Maija and Debbie left about an hour ago. Fred and Bailey got up to say goodbye and have gone back to bed and Bridgette has taken her spot in the chair on the porch. They said it'll take about nine hours to get to where they're going and will be back Monday night.
Debbie found out from her attorney the court session in Wednesday is like a divorce case cattle call. 30 cases will be heard and it's just to either give relief or not and nothing will really get done as they have about five minutes each and you don't know when you will be called up so you go and wait. But she said Jeff's attorney still has not given his financial disclosure and it was due to them two days ago and nobody involved in the farm sale will talk to them. Guess they don't realize that even though Debbie can't claim any of the money since it's a trust they still have the right to know as it lets the court know he's financially sound and doesn't need alimony. One thing is if he does get alimony he will have to pay child support and that money would be deducted each month from the alimony. Also even if he isn't given alimony he is responsible for half her high school tuition and also half of the tuition for any college she decides to go to whether it's a junior college or four year and is responsible for that until she's finished. I think he will be very surprised when he learns that as he feels he shouldn't pay child support or any other expenses of his daughter! Debbie said her attorney showed her some figures and with the difference in the value of her car vs his truck and attorney expenses he took from their bank account the only money she would have to give him as a buyout of the house at the most would be $58,000 and we know he's expecting much more than that but apparently when figuring house value for one spouse buying out the other it's based on assessed tax value not market value and that's always much lower. Plus with the money in the joint bank account she shouldn't have to pay anything up to the time the divorce is granted. She told her attorney she would just like the judge to say how long if alimony is granted and just pay it all up front and be done with it. She told Debbie she doesn't recommend that as the divorce probably won't be final until the end of the year and by then his mother, being in her 90's, could pass and that money along with the money from the sale of the farm could cancel any alimony as he would be financially better off than she is and if she pays it all up front she would not get it back but by paying monthly it would just stop. The bad thing is it looks like until the divorce is final he will probably be allowed to remain in the house as the court would say nobody is stopping Debbie and Maija from moving back in the house with him. Debbie said that man is up on criminal charges of assaulting two minors and our daughter is one of the main witnesses at his trial and you're saying they see no reason we should not live with him until the divorce is final? That's just ridiculous! Her attorney agreed but said that's how the court will probably see it. I hope she won't try for the apartment as by staying here she can save money and since it will be done at the latest by the end of the year I think she can hang in for that long. But we'll see how next Wednesday goes.
I have a haircut this morning and then might get to Costco.
Jane I'm so sorry to hear about Don and all that you have ahead of you. Keeping you both in my prayers.

Good Morning!
Today we are going to Shelburne VT. It is about a 2 hr drive. Lots to do up there and the weather will be nice. Bad storms expected tonight.
Last night we stayed up late playing Mexican Train (dominos). I am a little tired.
Karen, I have a WW friend (also WW leader) that lived in Green River WY until she retired this year. She was formerly from Xenia OH.
Jane, Mike got the shots in his spine at The spine Dr. He only had a couple and didn’t notice much difference but one of my friends swears by them.
Sandy, For Debbie the not-knowing is the hardest part. I hope this is over for her soon.

Good morning!
It really cooled off here during the night and it will be in the 70s for the next several days. The sun is shining and it will be a gorgeous day.
This morning I'm taking Jerry to the doctor to get the stent removed from his surgery last week. He'll be happy to get rid of it and get back to normal. This afternoon I have a much needed hair cut/color appointment.
Sandy, I hope all goes well next Wednesday for your daughter.
Jane, I'm so sorry for all you and your husband are going through right now. I'll keep you both in my prayers.
Ruth, it sounds like you're having a wonderful time. Enjoy!

Greetings;
We're on the road... later than usual but we're moving.
Vicki, glad that DH is doing well. A cooler day is welcome. I got a haircut before we'r left. Time to wash it so i can make it my own.
I picked up a winery brochure. After lunch i think we'll stop at one. In Idaho.
Jane, i think about how things are going for you. Hope things ease up.
At the WW meeting i heard about a water Aquarium app that monitors water and can be scheduled to go off and remind you to drink.
I downloaded it. The problem with drinking water and traveling is they aren't really compatible! I think that will work out when we are not traveling. So, i haven't decided if this app will work for me, but thought I'd share it. See how it works for you if it seems useful.
Idaho!

