Good morning, Michelle, a new car, cool. I loved it when I finally got a new car about 8 years ago. We have only had 2 brand new cars in our lives (and we are in our 50's). One was my DH's truck he got 13 years ago from money from the sale of our house in CA when we moved to NC and one was the one I got 8 years ago. When we were younger, all our cars were clunkers because my DH was a mechanic before he got his engineering degree. At this age, we have decided that we are tired of fixing up cars and we are the type that keep our cars for as many years as possible.
Z: you are doing such an awesome job. I remember when my mom redid my room when I was a teen and the wonderful feeling I had to have an organized room as I was never an organized person with physical space.
So proud of myself that I got my pantry organized. It still is not how I want things to be, but the prob is that the pantry has really deep shelves but they are not high so stacking is not possible. I felt ashamed at the amount of food I had to throw away because I couldn't see what's in there and kept buying product we already owned and now the older stuff is out of date. But I feel much better about what is in there.
I haven't done any Christmas shopping so I need to go out and do it. I hate shopping and I rarely shop on-line. Ugh.
CB List: Put away the tubs that Christmas decorations came out of Clear out anything I see that was taken down (like pictures) to put wreaths up and put away Clear off anything that I can from dining room table (need to leave DH's tools there for now) Clear off breakfast bar

Good Morning,
Cathy, Good job on the pantry organization. Yes, it's easy to lose track of things in deep shelving. Good luck with the shopping.
I had redone my DS room when he turned 14 (they are 15 months apart) but he is not such a clutter bug as she is and it was easier to do. She's pretty intense personality. Although she'd gotten rid of a lot, there was still a lot to deal with and to take me out of it, get better ideas, I bought a Simplify Expert package, 12 hours of work, to come in and work with her. If she doesn't use the whole package they will work with me on problem areas with what time is left. It ahs already been beneficial and things have been moved, into what is a better working area for her which I would not have thought of and a lot of stuff went out the door and the best part is they haul it away too!! I went to a "Preparing to Launch" seminar offered by them, with tips and what not to help teens get organized and be more independent. I have been implementing many tips as I can, on my own as well.
Teen Organization: -got the kids stuff transferred to the new clear, hanging file totes from The Container Store. Found the charging cords and plugs to each of their graphing calculators. The additional clear pencil case, and pencil sized compartmentalized case, like 2.5" x 7" and an inch deep, fit in the fronts. There are paper clips, each has a pair of scissors, a hole punch, sticky note flags, pens and pencils, erasers and a ruler. I'm going to get the label maker out today and lable their charging cords, plugs for those as well as the charging cords for their laptops. These are going to allow me to do a major dump CB of three drawers of supply crap in the family room built ins. The only thing I think I need them to do is figure out what mechanical pencils they are using most of the time and which leads so those can be put in the totes as well, as well as the lead refill little containers.
ToDos: -Pt appointment for feet -put laundry away -label charging cords and totes -general pick up -call gut to get refresher on how the plowing works for the cabin

Carol, I just can't even keep up with all of this stuff. I had to CB some cans and am just glad that I remembered to check. Good job on phase one of the pantry organization. Just out of curiosity, can you remove shelves or put them at different levels? DH reorganized/made me extra shelves for two hall closets and it makes all the difference in the world. One used to be for coats--what a mess that was. Just chatting, not suggesting. Today - another loser day. Ugg! This dog stuff is starting to make me Cray-Cray. It's making the dog crazy too! Talked to the laser vet and she says that the dog could just come once a week instead of twice, and in fact that once a week is the protocal (glad I asked). That would seriously help so we will work to see if that is doable. I wonder if I could buy one of those laser machines and get someone to teach me how to use it. Accomplishments: - New car is insured - Got all my Christmas cards out - Dog to water treadmill/laser/conference with vet - Dog to ears vet - Some chores for DH. Z, It sounds like those organizational things for the kidlets supplies was a CBing victory! You made me laugh about DS's driving. Good job getting to the donation center. Can't remember if I told you that DH thought DD was such a bad driver that he refused to get in the car if she was driving. However, she did not know that until recently since he was very clever about avoiding without letting her know he was doing it. BTW, thanks for posting about those teen organization totes, I thought it was very interesting. I looked on UTUBE to get an idea of what a graphing calculator is.It made me wonder what the application is for it--other than math. Tomorrow - I am going to forge onward with the projects starting with the quickest ones to give me a sense of accomplishment. Hoping for a productive day!
