Good Morning,
Lol on your day description for DH...hee, hee!
HUGE Crafting Post:
I think trying to do the yellow color on that design...was the hardest and I don't really think it looks good. Luckily I like 5 of the other color combo photoshop results and will stick to those.
I orderered show kits from Redimat.com. One pack of 25 12"x12" square and on pack of 25 11"x14". I was having trouble deciding sizes, except the square cause that's the only square size offered. The pieces of original artwork I did last year for X-mas, the tree, light wreath, chickadee and owl paper mosaics were all done on 12"x12" square craft board to begin with so printing those in smaller size, but 7.5 x 7.5, to fit inside a 12"x12" mat is easy as there is no distorting of in doing so. For the 11x14 mats...I have my large Elk poster I'd done two years ago that will look good in that I think, and possibly a couple other pieces. I'm not super concerned with using up this sized mat, it's still cheaper than buying single at craft store, they come with backer board, mat and clear show sleeve.
I'm going to go to printer today to try to enlarge my house and twig tree X-mas card design that I'd lost the orginals for, as I'd like to rework these for a couple different uses. One is my realtor friend up where we bought our cabin said she'd like the house to use to put in gift baskets to people she sells homes to if I can remove the wreath and put "Welcome Home" on the sign instead of "Roslyn Riders" and the horse it shows now. So I think I will try to do these for her, will be fun to try. The other is I want to transfer the twig tree to these little stand up boards I got 50% off and see if they come out cute. The other thing I can do is transfer that design to a large wood tag the craft store sells for cheap. Pondering that.
I have several sale items that were severely discounted, over 50% off I'd like to play with, rework, they are both different types of frame, but unique, like shape of a boat that can set up or hang, It has an opening for the picture and little oars on either side. The other will lend itself well for a dot paint design on 2/3 of bottom as the opening for the picture is in the upper third so vines can go around that, then with more flowers along the top and I will have "Love Grows" in cursive with vines coming from the beginning and end letters of those words. I think it will be cute.
Well...enough about that! I actually need to get moving if I'm going to accomplish anything today. I have all this stuff, out, two tables set up, ready to get some base coats on things!
DH and I had to force DS to attend his Civil Air Patrol banquet tomorrow night...shhhh....the Major e-mailed to ask why he'd not RSVP'd and said he was getting an award and if there was anyway we could get him there without spilling the beans to try. So we have but he's not super happy with us right now! I hope it's worth it!

Z, I like that color scheme because it makes me think of what it could be or might be. Very unusual choice so it is also interesting from that angle. Exciting! to read about all your ideas for projects. Got another job from work done. This one is a straggler and was more time consuming than I had originally thought. It is so nice not to have 7 or 8 of those jobs piled up in my office now.. I was busy all day but don't seem to have accomplished anything. Now it is coming back to me. I had to write three short bios for those classes I am taking as to what my objectives were, history of the situations etc. Those took some time. Also mended something, actually sewed velcro on which was difficult and took forever. My eight Havahart traps for the squirrel roundup came home with DH so I had to break down the boxes that had the boxes inside that had those traps in them. The person that can come up with a way to get around all that boxing is going to make a fortune. However, until then a good stock market tip would be to investment in cardboard companies LOL
The puppies were trying to rip up the couch due to having dropped a rock they were fighting about down between the cushions. I gave them a plastic gallon jug (one of their favorite things to argue over) to replace that rock. Now Clair is now ricocheting off the couch playing Zoom-Zoom with Sam. I find that cute. The attempt to rip up the couch not so cute.
Hope you are having a great night!!!
