Good Morning Marm and LTMs,
This morning it was 68º and going up to 87º and partly cloudy with a stray shower or thunderstorm possible and winds NNW at 5-10 mph. The temperature is down a bit, but the humidity is still pretty high, so it feels warmer.
MJ has to go to Jackson today to pick up copies of the girls’ birth certificates for their schools. Fortunately, they were all born here so their records will be available for school registration. That was another thing the movers took that they weren’t supposed to take. She plans to take the girls with her they will go to the Children’s Museum there.
Yesterday MJ’s computer stopped working so she and Hannah took it to a repair place. They said it looks like it will take a while to figure out what is going on with it and it will be there at least over the weekend. I’ll be sharing mine with everyone, so I probably won’t be online as much for a while.

PEANUTS CALENDAR: THE DAILY EXTRA: Fri 7/27: none today, just a picture to color for relaxation.

Marm, I hope we stay here. I need you all! Sometimes I’m slow getting here but that doesn’t mean I’m disinterested. I know some of us post other places, too, but this one is my base. There is much on the Internet now, some I use, but not as much as some others. Soon I need to leave for my knitting afternoon. See you later....

Marm,
I agree with Mary, that I always look for your post and want to hear what everyone is doing and how their weight loss is going.
Right now I can only say I've been maintaining within the same few pounds for a long time, but I haven't been seriously trying to lose weight. My doctor feels this is a good weight for me so I'll keep working to keep it here.

Good morning, all LTMs,
No, Marm, I don't think it's loss of interest. I didn't make it yesterday because I was gone from 8 A.M. to later in the evening. I had WW in Port Charlotte, a stop at Sam's, home to put away the groceries, off to lunch w/my Lunch Bunch, back home and then off w/ DH for some other errands. I was just too tired to get on the computer. I did manage a tiny loss at WW, just .2, but better than a .2 gain.
Doris, MJ's computer issues remind me that I need to call Geek Squad for their advice. Microsoft insists it WILL install an update to my Windows 10. it has FAILED SIX, yes, SIX, times! But. I am getting the message that it's ready to install again! I keep saying remind me later, but eventually, it will force me to choose a time. It ties up my computer for HOURS, then has to restore it to "the previous version" of Windows 10. The update is just fluff, not security, things I'll never use anyway, so really don't want them. Some of the folks who've had problems w/ the install find they can't open their computers after it's finished & fails. I want to say LEAVE ME ALONE!
Ruth, I'm surprised they didn't give your brother the option of treating. My DH could have said no, but both his urologist & cancer specialist recommended he do the seeding. I don't know that would have happened here in FL, since his urologist here said DH is one of the few for whom this seeding has had such great results, even sending a letter to his oncologist in DE. It might be because in DE, his oncologist was head of the cancer center at the major hospital there, and he was an early proponent of this seeding & one of the best at doing it. Not sure if he would have recommended it if DH had been Herb's age. That has so much to do w/ treatment.
Well, we trimmed hibiscus again this morning. They do look good right now. I had DH let ME trim the fronts where most of the blooms are. He likes to use his big trimmer, I prefer being more "gentle". The workers are at the house build next door, and are doing some kind of sanding. The dust was awful earlier. Hoping they just finish ASAP!
Our restaurant for Lunch Bunch yesterday was on Beach Road, within a few miles of our public beach. Oh, Lord, please say a prayer for us, that this awful red tide is over soon. The smell is awful, you start to cough as soon as you breathe it in, and the businesses are dying. No one is going to the beach, no one is renting kayaks or jet skis, no one is going to the restaurants. Since it's a naturally occurring algae, there's no way to prevent it, we just have to hope it stays off shore. We need a good strong East wind!
Have a great afternoon!
Rose Marie

