Good Morning ~ not sure what the weather is going to do here today. I’ve heard several versions.
SANDY are you in for another round of storms or was that it?
CELESTE that was my experience with premade Alfredo sauce….it was bland. Maybe I’m just used to a rich restaurant style sauce, and I even think the Knorr’s mix tastes better than what I’ve tried in a jar. And it’s good mixed with marinara for a pink sauce.
CONNIE you must have needed that sleep! And you are heading in the right direction, so that’s a victory.
Going to be quiet here for me today – oh I have plenty to do, but several people are out (including higher ups) and my partner in crime is at a meeting all day with my supervisor, so it will be a quiet.
I need to decide on homeowner’s insurance coverage today as well and get that ball rolling on that.
Enjoy the day - BBL

Quick wave....headed out soon for a tour of the area. These people have a beautiful condo right on the lake....gorgeous view. Guys did a little fishing yesterday...more planned over the next few days. Fish fry tonight.
We stayed with this couple in FL. Since they got home they have both been following low carb...good results. Think that may be the route I go starting next week.

CONNIE I'm pretty sure I've lost 1,000 lbs. The same 10 over and over 100 times.
SANDY I was hoping you'd get more than just 1/2 inch. It's POURING here at the moment. Distant thunder but I believe it's moving our way according to the non stop weather on NBC. I'm supposed to leave in an hour for lunch w/ the gals. I don't love driving in pouring rain but I don't want to drive during a severe thunder storm.
SUZE besides adding sriracha or cholula, it IS good w/ some sauteed jalapenos. But I also added my own grated parm and that was a huge help.
ANGIE do you know what lake you're on? There are so many in MO.
OK the storm is JUST getting going here. It's pounding my windows that face west. I unplugged my laptop from the charger just in case of another lightning strike. OH here comes the wind again. mmmmm
And I had a new one as far as telemarketers. I answered it, there was a second or 2 of music and then some babe started talking to me in Chinese. It was a recording so not sure why NOMOROBO didn't pick that up. THey're very good at it normally.
I best get ready for lunch but right now it's definitely up in the air based on this weather.

Lunch at the student center...one plate, grilled chicken breast, pasta primavera and a good size pile of zucchini. YAY me. My head was telling me that I didn't have enough, but it really WAS enough and I was satisfied, but I had to think about that. It just reminded me of how often overeating is really mindless eating. And the fact that when I saw pasta on the menu, I immediately knew I wanted some and by having it and not depriving myself I really enjoyed a regular portion size.

Well the storm was more or less a non event. It passed w/in 20 min and only maybe 5 to 10 of them were rough weather. But we got a decent soaking.
I went to Mash'd (moonshine restaurant) for lunch. I had an "Avocado Bomb" salad with salmon. Probably close to a whole avocado but it was delish. Lots of laughter.
Funny my stomach was hungry (the salad was Meal 1), but my gut was really iffy. I need to find a happy medium. It seems I'm either PRAYING to be able to use the bathroom or RUNNING to use it. Ahhhh the joys of IBS and OLD AGE!!! LOL

Dang it JT on 92.We haven't gotten that hot yet.I hope it's cooler at work today.
Feel better Suze. What is it with you and your toe?I think that would be worse than my knees.
Celeste I'm sorry you are missing Petey. You would only buy him a milkbone doggy dish?Scooter licks the Frosty Paws too.I usually leave it out until it's the consistency of soft serve but they are frozen solid and there was one little lump left in it so she had to eat that part and there's no part of Scooter that can be described as delicate.I have started calling her Moto Scooter since she runs so fast.I guess it's not hot enough yet b/c she still prefers her PB dental treat. That dog loves her PB.I just get to lick off the knife after putting it on her Ritz crackers.
It's a good thing I'm not doing No S b/c they had some tiny samples of cupcakes(maybe a bite)at HEB this morning and I ate it.Yum.I would haven't eaten the whole thing b/c it was too sweet but it was good.
Connie Congrats on your 2 lb loss.I seem to be going the other direction in tenths of a lb but then the BBQ brisket we had for lunch yesterday was so fatty and salty I'm not surprised.I'm not weighing again until Sunday which is my regular WI day.Are you busier on the week you are off than when you work?It sounds like it to me.Happy Birthday to Joe turning 65 on Monday.
We didn't have any rain last night or today so far but the Austin meteorologist is predicting a 100% guarantee of rain for some people at times tomorrow. The idiot never says 100% chance. It's always 100% guarantee and the last time I think we got 2 drops of rain.
Celeste Your lunch sounds good.I emptied out enough for both of us after breakfast.Something didn't agree with me and instead of IBS-C here came IBS-D but just one time.My tummy hasn't bothered me since.I hope your tummy feels better.
The pain from the injections are pretty much gone but I won't know for at least 2-3 weeks maybe longer if they worked.I can walk according to the doctor the first 48 hrs as long as I don't get too far from home and my body doesn't know how far from home is too far so I just walked inside HEB while we were grocery shopping.I can ride the recumbent bike as long as I don't use any resistance. So I'm doing 10 min at a time plus I will try to get 250 steps in all my hrs between 1-8.Speaking of which it's time for hour 2.

