Just returned from lunch with DD and having my nails done. It's hot, but it doesn't seem quite as hot as it was a couple of weeks ago. Maybe the humidity is down.
Sure am glad they got those kids (and even the coach is a kid) out of that cave. For the life of me, I can't figure out what possessed them to go back in there for 2.9 miles! What a mess. They said the coach was the weakest of all the kids because he had given them his food (and well he should have). Some are blaming him for the Seal's death. That guy must have done something wrong himself, because none of the others died -- although it was terribly dangerous.
Amazon assures me that my package will arrive today. I wanted to order something, and looked at Walmart first. It would take 2 weeks to get it sent to me through them. Amazon got it to me over the weekend. Walmart still has a way to go to beat Amazon. I see they are having a "Prime" day -- I think it's the 16th. They always have lots of good bargains.
I'll have a chocolate custard ice cream cone please.
BBL! --Molly

I was in town then went on to the next town to take my phone to Verizon. She straightened me out. I was sooo happy with her. Thought I would stop for a Sonic Vanilla Dish, but the truck just kept on going right on by and heading toward home. I guess it must have been tired of messing around in town.
So, a vanilla dish is my choice. I sure like TCGBY or whatever it is where you fill your bowl and they weigh it. I mix and match LOL. I always put nuts on mine.
We had family reunions on my dad's side when I was a kid, but Grandma died when I was 14 and the reunions ended. Have been to some cousins have given and once my sis did one. Once my mom and I had one for my dad's side of the family. Mom's side was not very family centered or whatever.

I went to the grocery store and got the freezer and refrigerated things put away. I'll have to do some rearranging in the pantry to get the rest put away. Now I shouldn't have to do a big shopping for a couple of weeks. Of course, Waylon went along and wanted to sniff the fruits and vegetables. I had to watch him closely because that is a big no-no for a service dog. We went to Bob Evans for dinner last night - my friend took me out for an early birthday dinner. I had a half pot roast sandwich with a bowl of soup and banana bread. My project for the next couple of days is to clean out a set of drawers in the ferret room. There is a bunch of junk in there that the ferrets really don't need. Stay cool (or try to) everybody. High today was 88 and it's supposed to be 90 tomorrow.

I'm watching QVC where the special of the day is a set of two inverted automatic open umbrellas. They close upward rather than downward so when you get in your car, the dry is on the outside instead of the wet drippy side out. Hmm. Doesn't that make the inside wet? They say not. They are lined. One of them has a lining of dogs and cats, one has butterflies, one has paisley, one has hearts, and one has inspiring words. They are really pretty! $25.92 today for two. No, I didn't buy them. Just think they are really neat if someone needs one.
Just returned from a Walmart trip. Totally frustrating. I got caught in the 5 o'clock traffic where only three cars could get through an intersection light at one time. So glad to get home!
So proud of Waylon! I can see where it would be difficult for a doggie to go through a supermarket.
I guess this is it for today. Hope you have a nice evening. Stay cool! --Mollyann

I got lost going to Jim's test today....but made it in time and it's over.....thank God! We had stopped at a pound and looked at a 7 yr. old cattle dog.....He was so sweet so we are going back Friday to see if we can adopt him. The gal I spoke to said he will love the ranch. He was just found yesterday so I have to wait until Friday 'cause his owner might want him back....not sure yet. I sat outside his cage and petted him....he was such a sweetheart. He was afraid of Jim's scooter but with Jim sitting there so long he got nosy about Jim too.
Jenny: It was 115 degrees here while I was in VA.
Tucking you all in now and wishing you all sweet dreams in our LIGHT GREEN BLANKETS WITH FLOWERS ALL OVER THEM.

Molly, the diver who died, did so from lack of oxygen.. He didn't leave enough for himself to get all the way back out.. I am so glad the rest all got out. hope they don't have any lasting health problems. Can you imagine how their parents must be feeling right now?
Lucy, yes you are right, insurance companies are in charge.. I have been so very lucky with all my health problems. Aside from the premiums we pay I have never had any out of pocket expenses for any of the many major surgeries and ER visits.. I am really thankful for that. We have Mutual of Omaha.
Cat, love the colors on the sweet peas.. Used to grow them on a wire fence.. boy they really smell sweet.
It was really warm here today too. Hubby had to fix the plug on our trailer so it will be ready next week for our trip. Our family reunion this year will be up just across from Mount Shasta.. We will go up on Wednesday morning and come back on Sunday.. Lots of activities and potlucks planned. I really look forward to this every year. I always think of grammy pat when I think of Mount Shasta.. that's where she was originally from and she called it home..
Today I made a lemon pie using Molly's method of cooking the filling in the microwave.. Hubby loved it.. I did too except I think I'd like a little more lemon. It sure was easy.
Better get ready for bed..
Jenny
