Good morning all, Temperature today will be 89* with scattered showers this afternoon and tonight. We had a downpour yesterday around 12:30pm but then it stopped and the sun came out. So Beka went to the pool at 2:00 and stayed until 5:00. There were around 35 people there so she had lots of friends to play with. And I fixed ham and mashed potatoes for dinner. Mashed potatoes are one of her favorites. We are hoping that she will be able to swim again today but it depends on the weather. Ed takes Beka and stays under an umbrella and reads while she swims. And I do my exercises here while they are gone. DD will pick Beka up tonight. I texted her to ask if she will be here for dinner and DGS and they both will be here. So I am making pork chops and rice. Phil, I don't watch the kids bake program (Ed doesn't like that kind of show) but I know my grandkids are pretty good cooks. Marlene, I'm glad it didn't take you as long to get an appointment as it did me. I hope you find an eye surgeon that you are happy with. My cataracts are not ready yet but I am really scared of someone playing with my eye sight. Mary, Samaritan's Purse is a Christian organization run by Franklin Graham. The Shoe Box ministry sends a shoe box filled with different items for kids around the world. These are kids who don't usually get anything for Christmas and there is also a book explaining the Christian faith in the box. The boxes are filled by individuals through their churches and are collected and sent to the Samaritan's Purse headquarters. This is the website that explains it: www.samaritanspurse.org/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child/Have a good one.

hi, I did not go to sit and sew today. so missed out on a lunch, cooked by a gal named mary. felt it was more important to stay home and get the upstairs in order.
don helped alot. I put my clutter away and did some dusting. it was his idea to do the low stuff for me.
he knows how hard it is for me to get low and back up again. this degeneration arthritis is no fun. now he is vacuming .hey I can see my glass shelves under the tv. oh yeah I go first won't have to worry about don. he is very self-sucuffient now ironing that is a different story, even though he did it in the air force.
maybe by friday I can get back to my sewing.really need to pick up clutter in that room. why is i tas crafters we clean and drag out something and make a mess.guess we would not be crafters if we didn't.
my eye doctor will be retired by the end of the year.we have had him so long, it will be hard to get use to a new doctor.we will get one that works with him.phyl

Becki, thanks for the info on that mission. So much good is done around the world by church organizations. I saw Billy Graham at a meeting when I was a teenager. My mom arranged for a youth group from our church to go. There was a massive group of people there.
Phyl, at least you have a craft room to leave your stuff out and around. My sewing machine is in my bedroom, and it catches a lot of things on top. My immediate knitting project(s) is right beside my recliner in a thingy basket and sometimes on an end table next to me, along with the tv remotes, etc. I am quite comfortable with my things next to me, but I have to tidy up if someone is coming!
I haven’t worked on anything crafty yet today. This morning I went to the monthly board meeting here. Then after lunch I went shopping to Fleet Farm and Walmart. I’m starting to get things ready to take to the cabin next week (with DD and family). I’ll be gone a week, leaving this coming Sat. Other DD will check on my cat here every day. There will be 7 at the lake the first part of the week. Then more will come later. We share the cooking and cleanup, most of us do anyway. Lots of fishing is done! We go to town on rainy or windy days and bum around. My DD and SIL own a big mobile home at a resort there and will rent a cabin for the overflow of people. I’ll have my own bedroom in the cabin. You probably didn’t need to know all of this, but as I went on I figured I should explain. This place is about 4-5 hours away, so it’s not a quick trip. DD & SIL go there every weekend all summer that they both have off. BBL to see if the others are here.

Not much from me again today. We went to Madison but it wasn't a very productive trip. The edging DH wanted to look at was more money then he wanted to pay right now. Also we don't have the area where it will go ready for it. Aldi's was out of quite a few things that I was looking for:(. we came back & went to the small town where we usually shop. Had lunch & then stopped at WM for my prescription & couple other things. Stopped at Peck's - a roadside market place - & got sweet corn. We had some for supper.
I walked a couple miles late this afternoon. After I do dishes my day will be over.