BECKy the doggie dish was a cup of vanilla frozen custard at the drive thru and if you said it was for your dog they'd stick a little milk bone in the top of it. Petey could take or leave the milkbone but he liked licking the custard. And yeah I'm TIRED of the IBS-C where I take benefiber or miralax or both for days and THEN I have the opposite problem. I was enjoying my avocado bomb salad and had to go running into the bathroom at the restaurant.
I've got an "ITALIAN POT ROAST" in the crock pot. It was in the back of the mystery paperback where the amateur sleuth is a chef on a small cable cooking show. They always have recipes in the back but usually they're too pointy so I don't bother but since I'm not counting points I'm going for it.
I got a grass fed/grass finished beef roast from the local farm. It's got Italian spices, carrots, celery, potatoes (no onions which is odd for Italian). Then I roasted a WHOLE BULB of garlic, cut off the top and squeezed the softened garlic into 2 cans of Campbell's tomato soup. Oregano, Parsley and basil.
The recipe says there's usually a good amount of liquid left over w/ some veggies so then you have vegetable soup b/c it's just beef juice, spices, veggies, water and Campbells soup.
I think I'll walk around my cul de sac. it's only 500 steps but I don't want to be too far from my "powder room".

BECKY I know, I know. I knew that the smaller wart on the middle toe had not gone away completely, but at least it's smaller. I need to treat it myself at home as well and I have not done so since October. I was on overload with foot issues that had to take a back seat. I'm glad, though, that the large wart under the nail on my big toe has gone away - at least for now. Glad the pain of the injections has subsided.
We've had rain, but not anything significant. It's gotten darker and now there is some thunder, but I don't think it will amount to much.

We are at Lake if the Ozarks....just beautiful! Covered lots of territory today....very hilly, winding roads. Went to a state park....quite a hike...back to a natural spring that is pouring 58 million gallons daily into the lake! Then up 316 steps on a walkway to the top of a ridge....stunning view.
We all fished a bit this afternoon...I caught 2 nice ones!
Rained off & on this morning...clearing off now. Tomorrow we boat.

Celeste I would have liked that doggy dish at your drive thru. LOL. I understand your feelings about the IBS-C vs IBS-D although I have the IBS-C way more than the other.Something at breakfast must have upset my tummy b/c I've been fine since this morning.Your Italian pot roast sounds good.
Suze Celeste and I need to get together before we grant your delayed trip.LMAO. It might be a better idea delaying your trip with the tornadoes in OK.
I'm definitely not pain free yet but after my shower I was able to walk over the ledge of it without my right knee hurting for the first time in months. My leg still hurts a little lower probably from only riding the recumbent bike but I think I may be on the mend soon. One more day of reduced exercise then when the weather co-operates I'm on that road walking.

Steps, stairs, water, NoS ✔✔✔✔
I dug into some "scribing" for our student program audit software. First time I've sat down by myself and worked it out and feel good about my progress. I've sat with someone to learn (like 3 hours total "training") and scribed some, but not on my own... and this really helped me learn. Anxious to get back at it tomorrow.
Shower then bed. Clean sheets. Ahhh
CELESTE will you remind me how you wash down pillows? This may be syntheyic down not sure, but they say dry clean only and I seem to remember you've washed down.

SUZE: AHHHH THE 11th!! Oklahoma on the 11th..... STAMP! Here's your visa. Oh gosh LAKE of the OZARKS is so pretty. And look at you ANGIE all hiking and fishing like Bear Grylls. BECKY that's very hopeful that you're already starting to see a little progress. To wash down pillows you need to have 2 so that you balance out your washing machine. THen do everything on DELICATE or your setting w/ the least agitation. I always do LARGE load w/ my normal detergent. Dry: Fluff w/ air only no heat. It really won't be all the way dry so then you have to let it air dry after an hour or so in the dryer. Preferably outside. I usually lay it on something and turn it over regularly. The thing is if it's real down it's going to smell like you're roasting a duck. It's completely dry when the duck smell is gone. And then it's so NICE and FLUFFY! The outcome on the pot roast was "meh". First of all it needed LOTS of salt (it called for none). ANd IMHO every potroast should have onions in it and this didn't call for any. I have enough for another meal and it wasn't so bad that I'd throw it away but it wasn't all that great. I really thought the 2 cans of tomato soup were going to be what brought it over the top. NOPE. I'm CHOOSING not to walk today. it's no longer walking but my goal is 7500 5 days/week so I have a pass. Probably take the 2nd one on May 5 b/c I'm going to a Cinco de Mayo party at a neighbor's. Which means I HAVE to get my walk in on Friday and Sunday. I can do it. I WILL DO IT. SO my goals: No Snacks: check No sugar: got it No seconds: aced it. I haven't even been eating after midnite though I did wake at 2 w/ reflux. Just drank a LOT of water then peed a lot the rest of the night. 7,500 steps: 3 out of 4 days so far. I'm getting ready for bed and read a while. My 2nd meal is going to be some HN97% hot dogs (2) b/c I don't want to toss them. And a halo and a small salad w/ blue cheese. G'nite all.

Hey all. Just a quick pass through again tonight. Well we had a/c at work today, so much more comfortable. Today it made it to 94 and very humid. Had heavy rain come through early tonight. Supposed to be @ 90 again tomorrow and 50 on Saturday. Such crazy weather.
Went for a mani/pedi after work. Have my bone density test tomorrow afternoon after work.
Happy Friday to all.
