Robin - yes, I do stretches for the sciatic that are lfrom aying, sitting and standing positions. My real problem is piriformis syndrome. Instead of my sciatic nerve passing alongside the piriformis muscle, it runs through it. So anything that works the piriformis muscle, is likely to irritate the sciatic nerve. We did lots of hills today. So all of the muscles in that area were getting a good workout, which can annoy and inflame my sciatic. The stretching and anti-inflammatory drugs seem to help the most. Also, the more I work those muscles, the less it bothers me. So.....all the more reason to get my butt (literally and figuratively) back in shape, right? Lol.
