BornTexan= way to go on eating 1 cookie! I could never do it. I like the thin mints, but the shortbread cookies and a cup of tea are my downfall. Deb-does-WW= you made me laugh with the Cher moonstruck "snap out of it" slap. I LOVE that movie. When I was dating my DH and it was looking serious my mom asked if I loved him and I said "I love him awful" to which she responded "that's too bad". Every now and then she'll ask if I still love him awful. YEP! None of the staff in my class have seen that movie. I think it's one of my top 5 favorites. Bella Luna! Love!

SAMOA APPLES INGREDIENTS 3 Granny Smith apples 1 c. jarred caramel sauce 1 c. coconut flakes 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips 3 tbsp. butter DIRECTIONS Slice apples into 1/4"-thick slices. Use a small biscuit cutter or melon baller to remove the core from the apples. Set aside. In a medium-sized bowl, add caramel sauce and coconut flakes, stirring to combine. Spoon caramel-coconut mixture on each apple slice. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted. Drizzle melted chocolate on apple slices and serve. Spoon caramel-coconut mixture on each apple slice. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and butter. DebDoesWW, thanks for clarifying the GSC acronym. thyme2, I was a Boy Scout but don’t think I was even aware of Girl Scouts or GSCs back then. Of course I didn’t have any sisters, so that may have played a role. In any event, I don’t need GSCs because I lose control with ANY cookies no matter the quality or price. I have friends whose daughter is in the Girl Scouts; in fact her mother is the co-leader of the troop. I solved the dilemma about buying/not buying cookies from her several years ago…I simply write their troop a large check once a year and it goes to their troop to use for what they want, not to the national or regional treasury. And like World’s Finest Chocolate, if I decide to buy candy or cookies from children in front of a store I make this bargain with them: I’ll pay for it, THEY eat it.

pbnj Those look fantastic!! But, DebDoesWW, my store bought samoa picture doesn't look nearly as good as Pat's. Really awesome I must say! Glad I don't have the ingredients to make these! I think I will just go to bed......
