Good morning, Lori - it will be worth all the work, retirement is great. Louis - Re the crumbs getting deep by the sink?
We looked at two flats yesterday, one over budget and the owner refused our lower offer , the second was just ok. Today we will look at two more. At least realtors are contacting us. Debbie

Good morning.
Raining on my walk to the train station today. The needles on the Keurig are fixed and I'm drinking the pod that didn't work yesterday because 50ยข saved is 50ยข earned, right?
CEO was in and out yesterday like a teenager's first time. Didn't get a chance to go over things with him and I'm realizing this will be an ongoing challenge. He's not back again until next week. I don't work like that. So, I'm just going to start doing what I think needs to be done and see if I get any resistance.
Are rents comparable to what they were back home, Debbie?
Cleaning crew came yesterday, so there's no evidence of the bachelor lifestyle other than the single plate, knife and fork in the drying rack. ๐

Good morning
Debbie, thanks for the start. So you have to make offers to rent? Good luck in finding something quickly. Pots and pans out the windows...strange.
Lou, good for you having a clean home when Cecilia gets back!
Lori, did the cast come off? I agree people are crazy ;-)
Virginia, you are awesome getting your steps in even when time is tight. I just give up. lol Working on that.
Vicki, I still have dreams about not having my paperwork right for retirement. It is stressful. Hopefully it will be over soon for you.
Thanks for all the feedback and support on "losing weight is hard." I think March was just a bad month for me this year. My parents anniversary was hard for some reason this year. Anyway, thanks I appreciate it. I'm not giving up.

Debbie, I forgot to mention that my Dson is still doing the program. He has lost 14.8 pounds so far (3 weeks). He is a great support system for me and so is my DSis. I talked to her yesterday about tracking. She said it finally clicked for her recently on using only the app. We both were doing the app and paper. Kind of drives ya nuts. So I am only using the app now.

Dual tracking only works for short periods of time for me, Brenda. And it's usually because I'm diagnosing a problem or trying out program tweaks.
It may be surprising to learn, but I am the neat one in our household. The house will be just as clean when she returns as it was yesterday. ๐

Hi,
Thanks for starting us, Debbie. I'm sorry that finding a flat is presenting such a challenge. Thank you, I did a lot of reflecting on Sunday during my long walk. It was helpful. What is the deal with throwing pots, pans and water out windows? Sounds like a good day to stay indoors.
Hi Lori, we got to FaceTime with the FL gang on Saturday. They are doing well, finally everyone is over the flu and other crud. DGD#1 has recently been introduced to educational games on the iPad, so she was really not thrilled that she had to watch GinGin and Grandpa interact with everyone, she wanted to play one of the games. So we got lots of smiles from her little sister and some good ear perk-ups from DGranddog while we talked with DS & DDIL. Four weeks of homework? Whew. I hope the cast comes off soon. How is your DM?
Hi Lou, congrats on a clean house and many hours of NCAA basketball viewing. Finally, wings and basketball! The earth is now back on its axis. Hooray for the Keurig working as it should. Um, the CEO should understand that if no direction/advice/agenda is in place, you have to forge in the manner you see fit. I hope you can get a block of quality time with him next week.
Hi Vicki, I am not such a fan of paperwork, and I can get stymied by things that are really important for fear of not completing the forms correctly. I really got wound up in that when I was handling DPops' affairs, but my attention to the deadline dates got me over the hump.
Hi Brenda, your DS is doing very well on the plan. I agree, some times are especially challenging with WL. Those anniversaries hit me harder some years than others, I understand what you mean about that. Lou has a great point re: dual tracking. It's tough to sustain long term. Heck, some people have a hard time tracking in only one form for more than a few days...so you go, sister! I'm sort of using the app but I'm not really a wholehearted fan.
Sunday's 10 miler was a challenge. It was super windy, windier than a previous Sunday. It was cold and overcast. I felt as if I had really accomplished something when I got home. DSis came over for a bit and got more items from our attic. I finally got on DS#2's agenda and spent some time with him on Sunday. Yesterday was work, today is work and yoga at midday.
I hope all are doing well.
Take care, Ginia
