I recently decided to give FS a try, after having dropped WW right before Smart Points were introduced. I've been successful maintaining from when I stopped, but still have weight I need to lose.
I really, really don't like FS, for many reasons. I also don't feel the online program is worth the money. But all this is beside the point of my post.
I cancelled online. Two clicks, and I was done. So different from the bad old days when you had to do the dance with the customer service trying to talk you into not cancelling.
Time to give PP and ITrackBites a good try.

“Absolutely, we’ll get right on that, just give us your full name, address, phone number and credit card number.”

So different from the bad old days when you had to do the dance with the customer service trying to talk you into not cancelling. Time to give PP and ITrackBites a good try. Interesting. I think they finally figured out that by the time most people got to the "cancel" stage they had very little success retaining them. I subscribe to eMeals, a menu/recipe/shopping list service. They have auto-renew (who doesn't these days). I could not find my auto renew date or any information in my account online, so I called them to ensure that it doesn't auto-renew. In the process I informed them of a new California law which requires web businesses who use auto-renew to do to things: 1) have auto-renew default to OFF; and, 2) provide a method to cancel auto-renew online as an account setting without requiring a phone call to customer service and speakiong with a retention specialist. The CS rep was very interested and made sure to get all the info so she could pass it on to their management—businesses don't usually want to run amuck of California (or New York) laws!

Hm, maybe we should tell Sirius XM about that. We got a 5 month good deal that auto-renews after 5 months at the regular price. Which is so not worth it. And you have to call to cancel. So every five months my DH calls and cancels, and every time they give us another 5 month good deal. We mark it on the calendar so we don't accidentally auto-renew.

Sirius/XM may be sophisticated enough to actually have the on-line cancellation for California residents. I know the game they plan (like Xfinity); only when my "deal" expired when had my BMW and I called, they never offered me a deal nor did they do any marketing to me afterwords to try to woo me back.

We had a similar experience, and then we took the car (Honda) to the dealer for service. One of the "perks" was a couple of months of XM. When we went to cancel that, we started getting these "special" prices.

Same thing happened when I called to cancel my Time magazine subscription. I had the subscription for over 40 years and when I said I wanted to cancel the rep said, "okay". No offers, no questions about why, nothing. Just, "okay". I've never heard from them again. Shows what kind of state that print magazines is in.

Maybe a bit OT, several years ago I re-uped my membership, and when my charge card statement arrived I
noticed I had been charged twice.. took the matter up with local meeting facility, they could not do anything, refereed me to an 800 number, they could not help, then given a number in New York, I had to send NY paperwork galore. After the issue was resolved, maybe 3 or so months later, coupons arrived for WW products purchased where I attend meeting ALL had expired.
One of my father's caregivers was interested in WW a few years ago. I took her to sign up; they wouldn't take cash. So I used my CC and was assured that they would not put it on autopay. The caregiver never really followed through with meetings, and ultimately moved on. Later I discovered that I was, indeed, being charged for her membership. I had a battle royal with WW. They would not cancel because it was not MY account, and they saw no logic that as the owner of the CC I should be able to cancel the card off of that account. I took it to the bank and got a partial credit, but they would not reverse charges past 60 days. I think I had tn have the card processed as stolen in order to get the charges to stop.

Well, many print magazines are in the state of electronic. I don't subscribe to magazines any more; all of the libraries around here have a service called RB Digital which has electronic versions of many, many magazines. I "check them out" electronically, with no expiration date. And I get an email from RB Digital's system when new issues of those I like are available. Absolutely free. Just one example of how public libraries have evolved to stay relevant in today's connected world.

I dropped it yesterday in favor of a combination of MyFitnessPal and itrackbites. I never use the "connect" feature, there is way too much spam on it (hey I sell xxxx), and I find it hard to follow (maybe I'm getting old lol). I have my old Momentum cookbooks, and a couple of old Points ones. The site/membership was convenient, but I wasn't really using it to it's full potential. Also, about 1/2 the time, their links don't work lol.

NOOOOOOOO.......Don’t tell me this!!!
We had the one click cancellation for years, then they changed it in favour of ringing “customer service” where they offer incentive after incentive to keep you and pressure you to stay.
