Good morning.
Madrid is where I've dreamed of going since I was in 5th grade, Debbie. We're still talking about going there next year for our 15th anniversary.
One good choice at a time, Brenda. That's how I handle vacations. I'll still make a stunning number of bad choices, but at least I feel like I'm in control by remaining mindful.
Heat broke overnight and it's downright pleasant out today.

Hi, Louis - thanks for the start. Let me know if you are coming to Spain. It would be great to get together.
Five hour train ride today. Didn't sleep enough. Bilbao is beautiful! There are hills and trees and it is only 26C outside.

Good morning
Lou, thanks for the start and tip. I need to work on one thing at a time instead of feeling overwhelmed on working on it all at once. Especially when away from home.
Debbie, you and Ted are all over Spain! Enjoy today.
Waving to Vicki, Lori, and Virginia
Headed to the Mall to return something and will walk around it for a bit to get some much needed steps in.

Hi,
Thanks for starting us, Lou. I like your approach to making choices while traveling, and it's what I also do. It's inevitable that there will be some choices that are less than ideal but minimizing them is the key.
Hi, Debbie. Enjoy your travels. I need to get with you sometime to figure out a good time to visit. I had April 2020 earmarked, because it will give more time for Beth to budget, plus she gets an extra week of vacation starting in 2020. For myself I need to budget both $ and vacation time. Most of my vacation time is allocated toward seeing the DGDs these days.
Hi, Brenda. I am sorry that the heat kept you from being able to attend the entire funeral service for Maddie. There must have been too many people for the A/C system to keep up with. 400 people is a lot to have in one space. Enjoy your time away with your friend and remember one choice at a time. I understand getting overwhelmed, I also have to remind myself that one step at a time gets it done.
Today is my last day off. DS#2 and I drove back home on Sunday. It was actually about 1:15 am on Monday when I got home. It was a loooong day. I am glad that both DS do well with driving later in the day. When DS#1 and I were traveling back from Pensacola on Saturday night, I dozed several times. The same thing happened on Sunday night when DS#2 was driving. I had a long shift of driving in late morning through early evening. It was good to have another driver. DS#2 had a great time at his convention and I got a nice bonus of having more 1:1 time with DS#1 because of the Pensacola trip. I usually don't get much time with just him on the visits since the little ones arrived. DS#2 also had a great time with his nieces and it was definitely mutual.
I got a 5 mi WATP + resistance band w/o in this morning. I made my 10K step goal every day except Saturday and Sunday. I did better on those days than I thought I would, especially on Sunday. I am going to a birthday celebration for DSis this evening. Speaking of making good choices, I'm going to scope out the menu in advance.
Waving hi to Vicki and Lori, hope you are both doing well.
Take care, Ginia
