Welcome to our 2018 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

NEW CHALLENGE! Declaration of Independence from Alcohol June 1 - July 4
Freedom from alcohol? Does that make sense to you? Are you held hostage to it, use it to calm yourself, to forget what is going on, to get through the evening or even the day? What once was an enjoyable treat has become a daily necessity? Then it is time to take a stand and declare yourself independent. It isn't easy, if it was there would be no need for the support of this board. But together we stand and together we can fight it.
Think about the freedom from alcohol. It isn't just about the money, but it is about your health and well-being.
How is your Pursuit of Happiness being affected by alcohol?
The focus of this board is to be ALCOHOL FREE. The focus of our new challenge is be alcohol free from June 1 - July 4, one day at a time. Starting June 15 and ending July 4, we are challenging ourselves to make the right choices, and go alcohol free. Can you let yourself be the person you want to be? Can you reach out for help if need be? The rules are simple, no alcohol for the challenge (understanding for a very special occasion is given). Post your stats daily, it is an essential component to success. One misstep does not mean throw away the day, the night, the week. We are works in progress.
This is a challenge about control....you are in control of what goes in your mouth. Give yourself the gift of THINDEPENDENCE and be selfish if that is what is needed to take care of you!
If you slip, post to the board and find some understanding. If you slip and report you are AF, you are not hurting us, you are hurting yourself. Slips happen, pick yourself up and start again. There is no judgement, we are very supportive of each other.
As with all of our challenges, everyone is welcomed. For some making the commitment for the four week challenge is the way to go. For others, one day at a time is the way to go. No one will be cut from the challenge. And feel free to post to the board even if you choose not to commit to the challenge. But you might want to ask yourself why.
June 1 - June 7: What is your PREAMBLE (your intention for the challenge?)
June 8 - June 14: What are your BIll of RIghts as a Weight Watcher? (the right to eat fruit, the right to exercise, the right to feel good about yourself, etc.)
June 15 - June 21: What is your pursuit of Hapiness?
June 22 - June 28: What does Freedom mean to you by working this life plan?
June 29 - July 4: Get ready for your own fireworks to happen by declaring your Truths!
Kick the tyranny of alcohol and a few extra pounds aside as we celebrate THINDEPENDENCE.

Good morning, or well, afternoon! I've been up, just on the computer. DH left for awhile, so I have the house to myself!! Ahhhhh. My plan is to just putter around the house. I think DS and family are coming tomorrow to have a farewell for their dog, so I need to make sure the house is clean, at least the bathroom!!
I got a call yesterday that they want me to do an overnight sleep study. Guess I'll have to see what that's all about. Im guessing I will need a shot for my hip, but who knows. I need to do something. Even I am getting tired of too much sitting, well, sort of! Lol
Amy: Glad everything is working out! Whatever happened to you working at home?
Jan: My idea of camping is the Holiday Inn!!
Carole: I am so stinking proud of you!!
Cindy: It's amazing what can come out of Ancestry.com. My sil discovered she had all kinds of half brothers and sisters that she knew nothing about!
I better get something done. Have a great day!

WooHoo! GSW won!
Hi Amy, I am just happy the Cavs lost...being swept is even better. (DQ was from Ohio) Hope you have your license. Do you like your photo? This past year I was sitting in a chair, signing the paper work and smile, photo done. Aargh! Managed to get a Cana and lily from Lowe's today....DS will be planting tomorrow!
GG, DH did two sleep studies....the first one, they woke him up, called the doctor and set him up immediately with a C-Pap. He was bad! The second study was to get a new machine and that went well. Was your SIL bothered by the "new" half brothers and sisters.
BIL is here and is talking...made him be quiet during the game but now I have to listen..
Hugs to all, Cindy