Marm, we all lead busy lives so sometimes it's hard getting here every day. If I'm not here doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. I know I feel obligated to try and post every day so lots of times all I have time for is a sentence or two. Enough so you know all is well. No, I don't shut my phone down at night. I do leave it on the charger overnight in my office so I don't hear it from the bedroom. My Fitbit vibrates with incoming texts so that's what woke me up. Usually no one would ever text at that time of the night unless it was an emergency and would call instead which would vibrate my Fitbit too. In an emergency I would want to be woke up. I wear my Fitbit all the time since it also tracks my sleeping. I also use the alarm on it too. It vibrates my wrist so it doesn't wake DH up like an alarm clock would. Usually though I'm always awake before the alarm anyway. With your DH I'm sure each case is treated differently and also depends on the Dr. I'm praying for good results like so many others have had.
My day off. Just finished the laundry and I'm taking a break before tackling something else. It was chilly walking this morning. Only 56º Almost wish I'd had sleeves but I warmed up by time we got home. Only 74º predicted for today. Sure doesn't feel like July weather. More September like.

Marm, sometimes I just don't have much to say as my life is pretty much the same most of the time but I do love the comraderie on here. I post only on this and one other thread. I love to hear how everyone is doing and there ware great people on this thread that I would hate to lose track of.
It's cool here today too. Hopefully just a little break in summer weather. Since summer is always so short and winter very long I really enjoy the warmth while it's here.
Gareth I was going to ask you about that. I don't have a smart phone so know nothing at all about them. I think that many if not most people have fitbits. I don't have one of those either. so my question is, if I email someone or send a private facebook message does that make the fitbit vibrate too? Does it make the smart phone signal a call when you email or send a pm? I have often sent emails or pm's later at night thinking that the person will see them the next day when they check their email or facebook. So if emails and pm's are going to make phones signal or fitbits vibrate I better stop doing that so my question is do they do that or do the fitbits vibrate and phone make it's call or text signal only when you actually call or text?
Doris, I thought that probably was going to happen that the schools would require a certified birth certificate not just a copy. And I was wondering how the movers got the personal papers. I wonder if it was intentional to get ahold of your personal info. Were all the other personal papers such as marraige certificates, social security info, bank info in there also. All this has to be a huge strain on you and MJ
Marm, whatever treatment Herb gets or if he elects no treatment I will and I'm sure everyone else will be praying

My Fitbit just vibrates with incoming texts or calls not emails or FB pm's. My phone does ping with incoming emails and a different alert for pm's which doesn't bother me overnight since it's in my office. At work or depending where I am I put my phone on silent so as not to be disturbed. I'm like you too that I don't always have that much to say as my life is pretty much the same most of the time. I always say you know what I'm doing by what day of the week it is!

"It's beautiful day in my neighborhood" Weather like this could last forever IMO.
My reasons for not posting or only short posts have all been mentioned. How many ways can I write that I washed clothes, shopped or watered? Life is so routine but I will be bold & truthful, though perhaps crass, some days I just don't want to get involved in the conversation cause I feel it's too easy to be mis-read, so I refrain from commenting at all. I probably said more then I should have now. I remember Marm saying one time when I first started on here, this is how I am, take it or leave it. That's not a quote & I think we were talking about how we dress at that time. However, it fits my opinion that you can't be me & I can't be you. I do what's best for us but that may not be best or fully understood why by anyone else. If the thread wasn't here I would miss my friends.
Bipp called me this afternoon. Yes she is having computer problems & the internet was down today. They were coming today to fix that. She was going to buy a new computer but a friend said she would look at it. The Geek Squad told her it was Microsoft's problem. Her friend they (GS) can work on that. I asked her if she felt the GS was blowing off an older person & she said she sort of felt that way. She may have been dealing with a bad rep.
Marm, I had been wondering when DH would be hearing more about treatment. You guys are in my prayers & will be till the all clear is given. Thanks for the star - better late then never & it wasn't really that late at least I haven't gained it back yet!!
Nothing else of importance. Jeopardy came on so I'm going to watch it with DH.

