Welcome to our 2018 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

Good morning all! I'm at my other clinic but I remembered the website! Perhaps my brain isn't as far gone as I feared! LOL
I do remember when I stayed sober for 12 years that occasionally I would have a dream about drinking. I had forgotten that. No dreams last night thankfully! I am still so in awe of your time since your last drink. I am so very proud of you! Almost as proud as I am of my 19 days! LOL Seriously, it's been a while since I've had that many days together.
Cindy - So sorry about the pain meds not working. Are they making you sleepy or just not helping much with the pain?
I ordered the Body Groove exercise DVD's yesterday. It looks fun and anything that can get me moving is going to be a big success! Hope everyone has a great day! Murphy

Just checking in, far from perfect yesterday, but making progress. Meeting someone this morning to pick up a "cat" carrier....this will be a new traveling adventure. Then a dump run, going to look at some RV's, just for fun, and then maybe some more packing. Tomorrow is DH birthday so trying to figure out a dinner to make here. Starting to feel strange that he will be driving to Wis. alone, leaving Sunday....I'll be here 18 days alone....reverse of normal! HOpe you are all having a good Thursday and life is being good to you. Check in later, Jan

Hi girls. I am doing well. I am focused, and tracking. I'm not getting my steps in. My back has been acting up. I think it is from carrying and picking up the baby! Tomorrow is Grandma Day with the other two! ๐
Today was my long day. I'm looking forward,to the weekend!

Hi Everyone!
Amy, Happy Birthday to DD! Hope you were able to find a good choice on the menu!
Barb, please let us know how the Body Grove DVD works out. I need to figure out some way to get intentional exercise in daily. The pain meds aren't working pllus caused a weight gain. I see my RA doctor next week so will see what we can do next.
Jan, Hope DH has a wonderful birthday! When was the last time he took an "alone" trip?
Today I woke up not feeling great, very tired, very achy. Decided to cut some roses from my bushes before the wind took them out. Stepped right in to a fire ants nest. Got a few bites. So put the granules on the nest and then on six other nests. They were big nests. My lawn guy comes tomorrow and I will ask him to take care of other nests. I probably should ask him to start doing other stuff but I still believe I can do the gardens. The rest of the day was spent just "picking" at tasks.
Tomorrow morning blood work, buy a few, very few groceries, and keep to drinking my water and no A.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful evening. Hugs, Cindy
