Welcome to our 2018 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

THE AMAZING AF MAY CHALLENGE May 1-31
What are your goals? What are you doing to obtain results? Are you getting the support you need? Are you doing what you need to be doing?
Our current challenge is to have an Amazing AF May. What makes an Amazing May? The answers are varied….losing weight, being AF, feeling stronger, knowing you are doing your best are but a few answers. During our Amazing AF May challenge take as many steps as you can to be the Amazing You! Plan ahead. Post your stats daily, it is an essential component to success. Post your goal and the steps needed to reach it. One misstep does not mean throw away the day, the night, the week. We are works in progress.
How are you going to keep your head in the game? How are you reaching the decision each and every day to choose not to drink?
Refocus on why you are a member of this board. What do you hope to achieve? Are you looking to be AF or AIM? Have you done some soul searching?
Are you doing daily battle in your head about drinking? Is drinking helping you become the amazing person you are? How does drinking help support your goals? If you slip, post to the board and find understanding. If you slip and report being AF, you are not hurting us, you are hurting yourself. Slips happen, pick yourself up and start again. There is no judgement, we are very supportive of each other.
Plan, plan, plan! Take it one day/meal/snack at a time and plan meals/menu for the next day. Do not plan A into your menu. However, if you have A, track it. As with all our challenges, everyone is welcomed. For some, making the commitment for May is the way to go. For others, one day at a time is the way to go. No one will be cut from the challenge. Feel free to post to the board even if you choose not to commit to the challenge. If you are looking to control the A in your life, this board may be for you.
Track your food, drink your water, move a little more than you currently do.
YOU ARE AMAZING ! BELIEVE IT AND LET"S HAVE AN AMAZING AF MAY!

Yesterday was fun. We went to a local park that has waterfalls (small ones) and hiking trails. Ended up with 15,000 steps, the most I've had this trip. Eating has been bad- we had sausage sandwiches for lunch and BBQ for dinner. Delicious, though. Watched Black Panther last night.

Good morning all, We will get breakfast here, clean up a bit and then hit the road. We'll only have Monday afternoon and Tuesday to get EVERYTHING finished before the movers come on Wednesday...guess there will be no procrastination on those days!! And, I still want to go say good bye to my school family and see my "walking" friend once more...I think that will be Tuesday when school lets out. A quick farewell, probably for the best. Yesterday went to lunch with my knitting friends. I know I will make new friends, harder as an adult, and I think it's harder for DH. I'm always at some craft thing, or I'll meet new WW members etc. Still have no idea what I will wear to graduation, it's outside, so not fancy, but could be cold or foggy. I only have jeans left as long pants and mostly t shirts. May have to make a mall run with my friend while in monterey. Will attempt to make good choices on vacations but may be a sporadic tracker. Not sure when I'll get to a WI or meeting again. Just need to be mindful and not go crazy. Our friends we're staying with are my Oregon friends who eat healthy and don't drink, I will try to follow their "lead". Luckily we can also cook at the house we rented so bringing some healthy choices. Have a great day all, I will check in when I can and hope to lots of fun pictures on Facebook. Can't believe my boy is going to "walk" and be a college graduated on Saturday!!!And with NO DEBT.....so far Hugs to all. Amy Sounds like a great day. Was all excited to be ahead of you on the Fitbit steps....lasted for one day!! Haha. Eat what you enjoy and just know all those healthy choices and point counting will be waiting for you back at home! Carole Glad Ty had a good Senior night. Do they do anything for the parents? At soccer we had to go out on the field and the boys gave the moms flowers. Seems a long time ago. Getting in shape for the bike ride? How long is each day in Iowa? HP Sorry about your student, everyone's got spring fever I guess and wants out! Hope your school year is winding down. GG Sodium puff better today??? I think it helped me yesterday to get a lot more veggies and water. Hi to all.

Hello! Last day of preschool! I'll miss a couple of the kids but some of them I'm glad they're moving on! Today was Ty's ladt day of high school, just crazy! Tomorrow is prom. We're having his graduation party on the 26th--I really can't wait until it's over! So much to do and clean!
Amy, when are you heading back to F L? I have to look up what Waco is.
Jan, glad everything is working out with ds's stuff. What a pain but thank God he's safe.
Hp, keep on keeping on!
