Susi, sorry your DS is not feeling well. Good plan to freeze and use the stuff you were taking. I have tried the mashed cauliflower and the riced --- I still like mine raw or roasted. LOL yes, I agree, Charlie is your self-appointed trainer. Go Charlie!
Ann, glad the neighbor is coming to finish the job. WOW, I just have to ask --- did you enroll in a patience class? I ask because in the last couple of months you sure have been getting a lot of practice in it. Preparing sounds like a good plan. You just never know. yesterday I decided I wanted dessert first, so DD and I went to Chili's and each had a molten lava cake. Then we came home and had chili fritos. Only 1 oz found me this morning --- but I know the rest are lurking ... about to pounce ...
LaDonna, good that you are stocked with lots of OP things. Enjoy your day at home.
How - the usual uniform --- AWARE and water, water, water.
Hope AWF have a great day!
Pam, Annette, Audrey, Cyndee and June --- hope all is good.

Bee- you were wise enough to recognize the value of those insights. You, my dear, are wiser than you know! Dance the "dodge" step!
Ann- glad that you have a "date" for the repair. Am glad that you are surrounded by so many caring neighbors.
Susi- good to know that your gutters are clear. DH says that he is going to install wider gutters in the spring to deal w/ the occasional torrential rainfall. I just let him go...

About DM- she was sitting in a chair & had enjoyed her breakfast. Test results still coming in. Her situation has always been complicated. So I doubt that we will get any clear understanding from local hospital. Hoping to get her inpatient rehab. Will see. Thx you for prayers.

Today-- KOKO How: rest & recuperate. Will be mindful about what I eat, but will nort put any undue stress on myself. Luckily DH will do whatever I ask of him. He got his second deer this morning while I was asleep. As far As I know he will take it to the butcher b/c they vacuum seal the meat. Or maybe he will try to smoke it. Who knows?
Still pushing fluids & OTC sinus meds. Since I am not worse, I will wait for regular doctor appointment on Monday. I look like crap though. I took a selfie to send to mom, but didn't. No need to have her worried about me.
Signing off for now since Sisters keep blowing up my phone. Am lucky that DH said that he could sit w/ mom since I can not. Am not complaining @ my sisters-- they want to keep me informed & we are fortunate to have each other. All this would be worse if not for Sisters pitching in.

I have to get with it and I want to get with it. Next week atleast I can get back on my treadmill. I'm not blaming it on that trust me ... it is me and only me....

Good Morning Friends Susi, what a bad way to begin a Saturday morning and why could it not go off at a later time? Sorry your DS is sick but at least you have figured out what to do with the meal you planned. Ann, we used to have a neighbor who could fix anything and it was such a blessing not to depend on a serviceman. My husband and son are very handy but can't do everything. I went on a protest when the light near where I sit was not working. Told DH I would not turn it on until it was fixed and after 10 days he took the hint and put in a new socket. There are lots of things I do not know how to do. Enjoy the dishwasher. I am glad you have it before your surgery as it will make it easier for Carl. Thinking of you as you make your preparations. I know it will all go well but the wait is hard until it is over and you are on your way to a full recovery. Bee, thanks for beginning my day with your class. All are important things to remember. June, you needed that rest. Hope your mom continues to improve and that you continue to feel better this weekend. We are on our way to walk the dog, later than usual, and do our grocery shopping. I need to then get some other things for DD's birthday luncheon tomorrow. I finally journaled last night and it felt good. Weight went down .2. Don't know why it can go up a pound and take days to get off but that is how it is. KOKO today with water, grilled shrimp and red peppers for dinner and as much active walking as i can get. Just getting the house child proofed involves lots of steps. Hoping we all have a good day.

Naomi-- congrats on taking off those 6 lbs! I think that yo- yoing is part of the maintenance phase.
Those last 5-10 lbs are different b/c the caloric deficit b/w what you can consume to lose or maintain is so much smaller. So they can come back more easily. Just hang in there. if you are yo-young, it means that you only have to tweak a few things.

Audrey- yay! Kudos for journaling yesterday. It does feel good to set a reasonable goal and accomplish it. Bet that you do it again today! Enjoy your walk & planning for DD's celebration. You really can get in a lot of steps doing household chores! Ha ha ha... no one sleeps as soundly as I do! I should have realized sooner that I was getting sick. DUh- I was so chilled in class on Tues that I wore my coat. And I came home & went to bed for a few hours. Was very disorienting b/c I sleep so deeply. My body was trying to fight off what ever this is. I thought that I would fight it off, but it apparently has to run it's course.
Pam- so glad that your DH is making progress. Nice to have some help w/ your preparation for his return home. Hope that you had a lovely lunch.

Bee - Sometime dessert just has to come first! June - Happy to hear the sisters are keeping you up to date and not putting too much stress on you. Naomi - I think maintenance is harder. It's sort of "now what?". You have no new weight goals to strive fore. You almost want to say "I'm here. So now I can go back to what I want." But you can't or wind up back at your starting point. DS is my sister. Neither she nor I ever had kids. :-( I did become a step grandmother for the 3rd time early this week. Unfortunately, they all live in England so I see them via FB and occasional Skype. Pam - Glad DH is coming along. It's good you have family to hlepl CO detector has a new battery and is tested and rehung. Next up, change the batteries in the motion detector on the shed and battery in my scale. Want to guess what was on my shopping list today?
