Welcome to our 2018 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

THE AMAZING AF APRIL CHALLENGE April 1-30
What are your goals? What are you doing to obtain results? Are you getting the support you need? Are you doing what you need to be doing?
The current challenge is to have an amazing April. What makes and Amazing April? The answers are varied….losing weight, being AF, feeling stronger, knowing you are doing your best are but a few answers. During our Amazing AF April challenge take as many steps as you can to be the amazing you! Post your goal and the steps needed to reach it. Plan ahead.
How are you going to keep your head in the game? How are you reaching the decision each and every day to choose not to drink?
Refocus on why you are a member of this board. What do you hope to achieve? Are you looking to be AF or AIM? Have you done some soul searching?
Are you doing daily battle in your head about drinking? Is drinking helping you become the amazing person you are? How does drinking help support your goals?
Plan, plan, plan! Take it one day/meal/snack at a time and plan meals/menu for the next day. Do not factor A in your menu. However, if you have A, track it.
Track your food, drink your water, move a little more than you currently do.
April showers bring May flowers but April goals bring a wonderful May! Success Vibes!

Good morning all, feeling good about the results of my plan yesterday!!! got my Blue Dot, barely, but that was due to birthday cake and not A. Had my 2 beers, turned down the wine, another beer...these are my friends that we used to go out many Fridays after school, they were teasing me about no longer having Chardonney running through my veins...true. Turned the yummy taco bar into a big salad, counted out some chips and was fine. The cake was another story..4 layer chocolate with salted caramel sauce and butter cream between each layer....yikes. One of the staff members made it. I could have gone in face first and stayed for a long time. But I figure that's a one time deal, so worth the pts and I enjoyed! Today will be all things in moderation and will go to meeting tomorrow. Still moving bark outside today, good arm work out, have some laundry to do, cat hair duty...it's totally shedding season, and then maybe some down time. Hope you all have a good weekend and can enjoy some time to yourselves too. Jan Amy Better eating always feels good. You are just doing online WW right? Any more yard work this weekend or are you done? Murphy Would be good if your cousin could come your way for a bit. Are you at the other clinic today? Any weekend plans? GG Is it GM day? Would Addie be ready for school next year or still 2 more? How has the eating been? Carole Have fun in Iowa. Is it getting any warmer in the midwest Hoping all this wet doesn't turn into a huge mosquito year or my DH will not be happy!!!! Liz How is the stepping going? Foot feeling any better? Is the new baby blanket for another one on the way or a "get ahead"? Ha Hi to all.

THE AMAZING AF APRIL CHALLENGE April 1-30 Weigh in Day: Sunday Number Of Days AF (alcohol free): 13 DAILY STATS Vitamin (Y/N): y 64 oz Water (Y/N): y CHALLENGE START WEIGHT: 182.4 April 8 weigh in: 184 April 15 weigh in: April 22 weigh in: April 29 weigh in: May 1 Final Weigh In: Good morning all! Back at my home clinic today but I kind of hit the ground running this morning and am just now getting around to posting! My cousin did come home and I keep praying that her daughter will step up but I have my fears! She seems much more excited about "being at the beach" rather than taking care of her mom. Amy - LOL at Friday the 13th coming early! Jan - moving the bark should be a good workout! I've got another crock pot of chicken and dumplings going today to take to a family after work today. This is the last meal I'm committed for right now thank heavens! LOL I'm going to work a half day tomorrow and plan to work on cleaning out some bathroom closets tomorrow afternoon. How does stuff accumulate so quickly? I think I need to carry around a big garbage bag with me at all times because there is always something that I need to clear out! Hope everyone has a fabulous Friday! Murphy

Good morning everyone!
So far so good, had another AF/OP day, although the calories were higher than allowed, it was the Muani cottage cheese with pineapple on the bottom that took me over. It was the first time I tried it, and for a single 5oz serving it has 15 grams of protein and 130 calories, pretty good but I think I'll just stick to my Breakstone single serve 2% cottage cheese, only 90 calories.
Amy~Sorry for the wacky day, hopefully yesterday was your Friday the 13th! Yay for the better eating day!
Murphy~Hopefully your cousin's DD does step up. It's too bad she didn't have insurance to go to a rehab. I know that when my Dad had a mild stroke, he still needed rehab for about a month, and after that we had visiting nurses and therapists come to the house. Doesn't she have any recourse other than being home?
Is this a community service thing cooking for a family? They are really lucky to get you!
Jan~Great job sticking to just the two beers, but Wow, did that cake sound so yummy! By the way, did you ever try the Non-Alcoholic St. Pauli Girl Beer? I think I mentioned it a year or so ago. I am going to start getting that for me just to have in the house when the yen arises for a different flavor.
Hope everyone has a lucky day!

Hello friends! When I got to iowa, Lex and I had dinner outside! Then to Rocky Mouton Chocolate! Oh. My. Gosh. They have incredible chocolate caramel sea salt covered apples. Alexis is now on Effexxor for her anxiety. I pray it helps. Then on to the neurologist, she got botox. Ironically he wanted to start her on Effexxor, it's supposed to help with migraines.
Amy, any plans for the weekend?
Liz, you sound so good! That makes me so happy!
Jan, weather sucks here! Ty's game is canceled today. I find out May 1 about the bike ride. I've been riding at the fitness center now. I was hoping to be outside by now. I'm not sure about the mosquitoes --it's been so cold
Murphy, praying for your cousin? I hope she comes to you, I bet she'd enjoy it.
