Debbie, hope your leg feels better soon. Sorry you could not find a ww where you are at.
Virginia, hope you had a good time with DNephew. Enjoy your 8 miles this weekend ;-)
Lori, it will be good to see you more often now that classes are done.
Waving to Lou and Vicki
Yesterday was a 4 mile walk with my friend on the towpath, yard work, and a sore back...lol At least the yard work is getting me moving, but a big difference with age after not doing it for about 4 years. I had a lawn service that kept getting worse so decided to go back to doing it myself. Not sure if it was a total wise decision.
Today will be more yard work and maybe a trot on the towpath.

Hi, Brenda - thanks for the start. Sorry your back hurts from yard work. The group of ladies I met last Wednesday and I all agreed on happy we were to no longer have a house and yard work. I hope you enjoyed the walk.
We took the train train to Xativa yesterday, it is the cutest town and has a castle. Today we went to have street market, a short bike ride, lunch out, Irish pub and the bought two pieces of cake. My leg felt better this morning but riding a bike made it start hurting a little. I just strained a muscle a little. Virginia, I do love bio freeze but didn't bring any and it didn't hurt enough to search for it. Thanks for the suggestions to help fix it. Tomorrow I get to hike! Debbie

Happy weekend...for that I am,so very thankful!
Brenda...how is the garden? Just put in my seeds...better late than never
Debbie ...Happy birthday 🎂 to you! You can celebrate on your adventure ...!
Vicky...are you getting used to retirement? Aj will have the summer off,soon...hey
Lou...where are you shopping this weekend..? Does Celia have a walk in closet?
Virginia... How was the walk? Are there many in your walking group? How are the little people?
I thought long and hard about the 3 things I love about myself...here it goes..
1. I love being the mother of Abigail and Phillip ...even though they are young adults now..it is really cool to watch the grow and succeed as human beings!
2. I love that I get to protect and be the voice for the elders in the nursing home...my best friend calls me an magnet for the elders...no matter where I am..they find me and I help them out! Just this morning there was a older gal at the hairdressers stuck in the front seat of her car..I lended her a hand and helped her get out..she was late for her wash and set..my pleasure I said to her!
3. I am a strong, determined, and independent woman! What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger ..is my mantra! Who else do you know takes 19 years to get a master's degree...I started college when abbey was 4...😎
I will check back later!

Happy Saturday, Thanks for starting us, Brenda. You really got the activity in yesterday, and it looks like more for today. DH is in charge of the yard work and he likes it that way. I make occasional landscaping requests and pick up debris but that's about the extent of my assistance. Happy Birthday, Debbie! You've had a nice day. I am sure that you are beyond ready for tomorrow's hike. I hope that your sore leg cooperates and that you have a great time. Maybe you can find BioFreeze or BlueEmu or an equivalent. The Xatvia excursion from yesterday sounds nice. Lori! NTSY. I'm going to do my walk tomorrow morning from home, as there was a pretty good chance of rain this morning. There are seven of us in my walking group. Two are on their way to MI now to do an HM tomorrow. The littles are well, and I plan to FaceTime with them tomorrow. Congrats to you again on earning your Master's. Your list of three is excellent. LOL, it does seem that the elders gravitate to you. They can sense your caring heart, I suspect. Waving hi to Lou and Vicki, hope you are both having an enjoyable weekend. Yesterday after work, I picked DNephew up @ xBIL's house after work. We went to DSis' place to drop off his stuff and walk the dogs, then we did an early birthday celebration with dinner and he picked out his birthday gift. It was an enjoyable evening. He really had a great time selecting his gift. I did 5 mi WATP with resistance band w/o first thing and have been working on chores around the house. I'm going to get ready to run a few errands in a bit and will pop in to see DS#2 for a bit. DH and I will go to dinner this evening. Take care, Ginia

Hi, folks.
I've used a sample of Bio Freeze before. It worked pretty well after a race. Knee felt fine the next day, so I never sought it out.
I like your list, Lori.
Where didn't I shop is probably the better question. Target, Gordon's Food Service, Aldi, Hobby Lobby, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walgreens and Whole Foods were all in the mix. We left the house at 930 and got back at 530 just in time for the Derby.
What did DN get, Virginia? Uncles of 15 y/o kids want to know...

Good morning and Happy Sunday
Debbie, hope the hike was fun and your leg did well.
Virginia, you are such a wonderful Aunt. I think the yard work will get me in shape.
Lori, love your list. You are a good human to be so kind to the elderly. Again, congratulations on your Masters Degree!!
Vicki, hope you are doing well.
Today is my WW meeting and not sure what else.

Good morning.
I'm sitting here at the kitchen table with my pants around my ankles eating breakfast while the Blue Emu works its magic on my knees. So, just another Sunday.

Hi, Lori - you are a wonderful lady , when I enter a retirement home I want to go to yours. Virginia - you gave DNephew such a special day. You are a very special aunt. Brenda - the hike was great. I hope the WW meeting was a good one. Louis - that was quite a mental picture. Did you find a lot of good stuff out shopping?
The hike today was fun, lots of people, many spoke English and one lady was from Maryland. Debbie

Hello,
Thanks for the Sunday start, Brenda. I had a great time with DNephew, it's hard to believe he is already 15! I hope that the yard work is a win-win for you. It will be done the way you want it and you'll get the activity, too. Was the WW meeting a good one?
Hi, Lou. Um, what a mental picture of you this morning...but anyway...how is the BlueEmu working so far? Re: the birthday gifts, DNephew has just taken up golf and he loves to go fishing. So he chose a new rod & reel, some fish attractor stuff (IDK, but I'm sure I don't want to smell it), a golf glove and a putting practice green with target and ball return. He had his practice green set up and was using it before I left to head home. He also looked around at headphones, phone cases, Chromecasts, bicycle accessories, DVDs and video games. Hope that helps with gift ideas for your DNephew.
Hi Debbie. Wow, you got to speak English with a fellow American (and others) today! Woot, woot! I am glad that the hike was fun. Thank you, I enjoy the time I get to hang out with DNephew. He's a good kid, and I know he's still dealing with his parents' divorce. l hope that we can remain close as he grows older.
Today was an 8 mile walk first thing. It was foggy when I first got up so I waited a bit for things to clear. It felt difficult to get the miles in today, probably because this was the first warm and humid walk I have had this year. I was glad that I got it done. I ran errands and stopped by to see DS#2 for a bit, then came back home to do laundry and chores. The last load of laundry is in the dryer and it is nearly bedtime.
Waving hi to Vicki and Lori. I hope that you both had a good weekend.
Good night, Ginia
