A quite day at the beach house. Bobbie's boyfriend Mac's DM was taken to the hospital today so they went there instead of here. His DM is 92 and had a cardiac episode.....she'll tell me more when I see her tomorrow. Jim hasn't had a bath now since last Wednesday but we do have an appt for the dentist tomorrow at 11:30. I'll be leaving Tuesday at 4:30AM since I have to be there earlier for the wheel chair service. It is best for me 'cause I have a really short layover in Charlotte and will need the service there. I just can't walk fast anymore. The guy that called me from the airline (American) said if I want the service in Charlotte, I'll have to use it in San Diego also. I just hope I get home early enough tomorrow to finish my packing. I can't pack the bathroom thingy until I finish using the stuff Monday night. I don't have 2 of everything for my teeth. Harriet: I'll show you the picture of my new DGGS when I see you....He is really very handsome already. I also hope you had a free meal after being drowned. Sandy: I'll be happy for Maija when she turns 18....but, I also pray that she realizes that NOT all men are like her father. Glad she has a good DGF to see. And, as I have said, I think Debbie was too patient putting up with him. She should have divorced him years ago. I pray that will go quickly for her. I am giggling at your doggy story. I wish I could find a nice doggy for us. One of these days - I'm sure. Nancy: Sorry it was too hot for your trip. It has been warm here at the beach but nothing like that. We are using the A/C but Jim likes it too cool so I wear a sweater in the house. Let's get into our circle of wagons now and sing by the fire "WE CAN DO THIS, YES WE CAN...WE CAN LOSE NEW POUNDS...MY THIN FRIENDS!"

Well this morning I'm keeping fingers crossed as yesterday afternoon Debbie and Maija took a drive looking at different areas to see where they might want to live as Debbie said Maija really needs her own space and even though they're both very grateful for us letting them stay here sharing a bedroom is not very good for either of them. I agree as teenagers really do need their own space. So anyway they found an area and there is a fairly new apartment complex that would be perfect for them as it's close to shopping, not far from Maija's school, closer to Maija's friends and Sam, plus only about 10 minutes from us and the rent is below what Debbie thought she would have to spend. It has a 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment with all appliances, a/c, plus a garage so today Debbie is going to call and see if any are available. Plus she read that they have some units that are fully furnished so that would be one less expense if she got one of those. Her attorney told her not to buy but wait until after the divorce but definitely find a place to rent, plus get a car for herself as she needs one for work and Maija needs one for work and school and right now Maija drives their car and Debbie drives one of ours. The attorney said this would help on the financial disclosure as IF Jeff was granted alimony those costs would be deducted from what Debbie earns before deciding what he will get but her attorney knows the judge for their case and told Debbie he has never granted alimony to the man in a case like theirs. Plus her attorney is going to meet with the judge to tell him why Debbie and Maija left the house as nobody has shared that yet and she highly doubts the judge will mandate visitation due to the trauma it would cause Maija. Of course Maija would still have the option of filing for emancipation. So maybe after all my prayers things might be starting to look up for them!
Bailey looked absolutely adorable when we picked her up from grooming! She knew it too as she had a pretty sassy spring in her step! I think Bridgette was jealous so next time we'll get Bridgette groomed as well since she's a beagle and doesn't need it as often as Bailey does.

Hi everyone thanks for the start Kathie. So sorry to hear that Jim hasn't had a shower since Wednesday but happy that he will get into the dentist today. Glad that you got a wheelchair for both San Diego and Charlotte. It's no fun rushing between planes. I had to laugh at you wearing a sweater in the house with the a/c on. Sounds like the girls in the stores.
Sandy I'm praying that Debbie's lawyer knows what he is talking about and things work out for the divorce. The furnished apartment sounds great and a car for Debbie would work out too. Maija sounds like it will work out for her too. Sounds like Bailey is a real card.
It's supposed to be cooler today. We didn't get bad storms yesterday. It did rain but nothing like a tornado. We'll be going to Klement's this morning to pick up some sausage for Joel and Ruth to take back to Jersey. We may go dancing but we'll see what we'll do for the rest of the day. Have a great Monday! Hugs and blessings to us all! See you in the morning

It is mid morning, and my day is not going as planned. I really wanted to go to WW, but the scales were not low enough for me to be certain I wouldn't be over. So Bobby has gone to the urologist for a scan, then a haircut and a visit to the nursing home. I am breathing a bit, but had an awful night. So bad that my FitBit didn't even register that I went to bed. I am getting a mani and pedi at noon then will try to rest. Am packing my suitcase in my brain, but not in real time. There are so many loose ends I am trying to work. I walked at 8 and had PT at 9. Now I am catching up here.
Nancy, I know you will hate to see your family go. What fun the baby was! But you are so into your activities that you will not be bored - let down maybe, but not bored. Sandy, I hope Debbie is able to get the apartment and just plow through the rest of the issues one at a time as she has been doing. It can't be easy. She is fortunate to have you there to support her. Where is Phyl? I am guessing she had so much fun in her playpen that she hasn't come out, or she is out bumming around. Kathie, the wheelchair is a smart idea. That airport in Charlotte is a bear - in fact we think all of them are. DD was still hoping we would agree to fly to MB, but the Baltimore airport is the one with the non-stop flight and that is 2 hours away. If we went out of Dulles we would have to fly to Atlanta and then to Myrtle Beach. Duh! I am trying hard to get Bobby to agree to a train, and he may be moving that way. I we got to Myrtle Beach around the 20th and come back on the 29 or 30th. Sad about Bobbie's friend's mom. But at that age, anything can happen.
Have a good day friends. I am going to work at my desk, catching up on end of month stuff and beginning the packing. We can do it.
