Hello, Vicki - nice to see you checking in. How's retirement? Virginia - yippee on a good meeting. I hope you are relaxing.
It was fun going to the beach and seeing the procession yesterday. They do like costumes here. I am sore from body pump yesterday. We are taking it easy today, will get in some steps on the city tour later today. Debbie

Hi Debbie It sounds like you picked a fun time to arrive. Congrats on the flat.
I was in a funk yesterday, but feel a little better today. I just ordered season passes to Six Flags (we call it Great Adventure in NJ) for AJ and me. MY first retirement purchase.

Hi all, Thanks for starting us, Debbie. I am relaxing for a bit. Your pictures are great! I'm happy for you that you got to body pump. I know you really enjoy it. I am having to remember to take what I need from the WW meeting and leave the rest. Remember 14 point sandwich lady? Oh, my...she tends to take over the meeting. She is a hoot sometimes but other times it is just time for her to please let the meeting go on. She is 80 years young. I hope that I am that spunky at 80. Hi Vicki, congratulations again on retirement. Nice on the season pass ticket purchase. DH and I went to Six Flags over St. Louis many moons ago, before the DSs came along. I remember two things about that trip: 1-the guy who would guess your age or weight guessed my weight way lower than it was, so I got a prize. 2-DH is not much on heights, but I got him to go on the smallest, tamest adult roller coaster with me. He was a good sport but told me that I would NEVER get him to do that again. Today was an 11 mile HM training walk first thing, followed by breakfast with my BWF. I visited with DS#2 before running a few errands and heading home. Laundry is in progress now. DH and I will have a dinner date later. Waving hi to Brenda, Lou and Lori. I hope you are all having an enjoyable holiday weekend with friends and/or family. Take care, Ginia

Happy Easter morning, Vicki - that is a great first retirement purchase! Enjoy your days, take long walks and naps whenever you what. Virginia- I hope your dinner date with DH was nice. Yay on a 11 mile walk! Did you take your DS a Easter basket?
The tour of the old city yesterday was great, we learned so much about Spain and the city. The palace was open to view so we even got to see it, well the entry and two rooms. One room had a ceiling of gold, Ted told to not even think about itπ There are also many X rated gargoyles on the buildings. To is a procession to honor Christ raising to heaven, it is a joyous walk. No Easter egg hunts , I have seen chocolates for the holiday in the finer chocolate shops but it is not common. I am still sore from body pump. Today we will walk the park Turia to see the procession. Debbie

Hi,
Thanks for the Sunday start, Debbie. Yes, DH and I had an enjoyable dinner. I am going to deliver DS' Easter goodies once I hear that he is back home. He's out and about with friends and then is stopping in to see DMIL for a visit. Your pictures were really impressive. That gold ceiling, WHOA! I would not even want something like that but how gorgeous to see it.
Hi Lori, it is great to see you! It's a quiet day at our house. I am going over to DS' place later. I'm going to see if I can catch up with DNephew, also. I can remember getting snow one Easter when the kids were little and I was working evenings and weekends. I was driving home from work as the snow was falling and accumulating in the very early hours of Easter morning. It didn't stay around long, thankfully. Congrats on the winnings! If you came out ahead, luck was definitely on your side.
Today was a WATP first thing. I've been doing things around the house. I may check to see if the FL gang can FaceTime, but I suspect they are spending most of the day with DDIL's family. It's very possible that by the time they get home the DGDs will be done for the day.
Waving hi to Brenda, Lou and Vicki. I hope that you are all having a great holiday weekend.
Take care, Ginia
