This challenge was created six years ago by a few Weight Watchers members. We are committed to making positive and permanent lifestyle changes. Success isn’t always measured at the scale. Each day, tally the positive actions that you made the day before and then talk about the challenges you are working on. Anyone with a positive commitment to the program can join. If you are the first one to post each day, please copy, paste and get us started and, if you choose, pose the Question of the Day (QOTD) that solicits constructive ideas to following the plan.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ optional ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 30 Day Self-Love Challenge:
DAY 16: Find the gift in the day. It could be seeing a rare bird or a deer on a walk, or having an easy, fun-loving day with your kids.
Afternoon positive peeps! I'm finding the gift in a slow work morning and being confined to the office with our dog (as someone is cleaning the house) so I'm catching up on NCIS and decluttering. I also did a two 1-mile Jessica Smith walks on youtube "walk and talk" sessions. One on motivation and one on keeping on track. Simple walks and good topics and tips. Yes I Did: lose 1.8 on WI today, yay! Two good losses in a row. Must keep this going.
Yes I CAN: Well my steps are already in at 12K (1:00 pm) so I'll shoot for another 5K for the day. Keep to my cleanse foods (I'm waiting for her to get finished so I can heat up my Thai stuffed sweet potato leftovers from last night) Keep on my organizing binge Go outside in the sunshine
Hope everyone has a wonderful day! Nat
Good Afternoon, positive e-pals!
Nat - hooray for good scale visit and for stepping!
Yes I DID: --Fitness class at the Y --oatmeal & fresh strawberries for breakfast --tackle some paperwork (<--anti-procrastination task!). I found the folder with all my ancient college transcripts...one step closer to registering for a summer course.
Yes I CAN: --get outside for a walk --watch my portions...still eating too much stuff overall, 'though healthy, too much of a good thing, LOL!
So, yesterday I did make my "new" recipe for a Hawaiian chicken dish. Basically improvised on a known stir-fry recipe, put in lots of fresh veggies, pineapple and topped with some chopped macadamia nuts, very tasty! Sending all my prayers & good wishes to the folks on the Big Island...one of my pals in chorus was vacationing there and was sightseeing in the volcano park just one day before the first big eruption. Whew!
Be well! Carol
