Jim did better at staying up today. He got up early thanks to Shana waking him and went back for a 2 hr. nap but much better than yesterday. It has been well into the 100's most of the day. It was 102 about an hour ago. Nancy: I guess I got your 2 sons mixed up....Had the wrong one on the east coast. But, so glad you're having family fun. Sandy: I guess I could have mulch delivered also.....but, no one to spread it at the beach house so better off in bags. Be careful what you do....don't want to hurt yourself. Let's get into our circle of wagons now and sing by the fire "WE CAN DO THIS, YES WE CAN...WE CAN LOSE NEW POUNDS...MY THIN FRIENDS!"

Hi everyone thanks for the start Kathie. Glad that Jim had a better day thanks to Shana. It's 60 here this am going up to 81 later.
Looks like no one showed up after me yesterday. Just the 3 of us. Had a fun filled day at the Fair. Today we'll take the car for an oil change and go to the casino followed by the fair. Got a lot of dancing in and walking for 13502 steps in also wine and food followed by a cream puff. Met a lot of my friends. Hope everyone has a fun filled Wednesday! Hugs and blessings to us all! See you in the morning

Fred is golfing this morning and I have nothing planned. I do need to get to Wal-Mart but have to wait for him to get back as all cars will be gone!
Heard from Fred's sister who's planning a dinner for Fred as a belated birthday celebration and she reserved a private room at a steakhouse. She has invited all in town relatives and also said boyfriends are included! Debbie said Sam is very excited to meet everyone as he believes strongly in family ties and thinks it's good for dating couples to meet each other's family. There will be 19 there and that's just the ones who live in town as on Fred's side there are now 85! She's funny as she's almost treating this like a wedding reception as she said open bar and appetizers start at 6 and then we'll each order our dinners when we get there. This is his youngest sister who owns the condo on Maui so even though this place is very expensive she has said it's her treat. The good thing is even though it's very expensive it's also very casual. She's in town for her 50th high school reunion and does this whenever she comes to town as she and her husband are either at their home in Portland or at their condo on Maui. So August 16 we will finish celebrating Fred's 76th birthday!

Must stick a post in here before the day evaporates again. For the last two days, I have just enjoyed having nothing on the schedule and being able to finally do a few things that I have delayed. I FINALLY took a look at the Strasburg crock which the wheelchair and my head broke when I fell in February. It has been sitting in a box behind a chair since then. There is no way anyone could restore it so it would have its former value, but it possibly could be glued together for me to use as a vessel for a flower arrangement, as my sister-in-law had it. I haven't even had the heart to tell DB#4 that it is broken. He gave it to me when he sold his house, and downsized. DSIL had a lovely dried flower arrangement in it. I have contacted two pottery companies here in the valley, and they said to send them the photos, which I will do, but I imagine they will agree with me that gluing it back together for my own use, will be about all that we could do.
Sandy, how nice of your sister-in-law to hostess the dinner for Fred for all the family. Kathie, those temps are what the northern gals are having, and ouch! We only got into the high 80s and that was because it was cloudy all day and RAINY. Nancy, I am enjoying your photos of your and Tony's activities. You always have such fun when he is there. And in those photos, you look like the young one. Where is Phyl? We have missed her. Wasn't she having surgery or something? Must get some activity in before chapel. Bobby says he doesn't want breakfast, so I will make something for me and walk or do the NuStep. Today the scales are down a little; I have tracked, tracked, and gotten my activity. I do hope it will go down another # or so this week. Have a good day friends. We can do this, though some days I have my doubts.
