This challenge was created six years ago by a few Weight Watchers members. We are committed to making positive and permanent lifestyle changes. Success isn’t always measured at the scale. Each day, tally the positive actions that you made the day before and then talk about the challenges you are working on. Anyone with a positive commitment to the program can join. If you are the first one to post each day, please copy, paste and get us started and, if you choose, pose the Question of the Day (QOTD) that solicits constructive ideas to following the plan

Good morning Canners- ! Sending hugs your way- great successes and energy from your posts.
I have been trying out Noom- a calorie counting daily monitoring app. I find it interesting since I am very nutrition conscious (thanks to WW) but also overload due to all the freebies that WW offers (nonfat yog, fruit, veggies, chicken) and eat all the time. Noom is requiring me to put on the brakes due to calorie counting (even veggies!) which has me reigning in on portions( and also experiencing hunger- a new feeling for me!). I have a feeling it is a match for me. Stay tuned.
I have also been having interesting convos with galpals and DH about NEEDING to lose weight. In my year of "self advocacy", I know that being at a normal weight BMI, (which is 3-4 lbs away) will somehow give me permission to let the scale go. That is where I am headed.
do you ever feel hungry?
Healthy happy wishes to all- I'll check in again manana

Good morning positive ones! Sally, I think I've heard someone mention Noom before. Is it anything like Myfitnesspal? I actually do get the hunger feelings lately since last month's cleanse as I'm not snacking like I had been. So I do get the rumbling stomach now. That's a good feeling to know I haven't snacked my way to the next meal!! Good luck to you. On that note of self advocacy, I have to make my mammo and physical appointments today, they've been put on too long already.
Yes I CAN: -Take time to get on the gazelle again today to get my steps in. -Track my little heart out. -Keep to my healthy options. -Stay positive. -Don't fall asleep to Netflix tonight. Reading better option.
Waves to all following. I forgot, is Janet gone again this week?

Happy Thursday Pals,
Sally: You really started me thinking about the hunger issue. Yes, I am hungry before a meal. That's good, isn't it? I just don't want to feel starved all the time because I know that is a recipe for over-eating for me. Good luck with the Noom! I think it's important for us to keep learning and growing. Also, thanks for all the support dear friend. You always seem to know when I need a "hello" text.
Nat: Love the thought of the turtle on it's back looking up at the stars. There is truly something to be gained in every situation. Glad you are doing so well lately. WTG on the WL.
Carol: Glad your tap dance is starting up soon! Love to dance. Exercise that soothes the soul.
Janet: Sending love, light and blessings wherever you are.
YES, I AM... --staying on track. Eating clean. --Dance last night, Dance tonight. --prepping for a warm weekend. Grill needs to be dusted off. --getting business stuff done. County offices, banks, DMV, etc. (I was having a really hard time doing this. Sweetie kicked me in the pants to start). LOL.
Hope it is a beautiful day where you are...and if it isn't, make it a good one anyway.
Jan
