TOOT, TOOT! CHUG, CHUG, CHUG! Here comes the Train to Thinsville into your station, so hop on board and enjoy the ride.
This morning it was 68º and going up to 87º and partly cloudy with a stray shower or thunderstorm possible and winds NNW at 5-10 mph. The temperature is down a bit, but the humidity is still pretty high, so it feels warmer.
MJ has to go to Jackson today to pick up copies of the girls’ birth certificates for their schools. Fortunately, they were all born here so their records will be available for school registration. That was another thing the movers took that they weren’t supposed to take. She plans to take the girls with her they will go to the Children’s Museum there.
Yesterday MJ’s computer stopped working so she and Hannah took it to a repair place. They said it looks like it will take a while to figure out what is going on with it and it will be there at least over the weekend. I’ll be sharing mine with everyone, so I probably won’t be online as much for a while.

Hope MJ gets the computer fixed in a hurry and not too expensive. always something isn't it.
I am going in to help DD today and with foot doing fine sure I will be able to help more than last couple of times. But first lunch with my neighbor to try out one of the salads at our local place. I am near by DDs house so if she needs me I will be available. Hoping to get all the painting done this weekend. They might be able to start showing the house even if we are not finished with the outside work they want to do. They have pressure washed the house so that is good thing and need a new front storm door but that is easy fix just more money!!!
Here at home I have a rope type clothes line that I hate and going to see if I can find a wire one. They stay tight and don't sag. Will check our new Busy Beaver place and if they don't have one will check on amazon. It is kind of like a dog run wire. My DSIL will have to put it up for me. but sure he will. won't take much more than 5 minutes if I can find one. love my clothes line for sheets, blankets and throw rugs this time of year.

Connie,
Enjoy lunch out with your neighbor. I hope you like the salad you decide to try.
I'm glad your foot is feeling better and you will be able to help DD with the house they are working on and hope it will sell quickly for her. It sounds like they have put a lot of work into getting it ready to sell.
Were you able to find the kind of clothesline you want? I hope your DSIL will be able to help put it up for you.

I think our summer of taking care of children is over for the summer as Matt's kids are with their oldest cousin today. And then they are getting ready for school but do have a short vacation planned with their dad to World's of Fun at the end of next week. Tate is going to be here a few days next week but he takes care of himself. I got the bed ready and that's all I need to do. It has been fun to watch them grow in height and maturity.
Tomorrow we are planning to head west and have only a small idea where we'll end up.
Yesterday we did go to the Baker's candy outlet and the kids had lots of fun picking out candy. Our Japanese friends also picked out candy but their English is still limited and our grandchildren's Japanese is non existant so they didn't communicate much.
I'm sorry that MJ's computer is in the hospital. Hope that it is easily fixed and won't cost too much. That is terrible that the moving company is holding all your important papers and irreplaceable things.
We had such a nice morning we opened the windows this morning as it's cooler outside than inside. Almost springlike today.

Helen,
I enjoyed reading your newsy post. You have had a very busy summer and its good to hear you and Dave are going to have a bit of a holiday too. Enjoy your trip wherever you happen to go. I'm sure you will have fun.
I'm sure you'll enjoy having Tate with you next week after you get back from your trip west. It will be nice for you to have a guest that can take care of himself.

Hi!
Whew! All our various running is finished for the day. I am worn out! John's theater camp performance was really good and we enjoyed it very much. They have another performance this evening, and then the session is over. This evening, we'll have leftover pizza and just chill.
I'm glad MJ made arrangements to get the girls' birth certificates. Another step toward a normal life. My DD (a school librarian) says the first scholarship deadline is in October -- for a Horatio Alger Award. It involves an essay showing need, which Hannah's circumstances would be ideal for. It is a very good award. She'll be asked to write essays for most of the scholarships, and if she is smart, she'll write one good essay and tweak it for each application. Most need to be in by January. Sorry to harp on this, but I love that girl and want her to have it!
Have a happy evening. Diane

Diane,
I'm glad you enjoyed John's theater camp performance. It sounds like that would be a fun camp for the kids.
Thank you for your kind words about my family. We definitely want the best for them. I'll give Hannah the information about scholarships and particularly the Horatio Alger award. I know she wants to go to college and will be looking for scholarships. She may already know where to look for some of them, but others I will be happy to tell her about.
