Welcome to our 2018 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

THE AMAZING AF APRIL CHALLENGE April 1-30
What are your goals? What are you doing to obtain results? Are you getting the support you need? Are you doing what you need to be doing?
The current challenge is to have an amazing April. What makes and Amazing April? The answers are varied….losing weight, being AF, feeling stronger, knowing you are doing your best are but a few answers. During our Amazing AF April challenge take as many steps as you can to be the amazing you! Post your goal and the steps needed to reach it. Plan ahead.
How are you going to keep your head in the game? How are you reaching the decision each and every day to choose not to drink?
Refocus on why you are a member of this board. What do you hope to achieve? Are you looking to be AF or AIM? Have you done some soul searching?
Are you doing daily battle in your head about drinking? Is drinking helping you become the amazing person you are? How does drinking help support your goals?
Plan, plan, plan! Take it one day/meal/snack at a time and plan meals/menu for the next day. Do not factor A in your menu. However, if you have A, track it.
Track your food, drink your water, move a little more than you currently do.
April showers bring May flowers but April goals bring a wonderful May! Success Vibes!

Yay for the weekend!!!
We are planning on working in the backyard, but there is rain in the forecast. We have edging to put in, more planting, then mulch and then we'll be done. We also want to buy a rain barrel.
Of course, I have to do some stuff for work too.
My eating hasn't been good, but it doesn't seem to be affecting the scale, yet. I did get some extra steps this week b/c I had set the goal of 100K for the week, which I made, barely.

Murphy- So sorry to hear about your co-worker.
Liz- Yay for finishing the blanket and being accountable.
Jan- A trip to Oregon sounds great. I like Cindy's idea about hiring someone to pack and unpack the truck. There's no way DH and I could move ourselves again. We swore "never again" after the last time.
Cindy- Yay for your productive day. Sorry about the munchies. I had an ice cream sandwich for lunch yesterday.

DAILY STATS Vitamin (Y/N): y 64 oz Water (Y/N): n

Good morning sisters! I was up bright and early and have been at work 45 minutes. I will be getting some paperwork done and will probably head home before lunch so I'll still have time to get stuff done at home. I did stop by Aldi on the way home yesterday and picked up some fresh produce. I'm determined to do some better meal planning for this coming week. If I don't have something planned, it is just too easy for me to talk myself into take out!
Amy - hope the rain holds off long enough to get some of your yard work done.
Jan - Cindy had a great idea about the movers. It's the loading and unloading that would kill me! I used movers when I moved to the condo and even though I didn't have to set furniture up or unload stuff, it was still exhausting just getting everything unpacked. Sounds like a trip to see your friends would be a great way to "reset"!
Cindy - Is the old medicine the one that insurance won't cover anymore or is the doctor not willing to prescribe it for some reason? My mom always had a hard rule that you didn't put out plants until May 1st. And the way the weather has been going here, we may still have a snow storm before then!!
Liz - what do you have planned for the weekend? Stay in touch ok?
Carole - how are you feeling?
Hope everyone has a great day! Murphy

Good morning!
Even though I haven't tracked my eating, yesterday was a good day with food and A didn't creep in. DD is coming over to wrap my gift for the baby shower tomorrow.
My BFF's daughter (DD's first roommate in the maternity unit) is in the hospital now, we will be meeting little Angelo hopefully this afternoon! We are so excited!
Monday, I go for a follow up x-ray and see the surgeon, hopefully the fracture is healing. It is still sore, but am hoping it is on the mend.
Have a wonderful Saturday, will try to check back later!

Hello friends! I just remembered that I lose my post if I leave in the middle of it.....didn't actually remember, I did it! Tyler had his walk off for cancer game this am. We represented blood cancer. I'm not sure how much they raised but I guess I didn't win a raffle as I didn't get a call! I don't know if you saw on facebook, we now have a pet squirrel! He wouldnt leave the dug out and kept coming right up to people. So, of coure, we brought him home. We've been trying to put him in the woods but he literally runs back to lex or her friend!
Amy, I can't wait to see your walkway!
Jan, 18 days alone sounds like heaven! I should be careful what I wish for.
Cindy, fire ants sound horrible.
Murphy, you're working a lot of saturdays😨
Liz, how is dd and her bf? Have a great night!

Hi girls. I had so much fun with Addi yesterday! Today I went through a few things, but my groin, knee, and leg are really bothering me, so I didn't move too much. I don't have the baby on Monday, so hopefully, it will settle down. Dh and I have been talking a lot about A. He also got some test results that he didn't like, so I'm pretty sure he will be cutting down too. God works in mysterious ways!!
Amy: Hope you got the yard finished!
Murphy: I think it would be both hard and easy cooking for one. I still haven't gotten into the meal planning mode.
Jan: Hopefully your time alone will go quickly! I'm sure you will be able to keep busy and on track!!
Liz: I don't think I told you that your enthusiasm coming back to the boards with no A was really inspiring. At that time I was wallowing and not on track at all. Reading your posts helped!
Carole: A pet squirrel?? What do you keep it in?
Cindy: Fire ants!! Sounds terrible!! Hope your oh had a good day today!
