Welcome to our 2018 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

NEW CHALLENGE! Declaration of Independence from Alcohol June 1 - July 4
Freedom from alcohol? Does that make sense to you? Are you held hostage to it, use it to calm yourself, to forget what is going on, to get through the evening or even the day? What once was an enjoyable treat has become a daily necessity? Then it is time to take a stand and declare yourself independent. It isn't easy, if it was there would be no need for the support of this board. But together we stand and together we can fight it.
Think about the freedom from alcohol. It isn't just about the money, but it is about your health and well-being.
How is your Pursuit of Happiness being affected by alcohol?
The focus of this board is to be ALCOHOL FREE. The focus of our new challenge is be alcohol free from June 1 - July 4, one day at a time. Starting June 15 and ending July 4, we are challenging ourselves to make the right choices, and go alcohol free. Can you let yourself be the person you want to be? Can you reach out for help if need be? The rules are simple, no alcohol for the challenge (understanding for a very special occasion is given). Post your stats daily, it is an essential component to success. One misstep does not mean throw away the day, the night, the week. We are works in progress.
This is a challenge about control....you are in control of what goes in your mouth. Give yourself the gift of THINDEPENDENCE and be selfish if that is what is needed to take care of you!
If you slip, post to the board and find some understanding. If you slip and report you are AF, you are not hurting us, you are hurting yourself. Slips happen, pick yourself up and start again. There is no judgement, we are very supportive of each other.
As with all of our challenges, everyone is welcomed. For some making the commitment for the four week challenge is the way to go. For others, one day at a time is the way to go. No one will be cut from the challenge. And feel free to post to the board even if you choose not to commit to the challenge. But you might want to ask yourself why.
June 1 - June 7: What is your PREAMBLE (your intention for the challenge?)
June 8 - June 14: What are your BIll of RIghts as a Weight Watcher? (the right to eat fruit, the right to exercise, the right to feel good about yourself, etc.)
June 15 - June 21: What is your pursuit of Hapiness?
June 22 - June 28: What does Freedom mean to you by working this life plan?
June 29 - July 4: Get ready for your own fireworks to happen by declaring your Truths!
Kick the tyranny of alcohol and a few extra pounds aside as we celebrate THINDEPENDENCE.

I waited about 45 minutes at the SS office to get a replacement card. It will come in the mail in 1-2 weeks. I think I can still get my driver's license with my W-2.
I left around 2pm to go to the SS office, but it still was a pretty productive day at work.

Good morning, up before 5 again so figure I'll just get going Planning to take a little me time today, haven't even got to walk by the lake for the last few days. Better do it at this time of year while it's sunny and nice!! May take a load to the laundry, our new washer dryer are supposed to come tomorrow, but I have some bedding and things to wash from the cabin so sometimes easier to take it all to the big washers and get it all done at once. We actually cooked a "real" meal last night, on the BBQ, but tasted good to have fresh veggies, steak and potatoes. HOpe you all have a great day planned!! Enjoy. Jan Amy Hope you can get your license. Yay for the short day!! will check back later.

Busy morning at meetings! Lots of success!! Sad news from ds. They had to put down their dog. Everyone knew it was coming, but that doesn't make it any easier. DS brought her down here this morning and DH buried her up in the woods near the swingset. The kids want to come down to give her a funeral, but I'm not sure when. She was 15 years old, so had a good long life.
I'm getting my hair done today.
Amy: Glad all is working out!
Jan: Isn't that the truth? After vacation, I'm always ready to eat at home!!
Hi to all that follow!!
