So glad the day is over. We left for the doctor about 10 ish and didn't get home until 2PM so Jim is still napping. I bought him Arby's on the way home so he had a full tummy. Long test for breathing and it will be about 2 weeks before we get results. I still have 2 more appts. to make for him.....sleep and stress tests. Sandy: So glad to hear the idiot took the plea deal.....He is such a loser, I sure hope the judge that does the divorce sees it. Did you ever get to Costco? One of these days I should go there again. I get most of my stuff at Smart "n" Final which is much easier for me. Nancy: Sometimes the medical staff calls to remind me of the appts. but I think it depends on which department. I sure didn't get a reminder on the respiratory one. Glad you are having such a great time with family. That is good for you and them. Let's get into our circle of wagons now and sing by the fire "WE CAN DO THIS, YES WE CAN...WE CAN LOSE NEW POUNDS...MY THIN FRIENDS!"

Hi everyone thanks for the start Kathie. Glad you've started on the tests for Jim. I can remember doing all those with my DH. Hope they find something they can do for Jim. We wanted to try the gyros at Arby's but we never got there.
Sandy great news that Jeff took the plea deal. Hope the divorce goes as quickly!
WE had another great day yesterday! Walked in a new park that I hadn't walked in before. Then we did the children's garden walk at the library. I'm so happy to have those pictures and checked out the memorial fountain that had the grave of an unknown soldier. I go to the library all the time saw the fountain but never checked it out. Had a great lunch with Bill and then went to see MaMa Mia. I really enjoyed that show. Cher looked great and so did Meryl. Of course I loved the music! Today we go to celebrate my DB birthday at Red Robin. I think we'll walk at Whitnall Park this am. It is 60 now going up to 80. Have a great Friday! Hugs and Blessings to us all! See you in the morning

Today Bridgette and Bailey have grooming appointments. Bridgette doesn't go often since she's a beagle but Bailey goes every six weeks.
Never made it to Costco yesterday so still need to get a few things from the store but not sure if I want to go to Costco or just go to Hy-Vee which is closer.
Maija is happy not to have to testify and we hope Jeff asks to be allowed to move to Florida as there's nothing left for him here since he cut all ties with his mother and sister and Debbie and Maija are cutting their ties with him. Debbie did ask Maija if he did leave wouldn't she be sad not to be able to rebuild a relationship with him and she said Mom you can't rebuild something you never had to begin with. I don't know if the DA will contact the kids to let them know the case is closed or make them just call the courthouse the morning of the scheduled trial date to be told not to report.
Debbie was saying yesterday Jeff still has not submitted a financial disclosure form and she thinks he's really paranoid that she'll try to get some of his inheritance which she can't get and doesn't want. So now that the criminal case is over she wonders if he'll throw in the towel for the divorce and leave without submitting a financial disclosure which could have the court award him nothing which would be the best thing. She said if he did submit the financial it would show that just one of his checks is more than she makes in a year and the rest of the farm sale will give him four times that amount and then what will be coming to him when his mom passes is close to a million dollars! In his first response to Debbie filing for divorce he claimed he had no funds or any way to support himself and that was submitted on June 26 and the first part of the farm sale was closed on June 22nd so he's already told that lie! So it'll be interesting to see how that goes as the court has given him until August 20th to submit the disclosure. I can't believe that it's been almost four months since all this started so not much longer as after six months the divorce should be granted which would be October. But we have noticed that except for usual teenage girls issues Maija is a much happier and not stressed out young lady.

Oh me! I didn't post yesterday, but I have my laundry done, a clean house and will change the beds today as well as do the aerobic class at 9. I think I will make it tomorrow with being within the 2#. I hope so. We have so much rain, that if we walked around much in the fields, we would be in mud to our ankles. The day starts sunny, but the rains come, no matter what. I do wish I could send the rain to CA. I need to clean off my balcony and water the plants there. They don't always get the rain. That will be my Friday with very conscious eating so I can get my monthly WI done tomorrow.
I got a reply from one of the antique dealer I contacted about the crock. She says to use Elmer's all purpose glue. She also told me, after she saw the photos, that it was a signed crock and would have been worth about $1000. Oh well. I will glue it back and enjoy it.
Nancy, you are a marvel. You and Tony have such a good time because you still have the energy to keep going. He takes great pictures too. Sandy, my prayer is that Jeff will fold on the divorce too, keep what he has, and MOVE. Your Maija is so smart - has her head screwed on straight and will be fine when all of this is over. Now I must get dressed and ready for the class. We can do it - I have just proved it to myself that if we do the program, it works.
