Welcome to our 2018 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

THE AMAZING AF APRIL CHALLENGE April 1-30
What are your goals? What are you doing to obtain results? Are you getting the support you need? Are you doing what you need to be doing?
The current challenge is to have an amazing April. What makes and Amazing April? The answers are varied….losing weight, being AF, feeling stronger, knowing you are doing your best are but a few answers. During our Amazing AF April challenge take as many steps as you can to be the amazing you! Post your goal and the steps needed to reach it. Plan ahead.
How are you going to keep your head in the game? How are you reaching the decision each and every day to choose not to drink?
Refocus on why you are a member of this board. What do you hope to achieve? Are you looking to be AF or AIM? Have you done some soul searching?
Are you doing daily battle in your head about drinking? Is drinking helping you become the amazing person you are? How does drinking help support your goals?
Plan, plan, plan! Take it one day/meal/snack at a time and plan meals/menu for the next day. Do not factor A in your menu. However, if you have A, track it.
Track your food, drink your water, move a little more than you currently do.
April showers bring May flowers but April goals bring a wonderful May! Success Vibes!

Good morning all! Still raining like crazy here and it's supposed to continue till tomorrow. This would have been a lovely day to stay at home in my pajamas but I'm still glad I have a job to go to!
Amy - yay for getting your workout done after work. I kind of had a sinus headache when I got home yesterday so I didn't dance. Will try to do that today.
Cindy - I'm in a suburb of Knoxville. My mailing address in Knoxville. Sorry about DS but I'm so proud that he recognized that he needed to get out of that relationship!
Jan - so sorry about not being able to find a good moving company! I wouldn't mind driving my stuff to a new location but it's the loading and unloading that would kill me!
GG - love that you and DH enjoyed your sparkling water on the deck! I'm not going to CR right now but I keep up with my friends who are still in it. I'm so very happy to have 24 days AF and will do whatever I need to do to keep that up!

Good morning all, Off to meet my friend for our walk and weekly lunch date Going to a new park and then a cafe I saw on Diners, Drive ins and Dives....see what I can find that is point friendly. Got my dot and steps yesterday, didn't do much else. I will check in later. Jan Cindy You are not giving much hope of finding a mover Glad DH cut the ties, hope it all turns out. Amy Good eating day and a workout!!! Hooray!! Murphy Hope your head feels better, it's the load ing I don't like too, but maybe we can find some strong High School kids to help. Still debating. Someone coming Thursday to give me an actual estimate. GG Yay for sparkling water, makes you both feel better!!! Hope the scale was friendly today! Off and running....

Hello friebds! Feeling better. I was able to bike to work today! I find out in 1 week if I'll be riding through iowa!

Hi all, Just a check in, ha ha there wasn't much that was point friendly at the "dive" which really was a cute place. Of course it was two for one hamburger and fries day so we couldn't pass up a good deal!! At least tonight I'm not eating anything but watermelon and a few crackers. Good news is DH called from Iowa, he is getting close. Could have gone a bit farther but rain was slowing him down. Glad he knows his limits and called it a day early. I'll go to knitting tomorrow, need to make a hair appointment and get a cut and color before the boy's graduation. It is pretty nice to just come and go, eat when I want and go to bed early if I feel like it. Hope you all had a good day.
