Happy Day All!
Woke up really early so am able to start. Don't have to leave for about an hour to the eye doc.
While this may sound strange I'm so glad I only gained 1.4 pounds while the gang was here! Could have been a lot more - and thought it would be.
PeggySue - I have no clue (that rhymes!) who keeps putting all kinds of stuff in my closets and drawers. Sheesh!
Mar - I read where they're asking you not too use your dryer until after 6PM. Wow! Lots of weather going on out your way - and Lin's.
Dayle - loved the story of Lily and the fly. What a personality she's got, and how well you know her.
Emily - so glad your sons could go with you to the wake. You all have a great support system.
BettyJ - what are you reading?
Lin - thanks for the positive words about the PAD. I've done a little research now and feel more positive. The vascular doc hasn't called yet so I may call them today. Want to get the appt in and whatever tests before we go back to GA. Read your post on Night Owls and enjoyed the pictures. That's some kind of storm you got.
Connie - thanks for the tip about DQ chicken salad. I may have to try that.
Today is the eye doc for me, combined with trips to Publix (yippee), BB&B, and Walmart. We're trying to combine trips because of the detour - adds 15 miles and at least 15-20 minutes. A trip to town was long enough to begin with. Also need to get over to see my neighbor while her daughter is still here. I've neglected her so far this trip.
Make your day a good one, and hopefully have a few laughs. See you later.

Good Morning All
Dayle - Sorry you had food poisoning and then lost sleep due to the fly. But, I Loved the Ms Lily and the fly story. Never a dull moment with the Princess.
Penny - Hope things go well at the eye doc. Just curious, what are they doing that causes you such a big detour?
Cleaning lady this morning and then I go for a haircut and to the bank.
Everyone have a Wonderful Wednesday.

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Sunny today. Currently it's 81; the high will be 87 with low humidity.
I have some laundry to do today which should take no time at all to get done. Today is the mass and burial of SIL's sister. I'm not attending because of the distance to drive and my sons are working. It was a long drive yesterday to the wake. I do hope Frankie will be ok. DD said he cried for almost an hour after he saw his Aunt Debbie. He was ok when I got there.
Guess I'll read some in between laundry.
Have a great day everyone!

Morning All!
Cousin came early last night and he and the princess played until she dropped at about 9 PM. We sat and talked for quite some time. He visits his only brother 3 times a year for only a short period of time. Apparently brother’s wife is a real erratic type of lady who flies into fits and unpredictable rages – so he keeps his visits short or his brother pays the price. Apparently she has a bit of a drinking problem too, so that added to the dementia makes everyone uncomfortable. He worries about his brother who has lost weight and seems cowed by her rages. And I think I have family trouble! He had a date with a friend to go watch baseball early today, so he is already off and running.
Lin those pictures of the dust storm are amazing! The power of nature is so hard to imagine sometimes. Are those storms common? Are they usually followed with the monsoon types of rain like that? That’s pretty volatile. I may complain about the snow and the cold, but at least we’re kind of predictable around here (just an occasional hurricane) so we can deal and prepare for what we get.
Penny hope your eye doctor appointment goes well. I got a notice the other day that I need to make an appointment for mine. I get frustrated because the MS makes my vision unpredictably blurry and I can never really say that my vision is clear. That and those darn floaters that seem to take up my whole viewing space add another level of frustration. Thank goodness for magnifying glasses otherwise my projects would look even more bazaar than they do.
Emily there are varying opinions on whether or not it’s good to take kids to wakes and funerals. Personally I think it depends upon the child – their questions and what you think they can handle. Hope Frankie and Vinnie have no bad side effects to the viewing. My first viewing was for a total stranger – a classmate’s father died and we went as a class to pray for him. It wasn’t great, but it did prepare me for later times when I was emotionally involved with the person who died.
My stomach is still a bit iffy, so I am taking it very easy. Yesterday had a dry English muffin for breakfast and munched my way through a sleeve of crackers for most of the day. So far my English muffin today – a little margarine and jelly, is not causing waves. I think I am going to live. Just may not eat Chinese food for a long while.
Everyone have a good day!

