Welcome to our 2018 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

THE AMAZING AF APRIL CHALLENGE April 1-30
What are your goals? What are you doing to obtain results? Are you getting the support you need? Are you doing what you need to be doing?
The current challenge is to have an amazing April. What makes and Amazing April? The answers are varied….losing weight, being AF, feeling stronger, knowing you are doing your best are but a few answers. During our Amazing AF April challenge take as many steps as you can to be the amazing you! Post your goal and the steps needed to reach it. Plan ahead.
How are you going to keep your head in the game? How are you reaching the decision each and every day to choose not to drink?
Refocus on why you are a member of this board. What do you hope to achieve? Are you looking to be AF or AIM? Have you done some soul searching?
Are you doing daily battle in your head about drinking? Is drinking helping you become the amazing person you are? How does drinking help support your goals?
Plan, plan, plan! Take it one day/meal/snack at a time and plan meals/menu for the next day. Do not factor A in your menu. However, if you have A, track it.
Track your food, drink your water, move a little more than you currently do.
April showers bring May flowers but April goals bring a wonderful May! Success Vibes!

We had fun at the Delray Affair- got a couple of gifts for DD's birthday on Thursday and lots of steps! Saw a couple of turtle nests on the beach- they are getting a late start this year.
I bought a 13 pound frozen turkey before Easter. We are having a full turkey dinner tonight & calling it "Springsgiving". DD is very excited about it.

Murphy- Hope you got lots of paperwork done yesterday. The 7 mile yard sale sounds fun!
Liz- WTG being AF/OP, except for the martini. I saw jewelry made out of Goose bottles at the craft fair. Yay for the progress on the baby blanket!
Jan- WTG for your progress towards your goal and for all the steps! Yay for DH getting his car running.
Carole- Yay for movies with Lex!

Good morning and Happy Sunday! Well the scale is still going in the wrong direction but I'm staying accountable. I know that I'm substituting food for A right now and that changes today! I will do some meal planning for the week when I get home from church today.
Amy - glad the Delray even was fun!
Liz - you were AIM and that is a victory! I admire you for being able to have Goose in the house and not get into it. If A is in my house, it will wind up in my body!
Carole - glad you had fun with your Bunco buddies!
Jan - just a month till moving day! It's not a surprise that the agent complimented you on how great the house looked. The pictures showed it!

Good Morning friends, currently nice out and I need to get in some steps before the rain comes this afternoon. Guess it's better than the blizzard hitting the mid west HOping their crazy weather year will be followed by some crazy mild winter years!! We'll wait and see. Got my blue dot yesterday, got some things ready for moving, DH finally got his one car running so now it is ready for transport! No real big plans today, read the paper, walk, packing up some cookbooks and things I won't need here for now. Baby steps in all parts of my life right now, still seems to get the job done.
