This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Good morning, all.
B1G stayed with us last night. He'd fallen asleep on the sofa, so when the DPs came, I told them to just leave him.
I made pasta yesterday, enough for six meals, as well as a pan of crescent rolls. All is divided and put in the freezer, except for one bag of rolls. Between that, having the Grands for supper and after, this is one tired grammy.
Raising my mug from the recliner; enjoy your day of rest!

Good morning, Nancy! Mug salute.
I borrowed a page from you, Nancy, and as DGF and I chatted away for nearly 2 hours (it's been 6 months -- lots to catch up on), I walked the house. Nearly 10K for the day, as a result. With groceries done and a meal plan affixed to the fridge door, I feel ready for what the week may bring. Monday is going to be a long one, for sure, with a parent meeting in the evening. My dinner plan for tonight should cover tomorrow.
I hope to get outside today for a bit. Temps are comfortable and the sun is shining. It'll do me good.
DS called with a proposal for meeting up for spring break in NM or West TX when he finishes a conference. It's great that he wants to link up. Availability will determine final destination --it's the height of break season.
Frieda, it's always good to see you when you can pop in. Looking back on the week, I did meaningful exercise 3 days. While not a huge amount, it's a down payment.

I am watching Bubble Guppies and found it leaves a few brain cells free. Thought I'd catch up on the board, and lonely and behold, I wasn't behind. Yay to our stalwarts: Nancy and T.
I walked at the Fort today and it is so rejuvenating. It is?a special treat when I push a single stroller. I made a joke to DH about going over icy spots pushing the stroller....that when the kids outgrow the stroller I'll probably find I need a walker, and will not have known it. I thought it was funny, but he remained glum. He's in the throes of withdrawal from cigarettes. I would appreciate prayers that he be able to continue to abstain as he's getting better and really having a harder time now.
And tomorrow I'm taking Dd3 for a doctor visit. Prayers that all will be liveable would be appreciated.
The Family of Four is not here since yesterday noon as the other grandparents came up from KC.
Nancy, I think you have a very soft spot for Big 1. Some just stir the maternal, nurturing, protective sides of the grandma heart. I was wondering today as I walked if you have a vehicle that fits all three? I have never heard of you transporting them all at once and wondered. I would not thrive if we weren't mobile as a group.

Linda, I do have the capability to transport three but don't find it necessary under most circumstances. And yes, you're right. B1G has a special place in my heart, as much as I love the others. Emotionally, he's the most needy, and he and I have always had a special bond. Maybe because he's the first...? And, for your family, prayers always!
We have the Three this afternoon so the DPs can have a date day at a movie, then grocery shopping...without help. They've been SO good all day; how could we refuse??
Salad chopped, celery cleaned, eggs baked, and soup fixings in the fridge, along with the pasta and rolls in the freezer. Hoping this helps make a busy week easier. There should be leftovers from the evening pot roast with potatoes and onions, as well.

Waving HI to all CATS~ Listening to Pandora's 80's pop music. We got the beat started it off. Job Fair on Friday seemed to be more on vocational for the trades. Did talk to a couple community colleges and found out that I am not eligible for financial aid. DH works full time, puts me over the acceptable range. When I got home, ate a bite and then went for walk to library. Saturday started off with ww's - scale edged down .6# for the week. Grocery shopping completed. Tentative plans to go to stisters but she wasn't in the mood for a visit. So, maybe next Saturday. Today, fixed a new recipe from Cooking Light J/F 2016 - Veggie Eggy Scramble. 7 sp. Dinner tonight is Turkey Burgers. After bfast, DH & I de-iced deep freezer and re-organized it. Freezer list updated too. Checked refrig freezer and made a list of leftovers that can be parlayed into a meal or DH's lunch. After bfast, did happy light and exercised with Jillian's No More Trouble Spots. I adjust some of exercises. She does 2 sets of each and I do one. One thing I noticed is that she doesn't have water bottle around. Frieda - I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you. (((HUGS))) Nancy - I think this job is doing you a world of good. I wouldn't be surprised if you work more days soon. B1G is lucky to have you on his side. I think I'm coming to raid your freezer. I have the food but it's not meal ready. T - I'm sure that conversation was the highlight of both of you and DF's day. Good job on the 3 days of exercise. Linda - I'm sure pushing a single stroller is much easier than the multiple. Bet your arms are looking good. Thoughts & Hugs to all~ martha
