Welcome to our 2018 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

THE AMAZING AF MAY CHALLENGE May 1-31
What are your goals? What are you doing to obtain results? Are you getting the support you need? Are you doing what you need to be doing?
Our current challenge is to have an Amazing AF May. What makes an Amazing May? The answers are varied….losing weight, being AF, feeling stronger, knowing you are doing your best are but a few answers. During our Amazing AF May challenge take as many steps as you can to be the Amazing You! Plan ahead. Post your stats daily, it is an essential component to success. Post your goal and the steps needed to reach it. One misstep does not mean throw away the day, the night, the week. We are works in progress.
How are you going to keep your head in the game? How are you reaching the decision each and every day to choose not to drink?
Refocus on why you are a member of this board. What do you hope to achieve? Are you looking to be AF or AIM? Have you done some soul searching?
Are you doing daily battle in your head about drinking? Is drinking helping you become the amazing person you are? How does drinking help support your goals? If you slip, post to the board and find understanding. If you slip and report being AF, you are not hurting us, you are hurting yourself. Slips happen, pick yourself up and start again. There is no judgement, we are very supportive of each other.
Plan, plan, plan! Take it one day/meal/snack at a time and plan meals/menu for the next day. Do not plan A into your menu. However, if you have A, track it. As with all our challenges, everyone is welcomed. For some, making the commitment for May is the way to go. For others, one day at a time is the way to go. No one will be cut from the challenge. Feel free to post to the board even if you choose not to commit to the challenge. If you are looking to control the A in your life, this board may be for you.
Track your food, drink your water, move a little more than you currently do.

Amy - I'm getting sick of the calorie thing as well as waking up and not being rich and pretty!!! LOL What do you have planned for the weekend?
Carole - I would imagine that Angel being unhappy would be more to deal with than Callie being unhappy! LOL Glad you had a good bike ride and are getting the pool going for the summer.
Jan - still thinking of you and praying for safe travels. Will DH get to the house before you? Looks like your kitty is making it a pleasant trip for you!

Wow, it's Friday already! Up with Addi today. Only 1 more Friday and I am off for the summer! I will get to sleep in 4 days a week!
Nothing planned for the weekend. But that's the way I like it!
Carole: I would love to float in the pool! Dsil is opening up theirs this weekend.

Hi friends! Taking a break from cleaning, ugh! It's amazing how nice our home could look.....! I used all different kind of flowers for our deck, I think it looks nice. It's supposed to be hot tomorrow, I hope it doesn't rain.

Just a check in. Made it to Nebraska, kitty is traveling way better than I thought. DH got to the house today, good thing as his cars are being delivered tomorrow!! All the pieces have fallen into place so well, guided by a force outside us apparently I will be there Sunday afternoon and am looking forward to just sitting around and doing nothing for a day!!! Ha Ha Not sur e he'll let me do that, but it's a good thought. He said he needs to go buy a lawnmower tomorrow, yard looks bad and don't want to have crabby neighbors. Trying to make some good food choices. Can't wait to get back to cooking and planning meals. Hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend. Hugs to all and thanks for your good thoughts.
