Good morning.
Sunny & cold so far this a.m. I'm noticing each night it stays lighter just a tad longer. I,love it.
Continuing on a clean sweep today in the house. I really need to learn to put things away 🙄. No,other plans for the day.
How does your day look?

I wish it was spring! Today here looks windy. We have a high wind warning for today with sustained winds of up to 40 mph. This will cause drifting snow, even though the last few days of warm weather has made the snow settle. That much wind will rip the top layers right off. I can expect my driveway to fill in again. We'll see what it is like by the end of the day.
My son is here so I'm not sure what we will be doing today, other than catching up on some recorded TV shows later today. I should put us to work on cleaning up my basement a bit. There are a whole bunch of dead box elder bugs down there on the floor. I don't know how in the heck they manage to get in, but in the fall they do. And then they die.

Good morning.
Early start this morning.
I’m making a French Onion soup recipe in the slow cooker that I got from the WW web site. It requires 13 hours of cooking, the first 10 to caramelize the onions.
I meant to set it up last night on delayed start so that the final 3 hours of cooking would be done for dinner. But, of course, I forgot. So I kind of woke with a start at 5:30 realizing I hadn’t started the soup; that was motivation to get up and start the day.
Dinner is going to be late! I will probably need a snack in the late afternoon.
Today is weigh-in day. Looks like another disappointing week but I’ll go nonetheless because my “homies” will be there.
I made progress pulling non-induction-compatible pots and pans out of the cupboards yesterday in advance of my new induction cooktop arrival and installation. Many things that I forgot I had! They are all good and I’m sure Goodwill will find a nice home for them. And I gained much-needed cupboard space for the induction-compatible stuff I’ve been accumulating the past several years. Win-win.
I wish you all a great day.

I did the slow cooker caramelized onions yesterday. Maybe because I filled the pot to the top, it took much longer? I cooked them 6 hours on high and then 8 hours on low to get the depth of color I prefer. I will probably use some to make a small batch of onion soup. Otherwise I am planned, tracked and ready to KOKO.

Happy Monday everyone!
It was a chilly 16 degrees this morning, BUT the sun is shinning and that makes me HAPPY!
Thursday and Friday of last week I went to Lake of the Ozarks to see my nephew play with his school band at the MMEA conference. They were good and it was such an honor for the band. He attends a private school and the band is only about 3 years old (under the new director) and they were amazing! I am so proud of him (and all the kids).
It's a busy week at work full of meetings! BLAH! oh well, at least I have a job!
I hope you all have a GREAT day!!

Good morning! Beautiful day here. In our neighborhood, we don't have sidewalks but we do have ditches lining the streets and the lawn mowers hired by our subdivision are out mowing today! Seems weird to be mowing in January but their contract probably specifies how many times they come. Going to be 74 degrees all week here so the Super Bowl fans should have a great time. The weather guessers mentioned the possibility of rain on game day but the roof of our dome can be closed so no one will get wet.
Have a great day. Onion soup sounds yummy!

Quick check in. Snow this morning. Best kind. 1 to 2 inches pretty on grass and trees but nothing on roads and sidewalks. Closed some schools since it was snowing at bus launch time in larger surrounding counties.
Work. Sigh.

zazzles and susiq25679, there was a tea room in St. Louis that had the absolute best French onion soup, although it was pretty thick, not clear. The recipe called for carmelizing the onions for hours so I am very interested in how your soups come out! Like dina said lovely weather this week. I'm having a new WW.crockpot beef stew that has tomatoes and red wine. Hopefully zumba will relieve the stress I am having re this end of year report that I am doing for the first time with not much help!

Although this was the first time I did the onions in the crock pot, I make onion soup frequently and, yes, it's more like an onion stew. I use a high ratio of caramelized onions to low sodium beef broth, red wine and a little cornstarch to thicken.

Checking in...Just returned from the gym...my Monday craziness--AiChi, Water Aerobics, Water Zumba and track walk. Trying to work off the uncontrolled eating and sitting of the week-end. <<sigh>> Planning a "sensible" lunch but the Hershey kisses and Doritos are screaming "pick me! pick me!" I need to send hubby and his never-ending bags and cabinet of goodies away !!
