Welcome to our 2018 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

THE AMAZING AF MAY CHALLENGE May 1-31
What are your goals? What are you doing to obtain results? Are you getting the support you need? Are you doing what you need to be doing?
Our current challenge is to have an Amazing AF May. What makes an Amazing May? The answers are varied….losing weight, being AF, feeling stronger, knowing you are doing your best are but a few answers. During our Amazing AF May challenge take as many steps as you can to be the Amazing You! Plan ahead. Post your stats daily, it is an essential component to success. Post your goal and the steps needed to reach it. One misstep does not mean throw away the day, the night, the week. We are works in progress.
How are you going to keep your head in the game? How are you reaching the decision each and every day to choose not to drink?
Refocus on why you are a member of this board. What do you hope to achieve? Are you looking to be AF or AIM? Have you done some soul searching?
Are you doing daily battle in your head about drinking? Is drinking helping you become the amazing person you are? How does drinking help support your goals? If you slip, post to the board and find understanding. If you slip and report being AF, you are not hurting us, you are hurting yourself. Slips happen, pick yourself up and start again. There is no judgement, we are very supportive of each other.
Plan, plan, plan! Take it one day/meal/snack at a time and plan meals/menu for the next day. Do not plan A into your menu. However, if you have A, track it. As with all our challenges, everyone is welcomed. For some, making the commitment for May is the way to go. For others, one day at a time is the way to go. No one will be cut from the challenge. Feel free to post to the board even if you choose not to commit to the challenge. If you are looking to control the A in your life, this board may be for you.
Track your food, drink your water, move a little more than you currently do.
YOU ARE AMAZING ! BELIEVE IT AND LET"S HAVE AN AMAZING AF MAY!

Drove through a few thunderstorms yesterday, but otherwise good. We got to Waco around noon. The Silos were quite busy- there was a line outside the bakery. The retail shop was huge- filled with items you would expect to see as decorative items in one of their houses. I wasn't really tempted to buy anything, but it was fun to look. There were also food trucks and quite a few garden displays. We were tempted by a guided tour of Waco that included going by 7 of the Fixer Upper houses, Clint Harp's shop, Baylor, etc., but didn't really feel like we could spare 2.5 hours for the tour, since we still had about 100 miles to go to get to the boys' house. Maybe next time.
We spent a quiet afternoon and evening catching up. Slept well last night.

I was up .4 this morning, but can't even budge my rings. I think there must have been extra sodium in dinner last night. No worries, I'm doing great!
I'm being coached at my meeting this morning. No worries there either!

Hi all, two blue dot days in a row, on track for a blue dot today.
Did have one glass of wine yesterday, a kiddo ran out of the building again! Teacher's worst nightmare.
We had a terrible storm yesterday.
Going to my WI and then a body combat class tonight. Even though I really don't feel like it!

Ate way too much yesterday....now to get back to "normal". Got my car all checked out and ready for the road trip. Last knitting today, hope to finish my sweater and then the ladies are taking me to lunch......I am planning on salad!!! Need some vegetables...have been missing in action lately. Packing my bag for our trip to the coast, we'll leave tomorrow morning and hope we leave the stressful thoughts behind!! May get some rain today, good for knitting and hanging out in the house cleaning. HOpe you are all having a great day. Will check back later.
Amy Enjoy the boys, the Waco compound sounds fun. Guess you would need a few days to see it all.
GG Hope the meeting went well. Do you have some pretty big groups?
Waving hi...

Hello! Tyler's senior night was tonight, everyone loved the posters! It was gorgeous outside, we won and Tyler had 2 good hits! I rode 31 miles today, I'm exhausted! Getting up at 4 doesn't help! Tomorrow is my ladt day at preschool, then it's summer break! Will be nice to have Thursdays off, I'm so behind on everything.....the house looks like 5 tornadoes have gone through!
