We had a huge downpour for about 30 minutes last night and I think we are done with rain for at least a week. There was more snow in the mountains. I have an errand this morning and a medical appointment this afternoon so the afternoon may be me time for reading etc. My goal is to increase my steps daily. I've been slacking off in the number of daily steps I take. Yesterday I couldn't find my Fitbit and it was taking a ride in the washer and dryer. It came out working well showing I had more than 2500 steps and climbed 6 floors. I am continuing to work on caffeine reduction.

Well, that FitBit was busy in your dryer, Audrey!
Just finished my first cup of coffee. I will be traveling tomorrow for a work related meeting and will return late Saturday. Hopefully the weather will be mild enough for walking and enjoying the "Windy City". I have a couple of good books for the train and my traveling companion is a valued colleague, so it should be enjoyable. DD and family offered to come into the city to spend Saturday morning with us so that would be my "me" time.

Good morning. We're snow/iced in here and no sign so far of our landscaping service (I live in a condo complex) to do the shoveling. They like snow blowers and there's no way you can blow this mess anywhere.
Audrey, very funny about the Fitbit! Glad it survived the dryer.
Me time is my evenings at home and a good book to read.
Goals for the week is a harder one to tackle. I keep saying I want to be more active and then don't do anything about it. I am responding mostly to the prompts on my Fitbit telling me to move every hour and that helps a lot, but still, so much more I could and need to do. I'm thinking I should do an advantages list about activity and come up with response cards about it because nothing else has worked. I keep waiting until spring when I can get outside but I don't think that's a good strategy.

Good Morning jamescat1 Audrey thanks for the laugh this morning - amazing it still works. We lost power twice last night. Not long enough to be an issue, just annoying enough to have to reset all the clocks - twice. So glad that storm is out of here finally. Now for the big clean up - branches absolutely everywhere. Goal this week is to just stay the course and not let a restaurant outing later upset the apple cart. Continue moving. Me-Time will be catching up with my brother in Texas on a long call. Have a good day everyone!

Audrey,I'm glad your Fitbit survived.
There was an article on our local news where they are going to try putting Fitbits calves ears so they can monitor when they are sick. There have been weeks where my Fitbit thought I was dead.
We are going to the gym today and while I finish up my w/o DH will get his hair cut and we are going to HEB and WM to stock up on groceries.
Me time-soaking up another day of beautiful weather this afternoon and computer time.
Goals-Stay OP and getting an additional 250 steps every hr for 12 hrs each day.

Good morning everyone, Goal for today and this week is to stay on track and increase my activity. Me-time today is yoga class this morning, and my regular Tuesday afternoon knitting group.

The Fitbit tried to hang on to life but died some time in the evening. When I took it off the screen was black. I tried to revive it by charging it overnight but that didn't work. I just did an online chat and the employee suggested I put the tracker in a bowl of dry rice for 24 hours and offered a link to restart it tomorrow.

Good morning everyone
The rain has stopped. The rest of the week is predicted sunshine.
Cabinet installer is here this morning to put cabinet into guest bathroom. After he leaves I am going to do errands and clothes shopping for a few hours. Looking forward to being out of the house. I think tomorrow we are going to Knots Berry Farm for a free entrance day. Fun. I don't think we will have any workers here the rest of the week.
Because of the tile issue we are going to have a delay until I see the new dye lot. Hoping the contractor can keep moving forward in other areas. Want him to build the wood niche in the medicine cabinet hole and then the drywall repair person can come and get the walls paint ready in bathroom.

Audrey: Good luck with your fitbit.
Andi: I use Leslie Sansone's "Walk Away the Pounds" exercise DVD's. Can you exercise in your condo or would it bother the neighbors? Also on the WW website under "Living" click "Video" and then the fitness videos. There's some options there. Also cable companies often have fitness videos under "on demand". There are also workouts on You Tube and the "fitnessblender" website has some good strength tratining videos.
Goal is to keep up my exercises and to walk at least 5 minutes in the house. The walking is to be "more active" this week a goal out leader gave us at my WW meeting last night.
Me-time is my computer time.
We did lose power for a while last night but all is well now.

My fitbit survived two bouts in the washing machine...one bout in the dryer and it was finished!!!
Me Time - Shopped and making a pot of white bean/spinach soup. New recipe and it smells so good. I am trying to change my attitude about cooking can you tell? Marie

mariel Let us know what you think of the soup. I too am trying to get "fired up" about cooking because I've become very bored with cooking every day. It was so much more exciting when I was a new bride....seems like a hundred years ago!
