Good morning all. DS is sick so our plans to head up north today will be postponed. I was bringing the fixings for chicken marsala so I will freeze the chicken cutlets. I think I will also cook the mushrooms and freeze them cooked. I'll use the cauliflower rice during the week. I was going to go to my normal weight class this morning, but with the change of plans I may go to the 11 a.m. class instead and have a lazy morning. There was still room in tomorrow's spin class so I signed up for that. I also need to replan my food.
My day started at 4:30 when the CO detector decided to let me know I have a low battery. I don't have a spare so I will be shopping later. Not a bad time to stock up on batteries in general. One more thing is to check my gutters. The way the water poured in the last storm may mean I need to do a little clear out.

Good morning Susi and AWF. Sounds like you are off to a busy start. Always good to be prepared with batteries and checking the gutters. Enjoy your meal and spin class. The DW shall be hooked up today. The problem with the valve was more complicated. Isn't that always the case? Luckily Jim (one of our many wonderful neighbors) will be over at some point today with the part and will finish the job. In the meantime I just 'sit and wait' before I can use it. I had more points than I normally do on a Friday. I have my 'work' cut out for me today. I'm going to make the WW'er veggie soup, freeze it in 1 cup containers and have that all set. I need to really start planning ahead to get meals done up like that as I have no clue how long I'll be in the 'healing process' after surgery. Wishing a great day for all, and I'll CBL

Morning Ladies,
Susi, sorry your DS is sick and your plans fell thru but your reroute sounds pretty darn good! Love your attitude. You always make the best of any situation. That is so annoying when those low battery beeps start while you are trying to sleep. Good plan to stock up on batteries.
Ann, I know you're aggravated about your dishwasher. I am sure they will have it up and going for you in no time. Good plan with the soup and preparing meals ahead for post surgery.
Well, I just rolled out of bed a little while ago. Drinking coffee. I have a day to be home and get things done. I want to take a walk shortly but it is so cold out this morning. Or cold to what we have been used to in the south LOL. Will be a KOKO day for me. Groc shopped last night and I am well stocked with F/V and other OP fixings.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Ann - You're almost there with the dishwasher! Good plan to have some things is place for post surgery. It will make recovery less stressful. LaDonna - The good thing about having Charlie is that even with a fenced in yard, he INSISTS on 2 walks a day, no matter with the weather. Enjoy the day.

LaDonna it's cold here as well. Hopefully it'll warm up so that I can go out and get some fresh air! I'll dress for it, as I do like the cold air on my face!
Wonderful, Susi that you have Charlie as your personal trainer LOL. Enjoy.
I just did my stint with the wii and although I went over in points, it hasn't 'found' me yet!
CBL

I can share this ---
NEW YEARS CLASS: Philosophy 101 As we grow older, and hence wiser, we slowly realize that: Whether we wear a $300 or $30 watch - - - they both tell the same time. Whether we drink a bottle of $300 or $30 or $3 wine - - - the hangover is the same Whether the house we live in is 300 or 3,000 or 30,000 sq. ft. - - - the loneliness is the same. And we realize our true inner happiness does not come from the material things of this world. Whether we fly first or economy class, if the plane goes down -- we go down with it and if the plane reaches its destination -- everyone arrives at the same time. We should realize that when we have mates, buddies and old friends, brothers and sisters, with whom we can chat, laugh, talk, sing, talk about north-south-east-west or heaven and earth -- that is true happiness.
Six Undeniable Facts of Life 1. Don't educate your children to be rich. Educate them to be happy, so when they grow up they will know the value of things, not the price. 2. Best wise words: "Eat food as your medicine. Otherwise you have to eat medicines as your food." 3. The one who loves you will never leave you because, even if there are 100 reasons to give up, he or she will find one reason to hold on. 4. There is a big difference between a human being and being human. Only a few folks really understand that. 5. You are loved when you are born. You will be loved when you die. In between, you have to manage. 6. If you just want to walk fast, walk alone; but, if you want to walk far, walk together. Six Best Doctors in the World 1. Sunlight 2. Rest 3. Exercise 4. Diet 5. Self Confidence 6. Friends and Family Class dismissed!

Susi, thanks for getting us started today. Obviously, I slept later.
Susi- sorry to hear that your DS isn't feeling well. Hope that she soon is. Making this a lazy morning is a great way to "repurpose" the time. Enjoy the unexpected down time before you undertake your chores.

Bee, wise words from a very wise woman:)
June, I think it's great you slept in this morning. Hope that means you had a restful night's sleep. How is DM?

Susi- sorry didn't finish my thoughts b/c of texts & call @ my mom. Hope that you can catch a nap later if you become irked from the early wake up call from your battery.
Ann- fingers crossed that your friend can make the adjustments. Nice to have such good neighbors. That's a wise precaution to have some food prepared. You will probably feel more in control by doing something.

Loved that Bee. All of it touches home for me. June - It's great that you slept in! Carol was feeling up to walking the dogs so we got in 2500 steps. I'm going still make the chicken marsala for dinner for Carol and myself and freeze the rest of the chicken. Her stepson is having 6 of his friends over for the weekend and she wants out of the house for a while. I'll head to the gym shortly. Nothing wrong with my guttters except too much rain to keep up!

Bee I just LOVED the NY class! Very thought provoking! Thank you for sharing that with us.
Yeah June on a good sleep.
Just heard from Jim. He'll be over around 11:00 to complete the job.
I finished breakfast and tracked it. I'll 'think' about lunch...supper will be chicken soup and a crusty roll.
If I don't check back later, you'll know I'm playing with the new DW lol.

Ann, sorry, I didn't finish my post to you. Had to take text & then sister calls. Sister sitting w/ mom called me so that I could talk to her. Last thought-- keep dancing "the dodge."
LaDonna- my first leader always said that you cannot eat what is not in the house. That is true on both sides of the equation-- zero or lower point foods to balance out the pointier choices and the high point stuff. Glad that you are stocked up! DH made a grocery run last night-- he knows me well. tour weekend plans. Yep, cold is relative. We are probably going to light our fireplace for the first time this winter. Will be nice to have that extra warmth. Maybe it will warm up a little & you will walk later.
Bee- thanks for giving us some things to ponder. Will reread what you shared, but at first glance, Many of those beliefs are in tune w/ what I believe. But it is always good to remind yourself and be conscious of them. Love that you offered us those reflections. Hope to hear from you later.
