Good morning all,
Temperature will be 87* and sunny. We took the truck in yesterday and they didn't get it done until late. Ed's phone does not work right and we did not hear it ring. I started cooking dinner and Ed was napping. Ed called them around 5:50 (they usually close at 6:00) and Ed wanted to drive down (30 miles in rush hour) and get it. I told him we should wait until today and let the mechanics go home. He wasn't happy but he did enjoy his dinner, crab imperial, corn on the cob and fresh string beans. My eye doctor was a half hour late yesterday. I like her but she talks too much. Everything is okay and nothing has gotten any worse, dry eye and cataracts. So I am good for another 6 months.
So today we have to go get the truck and we have choir practice tonight. I also have some forms to fill out and take in to the Benefits Office at Hopkins for signatures.
Have a good one.

Another hot day here. I went out to pick up a script and to Aldi's for dairy products. When I left there my car said it was 95*, and it felt like it. Earlier I had been out on my deck to water my plants, but only a few minutes. My tomatoes love this heat. They are turning red fast, with more coming.
Becki, it’s good that you have both of your vehicles running with AC now, and other business taken care of.
Phyl, when my mom had a car accident they were going to give her license back, but we told them how she often got lost and didn’t know the way home, etc., that we didn't want her to drive any longer. I think back now and remember she was younger than I am now when that happened. I better be careful!! Soon after that she fell in her home (my dad had passed a few years earlier), called for help, spent time in hospital and her doctor said she couldn’t go back home. She spent the next 13 years in a nursing home with severe dementia, and died at 96. We have at least 2 people living here still driving in their 90’s and seem quite capable. Our oldest resident is 99 and still sharp but gave up her car a few years ago willingly.

We are back at our campground home & happy to be here. Doctor appointments are done till we move back to the house this fall. We are healthy & no need to go back till next year.
I had one my aids checked out too. It wasn't working all the time. She changed the wire but said if it happens again she will send the aid back to the company to be checked out. I want this taken care of while I still have free maintenance.
Got my hair cut too. I was long overdue & it's a big difference. Love it short short for summer. DH teases me that mine is shorter then his.
Today was laundry day & I did some watering & sprayed some weeds. I'm tired but guess I earned it.
Tomorrow the RV repair guy is suppose to come & install our new AC & toilet. I will be happy to have that done.
Becki, my phone is going too but I hate to get a new one. I just got a text message from a friend who said she was coming to see me & she's already been here & gone home. A couple weeks ago I couldn't send a text with pictures. DH said it's time I think about a new one.
Phyl, I never heard of a circular ruler. Learn something new every day:)We'll have to think about getting together again before too long - CB in Wis. Dells?? Maybe a Tuesday when I go to WWs for a late breakfast.

After PT I took hb to see his new ophthalmologist. She isn't nearly as eager to do cataract surgery as the doctor who left. The pressure is at an acceptable level. He can read the newspaper and see the TV, so for now the decision is to wait and check in four months. I'm more concerned about possible side effects of anesthesia on his dementia and additional confusion because of drops and blurriness. His health is not particularly good.
The physical therapist that I'm going to is more hands on than my usual one. Much better for working on the foot, I think. My main goals are reducing swelling and improving gait and balance. I'll be going twice a week for a while.
Tomorrow I plan to crochet at quilting! I don't want to do any handpiecing! I may try to think of something I want to appliqué somewhere down the road a bit!