Good morning. My DD #2 called me at nine and woke me from a very deep sleep. I guess I was truly exhausted, AGAIN! All my break sold at the Farmers Market yesterday. Boys had a good time there and each got a Hat made for support of farmers.
Jane I am so sorry that you and Don have such a rough time ahead. Prayers for both of you.
Sandy one thing is certain in divorce, you never know until its over. Every time I met things were different. I hope for the best for your family/
Ruth and Karen C enjoy the vacation and trips.
Sharon, where are you?? I know traveling, but hope to hear from you.
Last day that my boys are together. One will go to mom's today and the other meet his dad on the road tomorrow morning. It has been fun and right now they are playing and watching a movie. Just enjoying being together. Lunch at home today as we have a lot to clean out and a watermelon to cut. Starting tomorrow I will be back on my schedule for eating, house work, yard work, sewing, etc, etc. etc. I will miss them, but it will be a good miss.
Our humidity has dropped some and we are in the 80's not the 90's as most of June and july were very high. Hope to enjoy this outdoors later today. Good friend has a birthday today, but because it is last day with boys, I will be baking her a strawberry shortcake on Monday, and taking it into work for co-workers to share. I use a flan pan and layer cakes with berries and whipped cream in between layers, then frost with whipped cream. One of my favorites, but requested by DF for her birthday. Needless to say I am happy to do that.

Thank you all. I don't have much time to be on here. I have done all my exercises and the pool. I have been on the phone canceling bridge at my house on Monday--so many phone calls today. I have been able to get a Dr. appointment for Mon afternoon with the kidney Dr. and I have had to call the cardiologist and talked to the kidney Dr. office twice. I think I have made or gotten about 9 calls. Now I have got to do some things here that have to be done.
However I was headed to the pool and saw a limo across from my house--as long as a bus--never saw such a long one. Stan told me his family would be visiting. I thought it must be the president !!

Beautiful weather in Iowa the past few days. Think it will be back in the 80's in a day or two. Got a couple outside projects completed yesterday. Today been waiting for DH to go get me some gas to clean paint brushes with. Am going to finally get the lower deck re-stained. Cleaned it real good yesterday. He just left for gas but will have his coffee time before returning.
What a lovely picture Sharon. Yes I noticed you waved yesterday. Thank you for doing that. Sorry at my age my eyesight is not good enough to see 12 miles. Above all enjoy your family time.
Jane I was watching Tru Country on RFDTV which is country music and the people in crowd were dancing. Not line dancing . Polka Party will be on later but I watch another show at that time, they also polka dance. You and Don are definitely in my prayers. Sorry for all the appointment's you have to get to but hope they render a little relief for Don.
Karen and Ruth appears you both are having lovely trips.
Not sure the teen's and I will get our "Road Trip" day in this fall. All are now in High School and seems their extra activities are starting to create a scheduling problem. The girls are both in band and their band camp is for several days from 7:45 till noon. Not sure as to how they are to get there and back as parents will be working. And as of late we will not let them walk. There have been 40 people in Iowa missing in 10 days. Perhaps Gpa and I will be on road duty.
Vicki hope your hubby is feeling better with the stint removal. Hoping for no more stones or a long while. Geri, did you fear there would be Bread left over. I think not. Most people know a good baker when they see one. Sandy, good luck with the divorce proceedings. The divorce will be final eventually but when there is a child it sort of tends to be a lifetime involvement. Gail, how are you holding up? You are covering a lot of ground house hunting but I do see some fun times in there also. Take care.
Better sew a few stitches while waiting for DH to get back.

Sharon You look wonderful---great picture.
I made 2 more phone calls. I can't believe we got another bill from the flight when they care flighted Don 2 years ago. I called them before and left a message telling them to get the money from the travel insurance. I no longer have that info. So I called again today and again left them a message. What kind of collection/billing office is not in mid afternoon weekday. The other call I made was to a life insurance company and talked to a nice young man who knew I was not in a good mood...so good to not mess with me!!!
I managed to actually fix dinner and I sprayed the weeds that are growing in the lanai again. I hate those brick pavers. I cleaned out the fridge and swept both walk in closets. I am trying to do things that the cleaning women don't do but I did clean one bathroom and managed to turn on the jets in that tub and spray water on the wall!! We did not pay for that tub and it was put in accidentally--should have been just a tub and not jetted one. In Ohio I got a fireplace in my house that I hadn't paid for. (liked the fireplace better than the tub)
I have decided that the cleaning women must change the fridge setting when they clean the stainless steel front. So I will now check that after they leave. They called yesterday saying they would be here today. No it is only 2 weeks and I am up to having them every 6 weeks since money is tight and I do cleaning when I can work it in.
Even though Don is doing nothing he had a better day I think. He mostly sat and read and played on his computer but he did fix his own salad for dinner and fed Kelcy. He read over half a book today.
It amazes me that you all care more about how we are then Don's family. I refuse to even send them an email about this business of the DR. saying Don needs to be on dialysis. His youngest GS are seniors this year and I don't think we will get an invitation to graduation. We never got one from the other 3. I really wanted 5 kids but I think I did much better with my 1 then Don did with his 5.
So again I thank you all!
