TOOT, TOOT! CHUG, CHUG, CHUG! Here comes the Train to Thinsville down the track and into your station, so hop on board and enjoy the ride.
This morning it was 72Âş and going up to 92Âş and partly cloudy in the morning followed by scattered afternoon thunderstorms and winds will be light and variable.
Maybe we’ll go to the bank this morning to set up our account here. We still have everything where we moved from and need to make that change. There were too many other things that had to be done yesterday.
We went to the new Kroger here in town and it is really nice, but huge. We didn’t need a lot but it was fun walking around and just looking at the store.
We’re hoping to hear something soon about the freight that we sent. MJ was in touch with the Attorney General’s office and the lady she talked with says it sounds like she has been cheated with the treatment she has received. We hope they will be able to get something done so we can get at least the things they took from the house if not what they left behind.
We called Express Scripts to get the information I needed for my doctor to get me the prescription I need, and things changed now that we are back in Mississippi. I hope he will be able to get it sent in soon.

Good morning!
78Âş to 95Âş today, and a bit humid, but no rain in sight. We'll have to water the grass today. Our summer water bills get pretty high. Today we'll pick up pizzas and meet friends at the home of our domino lady! She will have a hip replacement next Wednesday, and asked for this little "party." She wants company. And distraction, probably. So about 12 or so of us will eat lunch and play with her. We'll have to keep a close eye on her and shut down when she tires. She's 94 years old and a role model for us all!
Doris, you'll get things done as you can. At least you are in a good place. I wish we had a Kroger store. We used to love roaming around the one where we lived in Missouri, but there isn't one here. They carried good stuff back then. Still praying for your things to be found and in your possession.
Have a happy day! Diane

Diane,
The pizza party with the 94 year old lady should be fun. I hope her hip replacement surgery goes well.
The tree men came again this morning. Something broke down yesterday, so they didn't get the tree done. A lot of limbs are already down, but it is a big tree and I suspect they will be here a good part of the day. They left their truck here, so it is sitting in the front yard and that's our view out the kitchen-dining room windows. Its kind of interesting to watch them work.
The landlord told us cutting the grass is our responsibility. We don't have a mower, but DGS Jason said he was going to buy one and do the grass for us. He is such a great guy and has already done a lot for us. He also does some home schooling and MJ hopes he can help the girls with their math since that is one subject she always hated.

Good morning Doris & ATF,
Sunny today. Currently it's 81; the high will be 87 with low humidity.
I have some laundry to do today which should take no time at all to get done. Today is the mass and burial of SIL's sister. I'm not attending because of the distance to drive and my sons are working. It was a long drive yesterday to the wake. I do hope Frankie will be ok. DD said he cried for almost an hour after he saw his Aunt Debbie. He was ok when I got there.
Guess I'll read some in between laundry. Please know Doris that even though I don't mention your problems every day, you are in my prayers every night.
Have a great day everyone!

Emily,
I understand you don't want the long drive to go to the mass and burial of your SIL's sister. I know it is hard for kids to understand things like this - and even for adults too.
I appreciate your prayers for our family too.

Doris, those big trees take time to get down! So far we've had to have four trees removed -- three of them big. I sat and watched the workers a good bit of the time. It is fascinating. Do you remember mowing with the old push mowers -- no gasoline? I saw one advertised in the paper not long ago! I think it was about $100 or so.
Emily, I understand your not wanting to make that long drive. You went to the wake and that showed your respect and concern. I'll pray for Frankie.

Diane,
I was in the middle of posting a reply to you, and it disappeared somewhere in Nevernever land I guess. I'll try again. I'm glad we don't have to pay for the removal of this tree. There are 4 or 5 men working on it and it looks like a two day job.
I remember using the push mowers when we were kids. It was always a big job.

We no longer have to mow as we are in an association but Dave and I or the kids did all the mowing and we had a gas powered mower. I do remember the manual push mowers and if too got to high it was almost impossible to push! Mowing the grass wasn't high on dad's priority list and we shared a mower with the uncle's families. So we could almost play hide and seek in the grass before it got mowed. LOL
Doris it is good that you have your son there to help you now.
Today we may go to the DMV with Abel and try to get his learner's permit. First he needs his apartment key, my sister has it and isn't answering the phone. Then he needs to go to his apartment and try to find where his mom keeps his birth certificate and if he finds it then finally we can go the the DMV and he needs to pass a written test and present the three other things he needs to prove he's really who he says he is! So with all that wish us luck!
So hot today, the clothes are drying in a hurry! Doris did you ever get the washing situation worked out?

Helen,
My son Ken is disabled and can't do a lot, but Jason (DDIL Joyce's son and my DGS) is helping with a lot of things.
I hope you can find everything you need for Abel to get his learner's permit.

Quiet day here today, resting my foot, and glad the errands are done this morning. My Plantar Fasciitis is acting up again. Oh oh must be the new white sandals, they are flatter than my other shoes. Darn they are really cute.
It is a beautiful day and can go out in the shade and read my book.
Doris I misunderstood, thought the movers had taken everything in the house even the stuff that MJ wanted left there. Gosh this sounds like a long drawn out affair and hope for a good result.

Connie,
I'm sorry your plantar fasciitis is causing problems and I hope it won't keep up since you like those new shoes. Enjoy your time reading outside in the shade.
