After living in a bathing suit for 3 days, it is tough today to be dressed. The hot dog was awesome. Special today was foot long hot dog, small french fries, and a drink $5.. I always have mustard and onions on my hotdog or saurkraut sometimes. today was mustard and onion day. OOPs no gum with me.
After I got home, I called my neighbor to see if she wanted anything from Rite Aide and she wanted to go with me. She uses a cane and can't see very well so I helped her get the stuff she needed. Would you believe I got the cutest sun dress there. Navy blue with little flowers and a scoop back, just what I like to put on in the evening after my shower. It is below the knee and may have it cut off a bit and hemmed. Would like it just below the knee, since I am short below the knee in the store is below my calf. Strange length on a short person.
I have windows and doors shut now with AC on first time in 3 days. It is a bit warmer than it has been about 87°
I like the vanilla ice cream with some hot caramel and walnuts, please!!

I like that idea of cards on the table, Lucy. My plans are changed because of aFib. Other people go for days (flutter) but I am lucky. Now if Arthur would go away!
We need flowers!

Hello for the second time today!
Looks like everyone is doing pretty well today. The cyber food sounds delicious, and since it IS cyber food, it's all WW friendly. I'll have my vanilla ice cream in a cone, please.
This morning I hemmed some jeans that I had cut off (and worn for several days just rolled up). I picked up the house a bit, then went to visit Mom. We had a nice chat today, she asked about all of our relatives. It was a good visit.
Came home to eat some shredded chicken breast -- the bad part is that it was cooked with cream cheese and that is mixed into it. It was a recipe from Facebook, and I'm not fond of it. May try to rinse the cream cheese off and do something else to flavor the chicken.
Connie, the recipes from your friend sound wonderful! All the recipes I've found for lemon pie call for milk ... and I don't want mine milky; I like it clear almost transparent yellow and shiny. I'm not really crazy about meringue either, but it sure is pretty!
DH is popping popcorn. Yum! See y'all tomorrow! --Molly

Taking Jim for an echocardiogram tomorrow. And, it's at 3:45 so we'll be driving home during rush hour. I asked it they had an earlier appt. and the answer was NO - not for the type he was having. So, it will probably take 2 hrs. to get home. It's a 45 min. trip just to where we have to go. YUCK!!!!
Tucking you all in now in LIGHT GREEN BLANKETS WITH FLOWERS ALL OVER.....sweet dreams!

This is a good group.. love it that one can ask a question or mention something and so many of you comment.. Nice.
I like salsa on my baked potatoes and sour cream... but since this is for a potluck and the condiments will be provided I've decided to just take the turkey chili that I made and have in the freezer. I think that might taste good on a baked potato. Not for me though as my diet isn't back to normal and I'm still having to be careful in adding new foods.
Thank you Molly for the report on J.D. so glad to hear about how well he is doing.. Poor little guy really had a rough start.. Also thank you on telling us how you make the lemon pudding.. I think I'll try that. I like a clear filling too. My Mom always made lemon meringue pie from scratch but she never used a recipe.. I do remember her saying that the filling should be clear. I have a pkg of cook and serve lemon so might try that tomorrow.
We never went on vacations when I was growing up.. The most I ever did was spend a week in the big city (Sacramento) at my aunts house. She had a daughter the same age almost as I was.. We grew up being very close.. still are .. My Mom made picnic food a lot though on Sundays when the relatives would come.. we would eat in the yard so it was almost like a picnic.. We lived way out in the country.
Saw my doctor today.. he is concerned about me not getting enough protein in my diet.. He said I should add tofu twice a week, if I can't eat meat right now. So far I can't eat anything very dense.. no meat at all. He also gave me a prescription for some meds to help with pain.. not a pain med but maybe for arthritis.. have to look it up. Let's hope it helps.. I feel like doing things but as soon as I stand for five minutes my back, legs and feet hurt.. also my shoulders and neck.. it's gotten really bad.. So hope this works some anyway.
Kathie, hope it's not a really hot day for you taking Jim for his test.. It's been really hot here.. the temps are at 100 and climbing.
Dianne, was glad to read your son is going to be able to get his infusions again.. Ones health should not be determined by insurance companies..
Jenny
