment every day.I'm glad Z got home safely.
Celeste How is Bob doing since he has now had 5 treatments?
My SIL called just as we were about to eat lunch. My oldest brother has prostate cancer. The doctor told him if his dad had it more than likely he would get it.Well that's 2 out of 3 brothers that have it now.My middle brother did the seeds but my brother's is pretty aggressive so on 4/5 he will have a hormone injection to help shrink the prostate. Then 2 months later he will have radiation 5 days a week for 8 weeks. My dad died of it b/c back then it wasn't as treatable as it is now.
I made an appointment with my NP for Monday to get the process started for the knee injections again.I won't go to the same ortho surgeon I went to last year but there is another one in the same practice that has pretty good reviews so I would want to see him.I can only wear my jeans when we go somewhere b/c when I sit around in them at home my knee hurts b/c there's not enough room in the knee.
It looks like TX decided to skip spring this weekend.I rode my bike this morning b/c it was misting rain when I wanted to walk so I walked after lunch and it was hot.The sun felt like it was beaming down on my neck. The bike will come in handy during the 90-100 plus days.

LOUISE whenever I think about a parade, my first thought is... where are the BATHROOMS!?!? Having a pea sized bladder is a PITA.
ANGIE I either forgot or never realized your little one's b/day was St Patty's day. I probably just forgot.
BECKY, Bob is tolerating the treatments very well. But when I ask how effective it is, he says the doctor only spends about 30 seconds with him, asks about how he feels post treatment, then leaves. He feels that the lesions are smaller but they're not gone for sure. I THINK there's going to be a come-to-Jesus evaluation/discussion by treatment 7 b/c he got the initial "donation" from Merck for 7 treatments. And bummer on your brother, but as you said, prostate cancer is now one of the cancers that has the best treatment and long term prognosis. AMEN on skipping spring. It's 86 here today. Some red flag fire warnings just to the west of us. Luckily it's a bit breezy but not bad here. I LOVE our humidity...8%. I feel like I'm in California!!

Becky, sorry about your brother, but you're right, treatment is way better now. I love this weather. If it would stay like this year round, I'd be happy. Of course that's not going to happen with our 100 degree days ahead.
And yes, an appt almost every day this week. So, I almost got hit by an 18-wheeler. Got my boobs smushed. Took 18 minutes to pick up my eye drop prescriptions ($112). Was in line to get the kids food & got a call from my dr to tell me I have a bladder infection. Dropped food at house and got a text from DH asking for help to clean the kitchen at the other house. That took an hour & then back to Walgreens to pick up antibiotic. Put eye drops in my eyes not thinking I need to drive A's friend back home. Now just waiting to make sure I can see clearly before we go.
Off again.....

Well STEPH that's plain strange. My G/F went for a routine check up and was told she had a bladder infection. On my November routine check up I was told I HAD a bladder infection. Neither of us had any symptoms. Now you? Is it something in the air?
I got my fresh eggs... or as they say in Texas... my AIGS. Got my hair trimmed. Actually just kind of cleaned up since I'm trying to get it longer.. but it was really shaggy. But it helped. Bob said "Did you lighten your hair?" NOOOOO I got it cut!! At least he noticed some kind of difference.
Dinner is going to be pork loin chops w/ some applesauce (cheating and using unsweetened in the single serving cups). Left over ratatouille, and I'm making another batch of Thai Curried Carrot Soup (0 P) b/c I have left over silken tofu from the last time I made it and it's either use it or toss is and I'm not big on using tofu unless I'm making a stir fry.
Waiting on my mulch. The scout delivering it (w/ his dad) called about an hour and a half ago to say he'd be here in about an hour. So it should be soon. No big deal b/c I doubt we'll spread it out until tomorrow. I want to plan my front flower bed before doing the mulch (I usually do it the other way round which is 'tupid. )

Steph Phooey on all the appointments this week and now a bladder infection. No wonder you don't want the week to end.You haven't had a chance to rest.
Celeste at least Bob noticed something was different about your hair.I hope the treatments are helping him especially if he is about to run out of money the drug company helped with.
Kenneth is going to finish the pork tenderloin tomorrow night.I let him have it the last few nights because I was tired of the pulled pork.I had a chicken, grape and walnut salad I found on WW and tweaked it like I wanted it.I have had tuna sandwiches for lunch the last 2 days with assorted raw veggies with plain Greek yogurt. It's been nice to have something different for a change.
We have to go back to Bastrop tomorrow to pick up a lawn mower part Kenneth had to order. We still don't know when we will be able to get his PU fixed. We also need to stop at the vet to get Scooter her Heartguard and flee pills. It wasn't the hottest I've seen today but walking in the sun made me appreciate my recumbent bike more.I turned on the AC this afternoon before I did my 2nd 20 minutes on it.I am going to tell Kenneth we are not eating out for lunch tomorrow so he better be ready to go earlier than usual.Although my knee hurts some on the recumbent bike it doesn't seem to hurt as bad as when I walked this afternoon.

Hi all. Hope everyone is well. So glad it's Friday. Unlike Steph, I am thrilled to have arrived here. I so need to rest this weekend. Very tired and can't sleep in too late tomorrow as I have my hair appointment. Needs some color and some trimming.
We are being told to prepare for Nor'easter 4 for next week. Supposed to hit Tuesday night in to Wednesday. I so hope they are wrong.
Okay, waving to all. Check in tomorrow.
