Good Morning Marm and LTMs,
This morning it was 65º and going up to 93º and sunny with light and variable winds.
I don’t know if there are any special plans for today, so I’ll just wait and see what comes up.
Yesterday DGS Jason came with his lawnmower and he and Hannah did the back yard and he worked on trimming the small amount of grass in the front yard with a weed eater. It was really hot and muggy, so they were glad to get that finished and have a bottle of water.
We found out that school starts quite a bit earlier here than in Nebraska, but we don’t know the exact date yet. I think MJ will be working on that today.
MAXINE CALENDAR: Thurs 7/26: I need a vacation, but the only tropical thing I can afford is an air freshener.
PEANUTS CALENDAR: THE DAILY EXTRA: Thurs 7/26: THE DAILY EXTRA: World Traveler Factoid: For an extra day of vacation, Americans would give u the following for a week: 40 percent say they’d give up coffee, 26 percent would practice celibacy, 49 percent would abstain from imbibing, 47 percent would take a break from social media, and a stinky 11 percent would ditch soap. Time to sit and rest for awhile before going back to work again later. We had WM shopping to do after we had breakfast at VI. Busy morning at work. It's been a long day. I'm tired. It didn't help getting woke up at 3:45 this morning with a text from Bipp and then I couldn't get back to sleep. She said she's OK. Computer problems again.

Rather quiet day here. Guess I'm recuperating from earlier this week.
I planted the Shasta daisy, that DD gave me, this morning. DH helped with the digging. It's hard to dig a hole in sand - it just keeps filling up, & of course we always run into so many tree roots of various sizes. Now it's done & looks great near the black eye-susan & coneflowers.
It was so nice when we walked. Now it is overcast. I think we have a chance of rain but I'll believe it when it gets here. Last night we had storms forecasted - some possibly severe - & we never got a drop. I haven't watered today but will have to tomorrow if we don't get a good amount of rain. I expect that I'll be watering! I will walk again later to get another mile & have a total of 3 miles again today.
BBL to see who else stops by....

No rain here either, and very little yesterday. It didn’t even hit my deck and plants.
Tonight we have a potluck and Mexican Train for those who stay after. Tomorrow I pick up DGD for lunch and an afternoon of knitting with others. She will be staying overnight and I’ll help her get to and from work this weekend. Lots of extra driving, but my DD (her mom) will come here every day to visit my cat when I go for a week +. This is all for today.

Here's where we are at. W/DH' he's like in middle of like mild, to worse. But not the worse, Anyhow we ask some questions, and DH thinks he will go w/radiation, First he will get CT Scan and Bone Scan THURSDAY- Aug. 2, Now these is to see if its moved anywhere else. So we really don't know that yet. But if DH gets the Radiation it will be like twice a week for 6 weeks, But it kills Cancer... Other ways is to contain it so it doesn't move and watch it is like a pill or something. We WILL See the Dr. Aug. 10. To find out results of these last tests. And I will ask questions all over again and write what Dr' says. so it is clear for Dad and myself. but going forward whatever is done is an appt. w/another Dr. that will do what needs to be done w/what DH decides..... Will ask even more questions. But we both feel comfortable about everything.

Both you and DH will be in my prayers as he undergoes the tests.
I hope all will go well with the tests coming up.

Marm, yes there are many ways of treating prostate cancer and what is used depends on a lot of things. Some of them are the patient's age, type of prostate cancer, if it's spread (metastasized) anywhere and where to and several other factors I can't think of right now. As you've I'm sure heard they sometimes do surgery, sometimes chemo, sometimes radiation, and sometimes radioactive seed implant, sometimes hormone therapy.Sometimes, if it's a slow growing cancer they don't do any treatment at all.
I found what Rose Marie said interesting about her husband's prostate cancer. Since he was in good health they treated his she said. My third brother has prostate cancer and he found out about 5 years ago. He's only 69 years old and in very good health so I don't know why they didn't treat his as they did Rose Marie's dh. They told him that since it's the slow growing kind he didn't need treatment. He also is young acting for 69 because he married late and still has young children. My oldest brother had it also and they did radioactive seed implant.

Doris, Thank you. I'm sure your yard looks better w/the cut.DH always admires ours once its mowed.
Gareth*,Wow that time again for you going to VI. Are you getting better service? Sorry about the text. do you keep things going all night? I was thinking they would be turned off. Anyhow thanks for info from Bipp, now at least know why not posting.
Marlene*, Boy you do have a lot of sand. Didn't have any idea so bad.
Mary, Enjoy the potluck and time w/GD.
Seems like harder for so many to post anymore. Sleep well Friends...

Ruth, Yes, DH ask what if he decided not to do anything? Dr. said he could do that and could watch it and if more goes then do something. And said we don't know if anything would happen so what he decides. Dr. said it depends. So will know more later. Will see if it hasn't spread.
Nite~~`