Well a big thank you ~~~!!!! "U" ALL gave me answers I was hoping to hear. I know we are all busy. Kinda feels like coming and going and still more to do. No end. right? right! I can't say I was to busy today. Had a couple runs to do while DH gone. Took good share of time after he left. but now I'm just dragging my butt. And loads to get to yet. DIL will call right away in the morning to go over to our church for the Free Garage sale. She said she was a sz. 22, that sound right? now anyhow is a 16. how happy that makes me feel as she's real short, So a big deal w/that loss to. And still losing. Talking hubby said something "I was thinking shop floor worse than what it was. And wondered if better to replace the tiles instead lay floors," Heck Yes~~ I was thinking he tossed the LO tiles, but have plenty. so I hope clean-up the floor and really good so as close as can be to match tiles to be laid. They are brighter, but just checking one old one cleaned, comes close. YES!! But I will put hubby to work wringing out the mop or rags to. Also that big table DH/DS will haul it over to the court as ask DS if knew who might want it? Fast answer back and neighbor would love to have it for her Garage Sales...
Doris, Good thing a copy of the girls Birth Cert .on the school papers. Thinking back, I bet you know what would have done guys packing up everything? We all have after thoughts. Hope MJ's computer an easy fix. Not a big deal w/losing, And when DR ,.says stay where at that's should be.
Mary, I think you said have GD today and taking her w/you.
Rose Marie*, Ah ST*R for you. Good job! Wow, I can remember way back when update on mine to never did complete. Like you said took hr's. And I was one big problem to get anywhere. I had to take it to the shop. think there was a worm, Or something like that. Should tell you a friend of mine bought a Red Hibiscus for her Deck in a planter. A big surprise was one morning there was a big Yellow Flower, Hmmm? Next morning there was pink one, Hmmmm, again there was a Red one, every morning she runs out to see what color next. I was thinking there was still one other color. Its beautiful. Is that Red Tide from dead fish?
Gareth*, OK, DH puts his phone to be charged and is finished right away. but that might be because he doesn't use it much. I guess w/my problem w/sleeping sometimes I couldn't wear a FB to bed. That advertisement about maybe a pill or something help you sleep. shows man/woman laying in bed dancing AND TOSSING AND TURNING. DH SAID "THAT's 'US." hA,HA. wups hit caps, Sorry.
Ruth, Thank you for prayers. Think all this is harder on DD than us.
Marlene*, Bipp called here to. but the phone number she gave is not what I get. Hope she gets computer fixed. No fun being disconnected. Trying to remember what I said. didn't ever remember saying that. But then I did, I think at the bottom of postings I added ( I don't pretend to be who I am, I am who I am,) "that was really meant for --someone on the board that was taking my 'real name', only spelled different. He didn't know how I spelled mine. but had his own thread and acting like a woman. It was pretty weird, And things I know happening to him and DW, wrote on his thread so., And saying things. Yes I do know who it is... Makes it worse,

Marm, you have my curiosity really going now about the man who had a thread and pretended to be a woman. I've heard of men doing that for "other purposes" on a different type of place. I've had some trouble with some people on the old boards but as far as I know I haven't run into any men pretending to be women but then you never know. The admins here do a great job so if you have any problem just let them know.
I do have to say that I'm almost never busy so that's never my excuse. Lazy, yes, busy , no. Sometimes I blab a lot and other days just don't have much to say.
Today I did laundry too. Didn't water the plants because I thought it was going to rain but it didn't and now it's dark and too many mosquitoes so if the plants wilt some they'll just wilt because I'm not going out there and get eaten. I got bit in five places about 2 months ago...don't know what it was that bit but the marks are still there after all this time
I also cooked and baked today.
Marlene, I'm one that probably offends people because of the reason you said....what we write can be interpreted in many ways since people don't actually see us talking in person so miss the body language and the tone of voice. Marm hasn't tossed me off the thread yet though so I guess I'm not doing too bad.
