Wow, busy day, but wanted to wave hi....I was out the door at 7:15, taking the car to the body shop and then walking home. I'm not interested in seeing the sunrise up close and personal every day, but it was lovely.
And š¶ met her new vet this AM...maybe not as dear as the one we had in Salem, but very pleasant....and the bill was certainly *dear*.
J is off today; we started hanging pictures last night and I hope we'll complete!
Have a good day!

snowing here, but not really any big amounts. I'm tired and ready to go home. I see an endocrinologist on Wed. Hopefully he can explain why my BP is always so low (86/59), I'm so tired/fatigued, and so cold all the time. This has been going on for years and has never gotten better. I wear a coat when it's 70 degrees.
Right now I have three layers on, two pairs of socks and I'm still cold. I'm so tired I feel like crying all the time,
They've tried playing with my meds, but I can't really work without them

Best stupid WW correspondence yet. When I did the switch over from online only to the 3 month meetings special. I asked if I get credit for being mid-month on my online payment.
I just got an e-mail saying my refund is on the way. I will receive a check for $0.
Guess I will be back on the phone with the guy with the accent that I cannot understand.

I would swear to you all that I got the same guy. There in lies the problems we all have. They just HAVE ONE guy. Anyway, I am getting a refund to my credit card. No explanation for the stupid e-mail. Good thing I love WW and have lots of other good things to say....accounts, technology,...not so much. Poor guy must be their programmer as well...

I haven't posted in the daily threads for a while. Things have been going on that have prevented me from doing so. But I'm OK. Only my little pet bird was sick. We had to take him to the animal ER on Saturday. He is OK now, but we want to see if the medication keeps him well.
Medication I've been taking has pushed me off the diet wagon for a while. Perhaps tomorrow it will be reduced and I can get back on. The medication makes me so extremely hungry.

Heather, hope the endo doctor helps.
Susiq or Mike, do,either of you have a French onion soup recipe not made in a crockpot? Would love to make it.

Late check in after a morning of exercise, shopping, and running errands. Dh is progressing daily. He got to take a shower this morning and now has two new pairs of sweat pants. He is very happy.
I'm refocused on mindful eating and getting in more steps. Hope everyone is finding many reasons to smile.

It makes me feel so provincial when I can't understand people, I really try, but am so relieved when it's not an issue. šµš» Don't open the refund in one place now!

zazzles and susiq25679 , there was a tea room in St. Louis that had the absolute best French onion soup, although it was pretty thick, not clear. The recipe called for carmelizing the onions for hours so I am very interested in how your soups come out! Like dina said lovely weather this week. I'm having a new WW.crockpot beef stew that has tomatoes and red wine. Hopefully zumba will relieve the stress I am having re this end of year report that I am doing for the first time with not much help! Linda, I ended up going to a Sur La Table cooking class today which was an unplanned outing for me. My WW friend who takes a lot of classes mentioned it when I told her I was making the French Onion soup. Today's class was French and included onion soup.
I started my onions in the slow cooker on high at 6 AM and by the time I got home at 2 PM they were mucho caramelizedāmore so than the recipe we made in class. On comparing the two recipesāthe higher-fat/calorie Sur La Table one and the WW oneāI couldn't pick one as being better than the other. Although, actually, the WW recipe seemed richer because it used half beef broth and half chicken broth whereas the SLT recipe used all chicken broth.
I just finished the WW version as my dinner and truly enjoyed it as a simple meal with sourdough bread.
If you're interested the WW recipe is at:

I saw that recipe awhile ago zazzles but since I didn't have sherry I didn't make it and kept forgetting to buy some. Thanks for the review.

zazzles, my DH and I were discussing that recipe and we both were surprised that they used chicken broth. I would use all beef and would have the sour dough bread topped with gruyere cheese, I know it would increase the points but then it would taste right to me!

Linda, I was surprised that the mix of chicken and beef broth produced the perfect soup. I think all beef would be too much.
The version we made at Sur La Table today used all chicken broth and the onions weren't nearly as deeply caramelized. The WW recipe produced the genuine depth of flavor I expect from a French Onion soup.
I agree about topping with croutons (toasted sliced sourdough) and Gruyere cheese. With a base of 3 SmartPoints for a serving of 1-1/2 cups of soup, there's plenty of room to fancy it up to suit your taste.

Mike, I played with the recipe and adding bread and Sargento low fat Swiss upped the points to 7, not bad!
