Welcome to our 2018 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

THE AMAZING AF MAY CHALLENGE May 1-31
What are your goals? What are you doing to obtain results? Are you getting the support you need? Are you doing what you need to be doing?
Our current challenge is to have an Amazing AF May. What makes an Amazing May? The answers are varied….losing weight, being AF, feeling stronger, knowing you are doing your best are but a few answers. During our Amazing AF May challenge take as many steps as you can to be the Amazing You! Plan ahead. Post your stats daily, it is an essential component to success. Post your goal and the steps needed to reach it. One misstep does not mean throw away the day, the night, the week. We are works in progress.
How are you going to keep your head in the game? How are you reaching the decision each and every day to choose not to drink?
Refocus on why you are a member of this board. What do you hope to achieve? Are you looking to be AF or AIM? Have you done some soul searching?
Are you doing daily battle in your head about drinking? Is drinking helping you become the amazing person you are? How does drinking help support your goals? If you slip, post to the board and find understanding. If you slip and report being AF, you are not hurting us, you are hurting yourself. Slips happen, pick yourself up and start again. There is no judgement, we are very supportive of each other.
Plan, plan, plan! Take it one day/meal/snack at a time and plan meals/menu for the next day. Do not plan A into your menu. However, if you have A, track it. As with all our challenges, everyone is welcomed. For some, making the commitment for May is the way to go. For others, one day at a time is the way to go. No one will be cut from the challenge. Feel free to post to the board even if you choose not to commit to the challenge. If you are looking to control the A in your life, this board may be for you.
Track your food, drink your water, move a little more than you currently do.
YOU ARE AMAZING ! BELIEVE IT AND LET"S HAVE AN AMAZING AF MAY!

We had good weather for traveling and the trip was uneventful, other than the inevitable construction and rush hour related traffic. We got to my mom's around 6pm. She had nothing planned for dinner, so we got pizza.
I did get a new Fitbit before we left, but only got 4000 steps yesterday. I did get some work done in the car, tedious stuff that will be good to have off my plate.

Weigh in Day: Saturday Weekly AP Goal: 80 Number Of Days AF (alcohol free):7 Not AF: 1 DAILY STATS AF: N Food points allowed/consumed: 23/31 Weekly allowance points used: 3 Blue Dot Y/N: N Activity Points Earned: 15 5 Fruit/Veggies(Y/N): Y Vitamin (Y/N): N 64 oz Water (Y/N): Y 2 Dairy (Y/N): Y 2 Healthy Oils (Y/N): Y GOod Morning...Off track a bit yesterday but back on today. Did a lot around the house, mowing, vacuuming, pruning, packed 3 boxes. I got my sweater all blocked out so I can learn how to piece it together today!! Met my friend for dinner at the mall and some walking to get my 11,000 steps! One good thing. Drove to Sacramento and got DH. We got home @ 10:30 or so and he wanted to talk and unwind, figure out what's next....decompress, so I sat and had Coors Light. AIM and there aren't anymore in the house so I will move on. I like what I"m seeing on the scale and don't want to derail myself now!! At the mall we actually tried on bathing suits at the Sears that's closing...like their Lands End suits. Didn't buy one but didn't run from the dressing room screaming I say that's a NSV! Hope you all have a great day. Love the TOTD, take the time to Be Kind and Count your Blessings. Jan Murphy Glad to see you here, good to take some time off. I used my computer while in Oregon but no TV or News....felt good. GG Yay for that scale moving. Stay cool...ha ha, we go from too cold to too hot, how did the pioneers do it?? Cindy So much for the mystery woman. Now DH has to come to grips with the fact that we're actually moving He sent DS a "sad" e mail about no longer owning our house. He really is the one that wanted to get out of all the maintenance and hot weather, its Tahoe, Yosemite and the mountains he really will miss. I told him, we can travel!! There may still be a "camper" in our future. Has it dried out at all for a little yard work? Amy Glad you had good weather for the drive. DH said spring had finally arrived in the midwest. Did you bring any knitting to do in the car:) or just get stuck with work? Have a great visit, walk the farm roads and have a good mother's day. Hi to all.

Hi All!
Things are finally calming down, I thought that they were going to total my poor car with only 42K miles, but thank the lord, they are going to repair it. I really wasn't financially set to buy a new car now.
The ankle is getting better but can only still wear my vionic sandals, and seeing a chiropractor for my shoulders and back due to the car accident.
Just wanted to say hi, I need to read posts so that I can do personals soon.

Hi Everyone!
Fire ants struck again....totally did not see the mound until I had pulled some weeds...left hand was covered with those nasty things. Decided to spend the day at home doing outside stuff....killed wasp nests, trimmed bushes, took apart some stuff so that all would fit into trash bags...used two ratchets, a channel lock and a wrench! Oh and the sledge hammer. My neighbor's Mom came over to find out what I was doing. We had a good time talking. Her daughter is my neighbor....she kicked out her husband because of his drinking. The Mom retired so that she could help take care of the kids. Like my little corner of the world.
Oh and in case you didn't hear my cheers!!!! Celtics won tonight!! On to play the Cavaliers...not optimistic....Philly did lots of damage to players and lots are out with injuries as of now!
Going to watch the commentary....I admit to aching from activities today...better show up in a loss on the scale!!
Chat tomorrow, Hugs to all! Cindy
