Welcome to our 2018 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

NEW CHALLENGE! Declaration of Independence from Alcohol June 1 - July 4
Freedom from alcohol? Does that make sense to you? Are you held hostage to it, use it to calm yourself, to forget what is going on, to get through the evening or even the day? What once was an enjoyable treat has become a daily necessity? Then it is time to take a stand and declare yourself independent. It isn't easy, if it was there would be no need for the support of this board. But together we stand and together we can fight it.
Think about the freedom from alcohol. It isn't just about the money, but it is about your health and well-being.
How is your Pursuit of Happiness being affected by alcohol?
The focus of this board is to be ALCOHOL FREE. The focus of our new challenge is be alcohol free from June 1 - July 4, one day at a time. Starting June 15 and ending July 4, we are challenging ourselves to make the right choices, and go alcohol free. Can you let yourself be the person you want to be? Can you reach out for help if need be? The rules are simple, no alcohol for the challenge (understanding for a very special occasion is given). Post your stats daily, it is an essential component to success. One misstep does not mean throw away the day, the night, the week. We are works in progress.
This is a challenge about control....you are in control of what goes in your mouth. Give yourself the gift of THINDEPENDENCE and be selfish if that is what is needed to take care of you!
If you slip, post to the board and find some understanding. If you slip and report you are AF, you are not hurting us, you are hurting yourself. Slips happen, pick yourself up and start again. There is no judgement, we are very supportive of each other.
As with all of our challenges, everyone is welcomed. For some making the commitment for the four week challenge is the way to go. For others, one day at a time is the way to go. No one will be cut from the challenge. And feel free to post to the board even if you choose not to commit to the challenge. But you might want to ask yourself why.
June 1 - June 7: What is your PREAMBLE (your intention for the challenge?)
June 8 - June 14: What are your BIll of RIghts as a Weight Watcher? (the right to eat fruit, the right to exercise, the right to feel good about yourself, etc.)
June 15 - June 21: What is your pursuit of Hapiness?
June 22 - June 28: What does Freedom mean to you by working this life plan?
June 29 - July 4: Get ready for your own fireworks to happen by declaring your Truths!
Kick the tyranny of alcohol and a few extra pounds aside as we celebrate THINDEPENDENCE.

The beach was so beautiful yesterday and I found a few shells!
I have to renew my driver's license by the end of August and have to actually go to the office to present proof of identity to get a "star" on my license. I was gathering everything I need (birth certificate, marriage license, proof of address, etc.) and could not find my social security card. I can't recall when the last time I would have needed it. So tomorrow I will be going to the SS office to apply for a replacement. The unfortunate thing is I have an appointment next week at the license branch. I'm pretty sure I won't actually get the SS card for a couple of weeks b/c I think they mail it to you. I'll see what happens tomorrow, then reschedule the appointment.

Hi all, just checking in. Got back from our cabin trip a bit ago and now looking to do a few more chores. Did sleep there better last night, but having more water problems, need some kind of filter for the new well, has a sulfer icky color to the water now. Maybe it just hasn't run through enough yet this year as we were the first visitors. Continued our streak of eating out, dinner, breakfast today but making better choices. Hopefully start cooking here as all the pans, staples etc get unpacked. We went to our town's Farmer's Market yesterday, was impressed!! About 5 blocks of Main Street blocked off, live music, arts and crafts, not too much produce yet but we bought some asparagus and some garden plants for my sis. Looking forward to going each week when we're around. Contractors start arriving tomorrow to bid on a fence, garage, kitchen....etc so need to get some things cleaned up. Glad you all had a good weekend and happy new week. Amy Glad you found some shells! Seems like when DS had to get his SS card they did say he could print it out until he got a new one. Not sure if the DMV would accept that though. Good Luck!! We need to get to the DMV, at least I will report an honest weight on my license GG yay for having another year with Addi!! Hope the icing has helped and good for you planning ahead for your weekend!! Murphy Ha ha all that sweating just burns more calories....you go girl!!! I figure I am getting in a lot more activity as we have all bedrooms upstairs and laundry will be downstairs!!! It's already getting easier to climb them!! Cindy Sorry for the high heat but glad your plants are surviving. Love that the birds are visiting you. I put out a hummer feeder but haven't seen anyone yet. Also have heard the cardinal but haven't spotted that sneaky guy. That was my dad's favorite and we always have said it's a sign from him....glad he is visiting our new home. In California there were no cardinals and I missed them. Carole Hope you had a great weekend!!! Are both of our kids getting summer jobs or hanging around? Hi and hugs to all. Jan

Hello friends! I had a nice birthday! Ty had a party today so we celebrated yesterday. We went to this arcade place, played pac man and all sorts of fun games! Onto my favorite restaurant, Lou Malnatis, then a washer game and fire. Today I had to lube my bike chain and I bought a good pair of sunglasses, with interchangeable lenses, darn if I can't get one out though! I also bought a cycling top.
Amy, glad the beach was so nice!
Murphy, pj saturday sounds great!
Jan, how far is it to your cabin? Lex has a part time job. Her day care closed last week. Ty is being a bum! He "looked" for a job! I though your boy was going to minnesota?
Gg, I can't believe Addi will be 5 already in December.
Cindy, so good to hear from you.
