Cold weather has become a pain trigger for me too, Virginia. That and walking in dress shoes. I walked to the train in my dress shoes on Monday and can still feel it in my right knee today.
Cecilia picked up more half-price coffee pods for me yesterday, so I'm pretty well set through mid-summer at this point.

Hi, Louis - what a lovely DW you have. We all know your coffee needs. Sorry your knee is giving you fits, could your wear good walking shoes back and forth from home to work and leave the dress shoes at the office? You are doing great weight wise without running. I wish I could get the hang of that. Virginia - I am so glad the PT had his eye checked out and didn't spread it any further. It does make sense to be close to your group. Brenda - your walking totals are impressive. What is your next trip? Vicki - what happening in retirement land?
Thanks for the suggestions on how to save my laundry. We are the seventh floor, great for getting stairs in, so I am not sure about hanging out the window to fasten another line. Maybe I can head to the sea and find a fishing net. I have decided to just take the laundry to the line on the roof. It was so cool trying to be Spanish and have it out the window. Louis , we have looked and the folding clothes racks and I have used them when we were in a flat without a outdoor hanging space. They take up a little space and we are trying to not add anything we can live without. Today I started the day with body pump and the walk there and back. Ted found that there are street markets everyday. They are huge, so we went and found a couple items for the flat. I am still trying to add color. I hope you all have a wonderful day. Debbie

Good morning
Lou, thanks for the start. I use to keep shoes in my drawer at work. I would wear my running shoes since I walked from the train station to work and back after (a total of 4 miles a day).
Debbie, I have no trips planned. Traveling is not much fun for me with my hearing issues and vertigo. Being on the 7th floor surely does help with the steps.
Virginia, sorry about your PT, but that's good you have not been around him while he had it. Hope your hip is better today.
Waving to Vicki and Lori
Getting in the steps, drinking my water, trying with the fruit. Veggies are much better. I love steamables. YUM

Happy Wednesday, Thanks for starting us, Lou. Well, I have found that the PT knows of what he speaks...and you back that up with the cold weather info. Your remark about dress shoes just made me realize that the walking that I did on Saturday in dress shoes just added insult to injury. The shoes I wore to the funeral and most of the day are comfortable for walking, but they are higher heels than I usually wear. I likely aggravated my hip by the walking back and forth from DNiece's current house to her new house. If I were walking on a regular basis for part of my commute, I would wear walking shoes and carry my dress shoes in a bag. It might look dorky, but my body would thank me. Hi Debbie. I did not realize that you were on the seventh floor. Sounds like the rooftop option is best for the laundry not disappearing. The pictures of the flat look very nice and it did seem really neutral in decor. I would also want to add color. Hi Brenda, my hip is still a bit cranky. It is better since PT worked on it. Thankfully my next two HMs should be warmer than my last one and I hope that helps with the hip. I agree, steamables are great. I have some for my work lunch nearly every day. Baby broccoli blend is my #1 favorite and it disappeared around here for a few years. Thankfully it is back again. I am getting my steps in but really need to get my shorter distance walks in during the M - F timeframe. It's a real challenge. Hi Lori, NTSY...stranger! Congrats on the career move. Best wishes with your presentation for your master's. I am confident that you will nail it. Waving hi to Vicki. Today is work, Essentrics at midday. I got off to a bit of a wrong start because I slept right through my alarm. Obviously I needed the sleep! Weather permitting, I plan to walk to DS' place right after work and then back to the office while it is still daylight. That will help me get some brisk steps in for today. I am still working on getting settled in my new office. I unloaded my bookcase after hours yesterday so that it may be moved from the old office to the new. After that I need a work order issued to have my cork board mounted. Then the rest of the organizing, etc should all be on me. Due to the building reno, we won't have the yoga and Essentrics classes for 3 or 4 weeks. I will miss them, but as long as I am able to keep those lunch hours free I can get a walk or WATP in. Take care, Ginia

I am so sorry that I am so focused on myself. Yesterday they found Squirrels nesting in the chimney. They found a Dead one in the pipe going to the hot water heater. I need to get the heating system chimney flue lined I need to get 4 rounds of brick replaced on the chimney new caps and new crown. I am waiting for estimates but I know it will be a costly fix. I have a second contractor scheduled I think I see his truck. BBL

Hi, Vicki - squirrels, rotten little tree rats. I hope this is the last house chore for a long while and you get back to happy retirement times. Virginia - I am sure your office will be prefect very soon. How could they stop your favorite classes. I know you will continue to be super active. Brenda - steamables are great. Sorry travel is hard on you now, I would love showing you round. Lori- that is so exciting! You will have a new job and your masters. Congratulations . I am so proud of you.
Enjoy the day, Debvie