Good morning everyone,
Penny- the power company asks to not run big appliances such as washer and dryer during working hours because the demand for air conditioning in offices. I think most of the power got fixed by last night. Not totally sure. Hope your eye appointment goes well.
Lin- I saw on TV last night your storm. Wow!
Dayle- yes, sometimes when we hear other people's troubles, ours do not seems as bad. That's a sad family situation. Glad your tummy is feeling better.
Ate a green salad with chicken and avocado in it for dinner last night. Tested it. Well...still cannot eat salads. Woke up at 4am needing to use bathroom. IBS sucks. Only good side is I lost .8 pound on my scale. WW meeting is tomorrow. Hope it sticks. I feel ok this morning. Will be careful what I eat today.
IBS-D makes it so hard to travel. Even this short trip to Sacramento this weekend will be a little difficult. I need to be so careful with eating and keep anxiety low. Takes to fun out of travel.

Good morning, ladies. Paid all my bills this morning and the rest is mine to play with. Actually have HOA fee and vet visit this month. That kills any play money.
Watched A Dog's Purpose last night, loved it. Cried a bit but it was such a good movie to remind us of our pups and how loving they are.
Need to wash a load and run the dishwasher, I have been putting both off. You all have as super day.

Good morning. I sat and paid bills this morning too. Got another one when the mail came. Still have car insurance but that's an auto withdrawal later in the month.
Put a load of clothes in the washer, guess they're ready for the dryer now. Ozzie is needing a bath and tooth brushing but he's kind of trying to get out of that.
Have to figure out something for supper. Probably use the grill so I don't heat the house too much.
Need to get to the post office for stamps but my tummy is saying not to go too far, maybe later.

Since it is just me and I don't have a grill anymore, I love my George Foreman. I use it out on the work bench in the garage as really don't like the smell of meat anymore. (just like when I was pregnant) have even fixed a steak or a pork chop in it.
It is a bit more humid today, called in a prescription and they need refilled and pharmacy will call my DR to have that done. I do have an appointment next week and remember him saying it would be time for some blood work.
My plantar fasciitis is acting up again. Been has been awhile and pretty sure it is my new cute white sandals. They are flatter and should know better. so not I am icing and doing the exercises I did before. See how that goes. If not a call to my foot Dr and maybe a shot. Darn it really hurt in grocery store today. I got some groceries for my friend that is N. Carolina and plans to stay a few more days. she is with her DD and DGSs . Her husband is doing better than she thought he was, he told me he even went to get gas for the mower. He usually doesn't like to go anywhere. and she does it all for him. UMMM !! Bet he would have gone to grocery store when he needed to. but she is a sweetie and I don't mind doing a favor for her.
Should be getting the lawn mowed today, my lawn guy is on vacation from his regular job so he had a lot of dirt moving to get caught up on but his mowing comes first. I am staying home and resting the foot.

hi,
penny I posted on the sewing thread yesterday about pad. don't know how I got the two threads mixed up.
I have a been living with pad for several years. what they did back then was put blood pressure cuffs in several places.upper arms, wrist, thumbs ,toes and parts I don't don't remember.
they told me the best thing for pad is walking. course now with a hip bugging me that gets hard.
delona was gone last week. so today we made up for it. no y. started out with breakfast and did our bumin.
I can go several days without the floaters then one day they drive me nuts.phyl

Power outage at the college about 2 miles from us. It's 91 right now and don't even want to think about no electricity. The power grids are over loaded.
Went out to SAMs Club to buy water and paper towels. Well, they do not carry the bottled water we like any more. Hopefully Target sells it.
Still feel good so hopefully the salad eating issue is over.

I started PT today and will be going twice a week for a while. It feels better to be doing something proactive about making progress. Healing time was proactive too! It just seemed to take an eternity to heal. hb was so oblivious to what was going on. Lots of swelling and discomfort still.
I've notified my property management company in writing that I'm terminating them. It will interesting to see if the tenant deposits are transferred in a timely manner. I have the keys and should have all the paperwork this week.
Progress!
