Today was a bit better....I did 3 loads of wash so now my suitcase is empty and everything clean and put away. I am watering tonight because of the heat here was up to 115 while I was gone so everything is suffering out there. My roses did OK because Bobbie watered them but my front garden suffered. My tenant tho't she watered it but it was NOT on. The little thing that turns it on was NOT on. So the daisy's dropped dead entirely. I will have to replace them when it is cooler. Alpine had bad fires while we were gone. Nancy, that's kind of half way between the ranch and the Indian Reservation that we went to when you were here. But, it didn't come towards the ranch so we were OK. Sandy: I gained several pounds while on vacation. Don't know why because I ate just fine for me. Maybe it is sodium weight - not sure. I will be careful for the next few days. Nancy: I never did open the care....Must do that when I have time. Harriet: My beautiful purple butterfly shirt washed just great today. And, it's ready to be worn. I will wear it the next time I have lunch with my DF who I go to Vegas with. She'll get a big kick out of it. Phyl: I didn't sign up for Cat's challenge on our Ice Cream thread. I'm so far above my posted weight now. I'll have to go in and change it again. Maybe Saturday I will go to WI and get the correct weight first. Let's get into our circle of wagons now and sing by the fire "WE CAN DO THIS, YES WE CAN...WE CAN LOSE NEW POUNDS...MY THIN FRIENDS!"

Good morning friends. Kathie, I am glad the shirt washed fine. It wasn't exactly the quality of fabric I had hoped. Will wash mine today with all my laundry. Never got to it yesterday. Phyl, you have learned what I have that going to the meetings somehow keeps me in the game better than if I only go once a month. And these blooming NSAID are killing me. My whole system just becomes one sluggish monster when I take them, but they are helping the inflammation that is going on in my back, leg and heel. It is a rock and a hard place. Each meeting I go to I get some little pearl that keeps me going. I guess the drop I saw yesterday was a mirage, because it is as it was on Sunday when I got up.
Kathie, it is hard to watch the fires and know it is close to San Diego. How scary. Am also watching the efforts to get those boys out of the cave in Thailand. Incredible what it is taking. Nancy, how was your day back to normal with no company? Sandy, we are both in the same spot. I keep questioning why I am still sitting in the same place and not going down, but trips like last week and taking meds can make it seem so pointless to me. BUT, we can do it and we will. Have a good Tuesday, all.

Hi everyone thanks for the start Kathie. Boy, I can't believe 115. So glad the fires didn't affect you. Good luck on getting back on track. I can't gain but wouldn't wish COPD on anyone as a way to lose weight.
Harriet I also need my monthly meetings. The friends I have made there make my meetings a great outing. My day back to normal ended in a lovely meal at Seven Seas with Kurtiss and Joan from CA. It was a fantastic meal at a supper club on the lake. I had never been there before and enjoyed the grounds. Kurtiss played host for Bill, Kathy and myself. Great to meet up with them. I hadn't seen them since the last time I was in CA and took a bus trip to SD. Kathie was unable to meet us there.
Phyl it was 89 here yesterday but the humidity was down so it felt great. Fantastic weight loss for you! Congratulations! Don't use me as inspiration as my COPD helps me not to overeat. Although I am an addict when it comes to exercise. I had 16227 steps yesterday.
Today I'll walk, library again, dance and maybe go for the coffee here. I hope everyone enjoys their Tuesday! Hugs and blessings to us all! See you in the morning

Did get to the grocery store yesterday but didn't get much. Just so bored with food and Fred keeps getting things I need to stay away from but since it's here I mindlessly get into it. We see Maija very little as she either is upstairs on her phone or off with her friends. I know it's typical of teenagers and glad that she is able to do that. Then Debbie's hours are sporadic as she tries to see her third shift employees so they don't get into the mode of goofing off thinking nobody will check on them. Her interview went well for the director position and she was told she will be moving onto the second interview plus the guy said how happy he was she had applied several times and laid out the time frame he has for filling the position. None of this is usually discussed at the first interview but she doesn't want to get her hopes up and be disappointed. He did say the position will be filled by the end of the month.
Debbie did order memory mattresses last night from the same place she had ordered a mattress for Maija when they got her a new bedroom set a couple of years ago. She got a double and a queen and it will be delivered here and she will just keep it here until she moves into her apartment on August 11. I think I heard her telling Fred she is taking Maija furniture shopping on Friday and will have a delivery date of August 11 as the place she's going to has to order the furniture. This way Maija will have a say in what they get. Debbie said if it only lasts a couple of years that's okay as when they buy a house she'll want new and better furniture but for now it's just to have something that's reasonable.
I think today I will go shoe shopping, even though I hate shopping for shoes. But I do need new tennis shoes. Also need to do something to take my mind off food!
